CAS Card Set by Melanie

Hello! Melanie here today to share a Clean-and-Simple (CAS) card set that I put together.

For this project, I challenged myself to using: 10 sheets of cardstock, 2 sheets of SRM stickers, and a variety of die-cuts and ribbon in my stash bowl.

Knowing that the majority of these cards would be used for mailing purposes, I kept them (mostly) flat. To add texture, I using embossing templates with my die cutting machine. 

I kept the designs fairly similar to keep the process streamlined. The first step was to cut the mats and layering pieces for each card. Then I ran the top layering pieces through the embossing. Next, I matched up the stickers, die-cuts, and ribbons. After adhering the pieces together for each card, I snapped this photo to show the simple and similar designs:

Then I adhered the card faces to the card bases and am so thrilled to have 20 cards ready to go! Here are a few of them close up:

My mom has a birthday this month. She loves getting handmade cards as a gift (she writes several letters and notes each month). I tucked a set of cards into one of the SRM white glassine bags, along with envelopes, stamps, and a writing pen. Then I decorated the bag a bit for fun.

Working this way was a good process for me. I could work in steps and bits of time here or there. Clean and Simple works really well for me :) Enjoy your day!

You Make Me Smile by Michele

Hello there! Michele here with a duo of water colored cards in two color schemes. 

I stamped the background stamp with Versamark and embossed it in white.  I used my Zig Markers to color each in.  I went with a warmer color scheme for one, and cooler tones for the other.  

I added a sentiment from SRM's Thinking of Your Sticker Sentiment collection along with a few sequins and a silk ribbon.

Home Decor Vinyl by Christine

SRM's new spring colors of vinyl are great for cutting with electronic machines but sometimes you just need a nice background and need a simple cut.  They work great for that too!  Christine joining you today with a home deocr piece that I made for our newly redecorated master bedroom.

When I saw this pastel blue vinyl I knew it would be perfect to use in our Master Bedroom.  I picked up this undecroated frame at a big box store.  I measured and cut out a piece of the vinyl to fit in the center and then decorated it from there with more SRM goodies!

I wanted a soft romantic touch to the frame but still with a modern feel.  Enter burlap, lace, and vellum - perfect for creating that look!  The frame came with six clips to hang things from and although I could have removed some, I liked the look of six.  I knew I wanted to do two pictures so that left four open.  I attached the circle sticker from the Fancy Sentiments/Thinking of You set to white cardstock and cut that out to fill one clip.  I also added a small circle from the Fancy Sentiments/Love set to a tag for another clip.

Then came the last two clips which happen to be my favorite!  First I used 4" lace and ran it through a manual die cut machine to cut it into a heart.  I then added a smaller burlap heart on top of the lace.  I used titles from the We've Got Your Sticker Happy and We've Got Your Sticker Forever on top of vellum to add some big words to the frame.

Water Colors and Coffee….by Michele

Good morning! Michele here with another version of Jane's Doodle's Tea Time set.  

I stamped it in a light distress ink, so the edges would be incorporated into the watercolors. It gives it a more "painterly" feel.  It's not as neat or precise, but I love the look of it.  

I added a sticker sentiment from the Thinking of You Sticker collection, some ribbon and lots of lovely sequins.

Hey there! Michele here with a water colored card to share with you today!  I used this pretty new set by Jane's Doodles for SRM called Fancy Doodles. 

I stamped each flower twice with Versamark and heat embossed it in white. I used water colors on each flower and leaf. 

I fussy cut the flowers and popped the center flower up with foam tape. I added a pearl to each of the centers.   

I water colored the back panel in shades of purple and gold.  For my finishing touches I added several sequins, satin ribbon, and a clear sticker sentiment from SRM's Life is Good Border.

Miss You Card by Tessa Wise

Hi!  It's Tessa sharing with you today.  I am loving the addition of Jane's Doodles Clear Stamps to the SRM Store!  I thought I'd share a card I created recently using the adorable Home Sweet Home Stamp Set.

I diecut a journaling card out of watercolor paper and stamped the apartment building and clouds on it using Staz On ink.  I watercolored the image using my ink pads and let it dry.  I also stamped the little heart onto watercolor paper and painted it in as well. When it was dry, I cut around it and added it to the main image with some foam tape.

I created a card base out of sand cardstock and added some green patterned paper to the bottom portion.  I added a white stitch sticker from the Sticker Stitches/Halloween Sticker Sheet along the top.  I wrapped it with a bit of twine, ending in a bow over to the left side.  I added the stamped panel next, using foam tape for dimension.  The sentiment sticker from the Sentiment/Thinking of You Sticker Sheet was placed onto vellum and punched out with a circle punch.  I added it to complete the look!

Hello!  Shannon here today using lots of SRM goodies on a card.  There's never enough "just because" cards...SRM Stickers and Jane's Doodles together can help you create something fabulous! Look at this "hello friend" card I created:

In this card you'll find many awesome things...like the Little Miss Mia Stamp Set (see adorable dog) and the Boris the Bunny Stamp Set (see minty heart). 

Then I added punched pieces, those always versatile Sticker Stitches,  some sentiments thrown in for good measure (We've Got Your Sticker Plus/Birdie) and a project is never complete without twine (Ocean colored,  of course!). Whew, that was a mouthful...but see?!?! The possibilities are endless. You can create so many things with all of the goodies at SRM!

Here are a few close ups, if you haven't used these Jane's Doodles stamps for SRM yet...you must! The quality is phenomenal and the application is wonderful...easy, seamless and I am stamping impaired...so if I'm telling you this, then RUN, don't walk to these stamps...marry them if you have to!

I'm serious. Even the sentiment was super easy to apply and work with. I LOVE these stamps. I likely could have just started the apocalypse because everyone who knows me, knows I am deeply intimidated by stamps! You can see how the sentiments and stitches work perfectly with these stamps as well! See below:

Elephants Love to Celebrate card by Lorena

Hello there, SRM friends! Lorena here. Have you noticed that elephant stamps are trending lately? They're so cute and perfect for different occasions! For baby, of course, but also for wishing a happy birthday, or for a congratulations card. 

Today, I am sharing a celebratory card with the lovely elephant from the Baby Jungle stamp set.  Love all the darling images from which to choose and also the dot border!

I made a shaped card by die cutting twice a huge tag die from my stash and adhering it together to form the card base. Second, I stamped a green ground for the elephant to stand on, using the polka dot strip from the Doodle Flowers stamp set. I love how cute those polka dots are, and how easy is to stamp a whole background with them in just seconds!  Once I had the ground, I added the sky using watercolors. Nothing fancy here, just brushed some blue watercolor on the card :)

The elephant was paper pieced and then accented a bit with a marker. I cut my own speech bubble using a sticker from Sentiment/Thinking of You and layering it on cardstock. Every elephant needs a speech bubble, right? As one last touch, I wanted to make the sentiment pop. It is originally an outlined font, so I filled in the letters with a black alcohol marker.

Of course, the card wouldn't be finished without a touch of baker's twine. I used the Marigold twine here. I also threw in a few die cut stars to increase the celebratory feeling. Thanks for stopping by!

Floral Bouquet Cards by Michele

Hey there! Michele here with a few cards I made with some digital cuts from 17 Turtles and SRM!  They are a match made in heaven I tell ya!  I used Floral Bouquet for all 3 cards.  This is such a fun cut, and one I will definitely be using quite a bit!

My first flower was cut using water color paper and given a water color wash.  I added glossy accents and sprinkled with with clear German glass glitter.  I added a sentiment to pink vellum from the Wishing You Well collection. 

My second card was also water colored, but this time in bold reds and purples.  I added glossy accents to both the flowers and leaves. The leaves were given a dose of the German glass glitter.  I added a sentiment from SRM's Thinking of You collection.  I also added a SRM 4" white doily behind the image. 

My last card is my favorite.  (Am I allowed to have a favorite? LOL!) The flower was cut in white and given a coat of glossy accents.  I added clear sequins to the center of the flower and popped up the outer edges using foam tape.  The background was water colored, a few sequins, some ribbon, and a sentiment also from SRM's Thinking of You collection was all that was needed to finish off the card.

Bold Sentiment Cards by Lorena

Welcome back to our celebration of 17 Turtles Digital Cut files!

Hello everyone! Are you ready for another dose of inspiration on how to combine SRM products and the awesome 17 Turtles digital files? Lorena here with a couple of cards using the This is Magic cut file and lots of SRM goodies, too! The cut file I'm using is chocking full of lovely script words that are perfect both for cards and scrapbook layouts.

Here's my first card:

I started creating a rainbow background using SRM's Punched Pieces (medium size). Next, I die cut the word happy from the This is Magic cut file, covered it in embossing ink and hear embossed it using a black sparkling embossing powder. You should see how much it shines in real life!!! To complete the sentiment, I used a sticker from Sentiment/Thinking of You. I adhered the stickers to a piece of cardstock and made some very detailed trimming around it.

For the second card, I started with a stenciled background. Of course, I made my own stencil using SRM's Heavy Weight Stencil Sheet. As I've said many times, I adore this product :)

This time I used the word Hello from the digital cut file and, like on the first card, I covered it with heat embossing powder. I added three layers of embossing powder and the result is fantastic! Looks like a giant enamel word! To complete the card I used a sentiment and a butterfly from We've Got Your Sticker/Hello. I love that this sheet has some white sentiments too!!! I also modified the butterfly center using a Copic marker and embellished it with rhinestones.

Creating these cards was super fun! One of the things I like the most about die cutting words from digital files is that you can make them the size you want. I hope you'll give this a try and have some fun combining digi files with SRM goodies! Thanks for visiting!

The Gold Trend by Cathy H.

Cathy Harper is loving the gold trend that you are seeing in almost all of the new paper collections this summer and she thinks that SRM has the perfect gold doily to embellish all of those projects.  Cathy loves how this card turned out and so do I! The gold doily really sets off the the colors in the papers she chose.  Cathy used her Silhouette Cameo to cut the fun card base and little banners.  



She loves the fun little detail stickers from the Sticker Stitches/Valentine set on the side where the mason jar vase is. And she loves the detail that the "best wishes" sticker adds from the Thinking of You Sticker Sentiments.

 Of course, Cathy added a bit of Twinery Twine in Blossom Pink. She rarely creates a card without twine.  It's one of her "go to" supplies. 

 Cathy can't wait to create a layout with these gorgeous gold doilies!

Michele Kovack is here today playing with her favorite new SRM product, Punched Pieces!  She's having a lot of fun with these.  Here's her project described in her own words.

"Hi there! Michele here with another idea for using those fun SRM punched shapes!  I had this great fern stamp by JustRite Papercraft and stamped it in glue on cream cardstock. I then stamped it in 3 other colors of glitter on the punched pieces, and placed them over the first image using pop dots." 

"I wanted to connect the 3 punched pieces so I used some flowers I had created using my Silhouette, gold cording, black string, and a thinking of you sentiment from SRM. I added a few sequins and matted the main image in coordinating colors."  

Michele has some more cards in the near future using these 

Punched Pieces! So stay tuned!  Who would have thought that such a simple product would provide such crafty inspiration for Michele?  Love it! 

1 Sticker - 4 Cards by Lesley

Using 1 Thinking of You Fancy Sticker Sentiment, some doilies and Twinery Twine, Lesley Croghan has created a quartet of beautiful cards.  Sit back, relax and enjoy!  And be inspired too!

The first card uses some vellum which is a perfect surface for SRM's clear stickers.

Love how Lesley wrapped the card with some pretty Blossom Pink Twinery Twine!

For her second card, Lesley included a delicious SRM Doily and created a lovely layered flower.  

The Thinking of You sentiment is mounted on white cardstock.  Those clear stickers melt down into any surface!

For her third card Lesley used a big, bold circular sentiment.  Love it!

The lovely layered punched butterflies adorned with pearls is perfect!

And for her final card Lesley used a smaller circular sentiment, some delicate die cut pieces and some delicious Peapod Green Twinery Twine.  YUM!

Put them all together and they spell GORGEOUS!  What a beautiful set loaded with inspiration.
