Homespun Hostess Gifts by Lesley

Hello SRM fans! LESLEY here! Christmas is coming and this year I plan to have some "Hostess Gifts" ready for all of the marvelous Christmas parties we will attend! I decided to use the versatile BURLAP BAGS with some LACE and stickers to create some sweet little treats.

I found this cute "Chalkboard" ornament and decided to decorate it with some paper, washi tape and a sentiment from the FANCY SENTIMENT CHRISTMAS STICKERS.

The LACE is SO easy to use and really dresses up the burlap!

I also wanted to make a bag to hold some "sweet treats" and I used the LABELS BY THE DOZEN-MADE BY STICKERS. They are so sweet and I thought the gingham suited the burlap bag! Of course, Christmas is all about gold and shine, so I used a GOLD LACE DOILY to dress up the CANVAS TAG.

What a lovely pair of homespun hostess gifts these would make!

Welcome to day #7, the final day of the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.  SRM has been very excited to be part of this great event.  We have been a Super Sponsor and that means there are SRM giveaways on the Coffee Lovers Blog. Today is the last day.  If you want to join in the fun, be sure to create a card and link it to the blog hop.

Hi everyone, Cathy here with you again today and I am sharing another fun coffee treat idea with you using SRM's fabric bags, Heat Transfer Vinyl and gold doilies.

SRM Stickers Blog - Day #7 - Coffee Lovers Blog Hop - Coffee Love #2 by Cathy Harper - #muslinbag #burlapbag #doilies #golddoilies #heattransfervinyl #coffeeloversblog #‎summerclh‬

I created a couple of very simple little gift bags so that I could share some of my favorite Kuerig coffee cups with friends.  These are the perfect size for giving a little pick me up!  I used a couple of SRM bags… a Small Burlap Bag and a Small Muslin Bag, I then added a SVG cut from Ashley Horton's The Cut Shoppe using SRM's Black Heat Transfer Vinyl.  The HTV cuts like a dream and adhered easily to the sweet little bags.  I added my Kuerig cups and then just a bit more fun and detail with SRM doilies....a gold lace one and a white lace one.  The doilies are a perfect finishing touch to these.

Thanks for joining us today at SRM!
We have loved sharing lots of coffee related projects over the past week.
And we have loved being a part of the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!

If you would like to win a few of the goodies used on today's project, be sure to leave a comment here on the blog and be sure to check out all the fun over at the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.

Spring Cards with Cathy H

Hi everyone!  Cathy Harper here with you today and I am sharing some Spring Cards with SRM Goodies!  First up, a easy Thank you with Thank you Stickers By the Dozen using the sentiment and one of the fun flowers!  And of course a gorgeous gold doily along with a wrap of Strawberry Twine.

Next up, just a cute card to send a bit of Sunshine to a friend.  I created this card with
We've got Your Sticker/Hello using the hello sunshine sentiment.  I layered a banner along with an hot pink punched scalloped circle.  I love to use the punched pieces for layering...the perfect accent.  I used some white sticker stitches from Christmas Sticker Stitches along with a yellow scalloped border from We've Got Your Border/Thank You.  And always, my finishing touch of SRM Baker's Twine in Strawberry!

St. Patrick's Day Doily Banner by Christine

I have always wanted to make a banner using doilies and when I saw the new green ones that SRM has I knew it was gonna have to be a St. Patrick's Day banner!  Christine joining you today with a DIY banner that uses SRM's gorgeous green and gold doilies! This project makes me really wish I had a beautiful fireplace mantle - since I don't we have it hanging up in our kitchen entryway.

SRM Stickers Blog - St. Patrick's Day Doily Banner by Christine - #banner #stpatrickesday #doilies #golddoilies #punchedpieces #twine #DIY

This was super easy to create - let me share with you how I did it!  I used foam adhesive and layered a Gold Lace Doily on top of a Green Lace Doily.  They layer perfectly because the Gold ones are four inches and the Green ones are six inches.

SRM Stickers Blog - St. Patrick's Day Doily Banner by Christine - #banner #stpatrickesday #doilies #golddoilies #punchedpieces #twine #DIY

I used gold vellum to cut out stars and attached those to Large White Punched Pieces.  These again layered perfectly onto the doilies as they are 2 1/2 inches in size.  Adding letters to spell out LUCKY and some gemstones was the final touch.

SRM Stickers Blog - St. Patrick's Day Doily Banner by Christine - #banner #stpatrickesday #doilies #golddoilies #punchedpieces #twine #DIY

I hung them on a piece of Solid Peapod Twine using clothespins. If the look of clothespins isn't your thing or you don't have any - you could just string the twine through the doilies and make a great banner too!

I love it when companies make such versatile products - good for not just paper crafts but home decor too!  We'd love to see what kinds of projects you are making using SRM Stickers goodies!

Watercolored Owl Card by Stacey

Hello, SRM Stickers friends!
Stacey here today with a watercolored take on the new stamp line, Jane's Doodles, at SRM Stickers!

SRM Stickers Blog - Watercolored Owl Card by Stacey - #card #birthday #stamped #janesdoodles #owl #stickers #doilies #gold #watercolor

I stamped the fabulously detailed owl from SRM's new Jane's Doodles Clear Stamp/Wise Owl with Versamark ink and heat embossed it with black embossing powder.  I watercolored the owl and background with yellow, orange and green diluted distress inks and let dry.

The fun part of watercoloring is it allows you to get a little messy, er, artsy!  I diluted the distress inks more or less, creating different shades on the owl scene.

SRM Stickers Blog - Watercolored Owl Card by Stacey - #card #birthday #stamped #janesdoodles #owl #stickers #doilies #gold #watercolor

I added a couple of wiggly eyes and Stickers by the Dozen/Birthday Birdie across the top of the focal panel.  There's a peek of one of the Gold Lace Doilies - 4" Round to add some shine.

I hope you are inspired to add some watercoloring to your stamped and embossed images for an artsy look, too!

Valentine Treat Bags by Cathy H.

Hello!  Cathy here today with something sweet for you!  Valentine's Day is just around the corner and I have a couple of sweet treat bags to share with you today!  I used two SRM embossed bags, one glassine and one kraft, both embossed with the Flourish design.  You can find the glassine one here!  I will be filling these with treats and little coupons, one for my husband and the other to send home to my parents!  I used a gorgeous Gold Lace Doily as a jumping point for my bag, then layered with a few Silhouette cuts!  I used gold metallic paper for the "sweet" and the hearts!  Perfect with the Gold Lace Doily.  I painted an SRM mini clothespin black, to hold the "sweet"!  These embossed bags are so pretty, that they really take very little to decorate.  Gotta love that.  Next, I added a pink paper strip to match the heart, layered with a border sticker from the Love Sticker Sentiments set, then a thin strip of the gold metallic paper and one more adorable heart border from the Valentine We've Got Your Border set!

Now onto the Embossed Flourish Kraft Bag.  I love working with all things Kraft colored, it just makes all your layers really pop.  Look how wonderful those layered doilies look against the Kraft background.  I used a 6 inch pink lace heart doily layered with a 4 inch Round White Lace Doily.  I added a punched circle of metallic gold for a little more pop and a chipboard heart.  I added two SRM Stickers to my tag with the little clouds from the Love Sticker Sentiments and then wrapped it with Caribbean Solid Twine!

The possibilities are endless with SRM Glassine and Kraft bags, so many sized and embossed patterns.  I will be making a couple more for the little people in my life too!

Valentine Card Set by Shantaie

Hi, I'm Shantaie and I have a sweet little Valentine set to share with you. Remember those little cardboard boxes filled with various Valentine note cards to hand out to our classmates? I recall there was always at least one particularly "romantic" saying that was both thrilling and embarrassing to give out!   Ah the "good old days"!  My Valentines were inspired by those little notes traded in elementary school, but much more grown up and glam.

SRM Stickers Blog - Valentine Card Set by Shantaie - #valentines #gift #stickers #twine, #doilies #clearenvelope #DIY

I picked a new SRM clear bag envelope to showcase the Valentines and all the little bits and pieces to give as a gift. I cut my Valentines from a Crafty Secrets creative scraps print, and embellished them with glitter and and gold doilies  I added sweet sentiments from the love fancy sticker sentiments and Valentine Stickers by the dozen.

SRM Stickers Blog - Valentine Card Set by Shantaie - #valentines #gift #stickers #twine, #doilies #clearenvelope #DIY

The bag contains several glass glittered cards and sweet little bits like tickets, buttons, and sequins to use on your cards or envelopes. Some of the cards are decked out with twine and little clothes pins.  To finish the gift bag I embellished the top with lace and a velvet knot, a canvas tag with a clear square sticker and a pearl heart stick pin.

I hope you were inspired to revamp the Valentine note card and make a set of them for yourself...or for someone you "like like"!  :)

Valentine Doily Banner by Tessa

Hi!  It's Tessa here with you today!  After taking down my Christmas decorations my house felt so boring.  I decided to spruce it up with some Valentine's decor.  I created a fun and frilly banner for my mantel using an assortment of SRM's Doilies.

This was fairly simple to make. I started by cutting 1" strips of white paper and attaching them end to end until it was the same width as my mantel.  I used a gluestick to glue down the doilies along the long strip of paper.  I varied the size, color, and position of each one for interest.

Once my doilies were down, I added some large and small scallop punched pieces in pink, red, and white.  I added some heart stickers from the Stickers by the Dozen/Valentine Sticker Sheet to the smaller scallop pieces.  I also added a sprinkling of sequins and a few bows tied with Pink Sorbet Baker's Twine.

I love the variety of doilies in the SRM store - hearts, metallics, large and small!  They are one of my favorite SRM products!  And since I created this banner, SRM has added some new doilies that I love in black, green, red and white.

It didn't take too long to put together and I think it looks great up on my mantel.  I can't wait to add a little bit of red and pink throughout the house now!  Do you decorate for Valentine's Day?
Thanks for joining me today

Celebrate Autumn by Cassonda

Hi Everyone! Cassonda here with a quick "Thanks" card you can send during (or after) the Thanksgiving holiday.  This card was delivered to the hostess of our annual Thanksgiving feast. :)

For this card I used some fun fall papers by Doodlebug. Super cute and they all coordinate which makes it easy to choose which ones to use. I didn't feel like pulling out my sewing maching this time so what did I do?? Reach for those awesome Sticker Stitches. They are wonderful and add just a little stitching touch to anything. I also added an orange Punched Piece and two Fall Sentiment stickers.

Now here's the cool part...and I hope you can see it ok (you might have to click the photo to see it up close.)  These SRM gold lace doilies can be cut up into whatever size you need. Perfect for when you need just a little bit. I cut out a little gold flower.

There's a little piece of gold peeking out from under the ribbon.  I just had to put it there.  All shiny.  And pretty.  And metallic-y.

Enjoy and have a great holiday weekend everyone!

Thanksgiving Table Treats by Tessa

Hello!  It's Tessa with you today, sharing an idea for your Thanksgiving table.  It's always fun to give a little treat on the holidays and I thought I'd use a kraft pillow box for mine this time.

SRM Stickers - Thanksgiving Table Treats by Tessa - #srmstickers #thanksgiving #pillow box #kraft #twine #stickers #doilies

I used stamps from Darcie's, patterned papers from Pink Paislee's Solstice 6x6 pad, gold doiliesStrawberry Coral twine, and the Fall sentiment stickers from SRM to decorate my boxes.

I colored the stamped images with Prismacolor colored pencils and fussy cut around them.

SRM Stickers - Thanksgiving Table Treats by Tessa - #srmstickers #thanksgiving #pillow box #kraft #twine #stickers #doilies

Isn't this sentiment perfect for this cute image of the kid dressed up as a turkey?  I love how they look together!  I also love how the gold doily looks peeking out from behind.

SRM Stickers - Thanksgiving Table Treats by Tessa - #srmstickers #thanksgiving #pillow box #kraft #twine #stickers #doilies

Although the boxes are very secure and don't easily pop open, I used the Strawberry Coral twine to keep them closed through dinner.  We have a lot of kids at our holiday party and I thought the extra twine might keep their hands away from the treats until after dinner. :)

SRM Stickers - Thanksgiving Table Treats by Tessa - #srmstickers #thanksgiving #pillow box #kraft #twine #stickers #doilies

The sentiment stickers were adhered to white cardstock.  I cut them into shapes using a couple of my favorite diecuts.  I used foam dimensional adhesive to adhere them down.  I love the dimension it adds!

Thanks for joining me today!  I hope you have fun planning your upcoming holiday table decor!

Doily Gift Tags by Lorena

Hey everyone! Lorena Cantó here to share a fun project that not only involves the pretty SRM gold and silver doilies but also making the most from your scraps!

So here we go...
I made a metallic gift tag set with the SRM doilies, a stamped sentiment and that gorgeous platinum and gold shimmer twine I can't get enough of.

SRM Stickers Blog - Doily Gift Tags by Lorena - #doilies #gold #silver #twine #shimmer #gift tag

Here's the how-to: First, you'll need to die cut the tags from cardstock. I used kraft as the base for the gold tags and white for the silver ones. Second, stamp and heat emboss the sentiment in the middle of the tags. I chose a new Waffle Flower Crafts stamp set.

Now comes the fun part. Adhere a gold doily to kraft cardstock and a silver one to white cardstock. The doilies are super detailed, so I found the best way to adhere all those filigrees was with... (you'll never believe this)... a glue stick!!! I never thought I would use a glue stick again in my crafting. Hello again, kindergarten!

SRM Stickers Blog - Doily Gift Tags by Lorena - #doilies #gold #silver #twine #shimmer #gift tag

Once the doilies are adhered to the cardstock, die cut again the tags from those pieces. The die I used allowed me to get two tags from each doily.  Next, trim the top and bottom of the "doily tags" and adhere those pieces to the base tags where you stamped the sentiment.  And because the metallic doilies are so detailed, I didn't want to overdo it, so the only embellishment I used is a tiny die cut heart.  Can you guess where those came from?

SRM Stickers Blog - Doily Gift Tags by Lorena - #doilies #gold #silver #twine #shimmer #gift tag

See? After die cutting the tags I was left with two metallic scraps from the middle of the doilies and there was no way I was throwing them away. Look how many tiny hearts I was able to get! I love the texture too. And now I have a bunch of pretty little hearts to use on other projects :)

This project can be replicated in other colors. You can check here all the different SRM doilies you can choose from!

Thanks for stopping by and see you soon!

Fancy Thank You Cards by Christine

Do you like to make cute cards, fancy cards, simple cards?  SRM Stickers has got you covered in all of those areas!  Christine Meyer joining you today and we're going to focus on fancy cards using some of the Fancy Sentiments Stickers!  There are six different topics available for your choosing - my cards today will be using the Thank You Fancy Sentiments Stickers.

SRM Stickers Blog - Fancy Thank You Cards by Christine - #fancy #stickers #thanks

Metallic colors just scream fancy and are so trendy right now!  I haven't played a ton with metallics lately so  I decided to focus on gold and silver elements in my fancy cards.

SRM Stickers Blog - Fancy Thank You Cards by Christine - #fancy #stickers #thanks #card #doily #silver #metallic

silver SRM doily made the perfect base for my circle sentiment and using it adds enough texture that I don't have to add a bunch more!  I added the sentiment sticker to a patterned paper intentionally so that those gold dots would pop out a little. I love having that option with clear stickers!

SRM Stickers Blog - Fancy Thank You Cards by Christine - #fancy #stickers #thanks #card #doily #silver #metallic

For my second card I used a patterned paper with gold metallic dots already on it.  I then added my Fancy Thank You stickers over the top of those and added sequins in between.  I focused my stickers on the middle row of polka dots.

These stickers fit perfectly on the gold dots with the black dotted outline circling the outside.  Despite the paper being a black color they still showed up and add a little something extra!

And did you know that SRM also has GOLD Doilies?  They are fabulous!  See all SRM Doilies HERE.
