Happy Birthday by Nina

What a very happy card this is from Nina Brackett.  So many wonderful things going on from the beautiful embossing, the fun stamped image and that SRM Sticker Border of happy banners all secured by Carribbean twine!  Love the bling on the flowers in the basket and in the center of the bicycle wheels.  The lovely lace adds a perfect finishing touch. And for her sentiment, Nina used Stickers by the Dozen Birthday.

Oh Nina, you've done it again.  You've inspired us all!

Hope you have a wonderful crafty weekend and we'll see you back here on Monday with more SRM Sticker goodness!  No fooling! :)

Guest Designer; Jill Foster

Please welcome Guest Designer, Jill Foster!  What a treat to have this uber talented crafter who is a friend and fan of SRM!  We are thrilled to showcase her amazing work with stamps, inks, stickers and just a touch of twine!  Jill is truly an artist who works wonders with any materials that she works with.

 Always looking for fresh inspiration, Jill loves to create cards, tags, and various mixed media projects.  As her “Inspired By” blog followers know, Jill loves to share her passion for paper, color, stamping, and stickers through video and photo tutorials..  She also designs for Penny Black stamps, Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft, and Ribbons Unlimited.

'Where to begin! I love working with SRM stickers.  They are of top quality and truly complement any stamped image.  I find them especially wonderful when I've finished a card and left the sentiment for the last step -- with a sticker sentiment there is no worry about ruining an entire project with a stamping boo-boo right at the end!  The pillowboxes were incredibly fun to decorate and they add a handmade touch to gift giving.  The glassine bags are great on cards or for gift giving as well.  I loved that I could ink and distress the bag, too. It's been an honor playing with SRM products and I love that not only is the product wonderful, so are the folks behind-the-scenes at SRM."

We gave Jill all of the new products from CHA Winter and she had great fun playing with them!  Here's a collage of the various projects that Jill made:

First up is a stunning card featuring inking and stamping on a glassine bag.  Jill added SRM's new Stickers by the Dozen Thank You to decorate both the outside of the bag and the removable tag.  So beautiful and bold!

The moment Jill opened her package of goodies from SRM she fell in love with the clear Pillow Boxes.  What a perfect palette for her artistry!
Using the Small and Large Pillow Boxes, Jill first decorated them with watercolor panels in some of her signature bright and bold colors.

Jill then added SRM Thank You Stickers by the Dozen, Mandarin and Lilac Twine some ribbon and buttons.  Simply gorgeous!

For her last project, Jill did a stamped card.  The coloring is exquisite! Who ever knew that stamping and stickers are such good companions! :)  On this card Jill used SRM's new Bright Blank Labels by the Dozen.  She says, "Love that these are labels are blank they work great with stamps!"

Thank you Jill for your wonderful creations.  We love your work and we love that you love your SRM Stickers!

To celebrate Jill's guest spot here at SRM Stickers, we'd like to host a giveaway!  Leave a comment on this post (make sure you're a follower first!) and we'll choose a winner to receive a prize packet that includes all of the SRM products that Jill used in her projects!

Make A Wish by Tobi

Tobi Crawford loves playing with paper and stickers and dies and embossing folders.  So when we asked our designers to combine SRM Stickers with embossing Tobi jumped right in with this fabulous card.

Tobi used an embossing folder from Cuttlebug called Forest Branches to give that rich texture.  She then stamped an image and added a sentiment from SRM's Fancy Birthday Sentiment Sheet.  Don't forget the Honeydew twine! :)

Be sure to join us tomorrow for a very special visit from Guest Designer Jill Foster!  And we'll be doing a GIVEAWAY as well!

Embossing, Die Cuts & Stickers by Nina

Nina Brackett's cards are simply gorgeous!  Here's a card she created using embossing and die cuts for the rooftops and then she added SRM's Valentine Borders to create the effect of smoke coming out the chimneys.  How fun is that!  The "I Love You" strip in red has the effect of Washi tape but it's a sticker.  And the Maraschino red and white twine is just perfect!  And by the way, that red heart is from SRM's Be Mine Quick Card.

Join us tomorrow for a very special layout from Michelle Bertuzzi!

Thank You Jenyfur! You're the Best!

You may have noticed recently some changes on the SRM Blog.  Sadly, our dear Jenyfur Pohl has decided to go back to work full time and is returning to her previous occupation of cell tower development.  Cell Tower development is a long way from her crafty pursuits but Jenyfur does a fabulous job in everything she does and I'm sure that she's going to be brilliant at this job too! :)

Jenyfur called me over 3 years ago and proposed that we put SRM Stickers on the map.  She organized the blog, did our first design team call and we were on our way.  Her goal was that everyone know about SRM Stickers and our wonderful clear sticker products.  And I would like to say that her mission was accomplished beyond expectations.

And here are just a few of my favorite projects from Jenyfur over the years.

Jenyfur loves to make sets of cards so the SRM Stickers by the Dozen Birthday were perfect for this stash of Birthday cards.  I love Jen's clean, crisp style!

And Jen loves to make altered projects like this teacher gift and matching card for her girl's teachers using SRM's Teacher Quick Card.

Jen loves to combine stamping and stickers like on these darling SRM Tubes with tags that were a favor at her daughter's birthday party.

Anything Jenyfur makes is always fabulous like this Valentine card and mini TUBE using SRM's Be Mine Quick Card and SRM's Decorative Mini Calendars.

I cannot thank Jenyfur enough for all that she has contributed to SRM.  She is so talented and sweet. I will miss her dearly. Please join me in wishing Jenyfur well and know that I fully expect to see her craftiness popping up from time to time on our Flickr and I will be sharing it with everyone one our Facebook.

Thank you Jenyfur.  You are the best!

Easter Bunny Basket by Michelle

Michelle Bertuzi has created Easter baskets chock full of goodies for her kids.  And oh my, you are in for a treat!

Let's take a peek at what Michelle put into her basket.  First, there's a 4 x 6 Glassine Bag, stamped and stickered and sealed with washi tape.  Fun!

Next up are a pair of adorable eggs that Michelle wrapped in Pink Sorbet and Honeydew twine.  Michelle says, "Took a wee bit of extra work but I think they're worth it".  I would agree!

Michelle created tags to to personalize each basket.  Love the fun stamped image, the SRM Easter and Spring stickers and the ribbon with just a touch of
twine!

I love how Michelle decorated the inside of the handle of the basket with SRM Pastel Border Stickers.

Last but not least, Michelle cut 5 pieces of Peapod twine about 2" and placed a brad in the middle to hold the twine.  She then made a small hole on the lids of  Skinny TUBES to insert the brad so that she created a carrot stem!  Add orange candy and you are good to go!

Items Used in this project:
Glassine Bag (4 3/4 x 6 3/4)   #65004
Sticker Sentiments - Spring #51010
Express Yourself - Easter #42031
We've Got Your Border - Pastel #57009
The Skinny Tube #38004
Twine - Pink Sorbet #68002;
Peapod #68009; Honeydew #68010; Flax #68020

There's still time to create some baskets of your
own if you hop to it!  Thanks for the inspiration Michelle!

Lastly, we'd like to announce that SRM Stickers is sponsoring the new challenge at CAS-ual Fridays!  Pop over to play along for a chance to win a SRM Stickers Prize Package!

Happy Graduation by Melanie

It's Graduation time! Here's an idea for a graduation card by Melanie Jarocki. ;

Melanie says, "I created this card using Graduation Stickers by the Dozen. The circular image stickers work perfectly with a 1-1/4" circle punch, and are easy to then mat with a 1-1/2" circle. I added small gems to highlight the sentiment and add detail to the hat. The small-font sentiments on the sheet of stickers add an extra finishing touch to the card."  For more grad project ideas, click HERE!

Clare Buswell recently discovered that our Tiny Tubes fit perfectly inside our medium sized pillow boxes. She set out to create a pretty thank you gift, combining the two;

Clare decorated the items with Thank You Stickers by the Dozen and pastel border stickers. A bit of twine to attach the tag to the box and she was done!

Daddy's Girl by Melanie

Melanie Jarocki has been working on wedding layouts for a dear friend. Melanie says, "I LOVED this photo of my friend's father giving her a kiss after the wedding. I can only imagine the emotions he felt as he let his little girl go, all grown up now and married." Melanie captured the moment beautifully in her layout;

Using one of our decorative mini calendar stickers was a great way to focus on the date!

Mini Thank Yous by Tessa

Tessa Buys needed a few little thank you gifts. She grabbed our new tiny tubes and went to work! Tessa says, "I have three sweet friends who deserved a big thank you, but knowing that they are watching their waistlines, I didn't want to give them too tempting of a treat. The tiny tubes are a fabulous way to give something sweet, but in a nice, small portion. I filled the tubes with chocolate-covered raisins and attached feather-embellished tags with the gold shimmer twine. The brown "thank you" sentiments were a perfect match."

We offer a variety of tubes that you can view/purchase HERE. Thank YOU, Tessa!

Thank You Pillow Boxes by Virginia

Virginia Lu assembled a pretty little thank you gift using our medium sized pillow box filled with soap bars. Virginia says, "With dry embossing, the pillow box gets an instant textured look! It's so effortless! This project did not require glue. With SRM Stickers, it was put together very easily - the sticker stitches not only act as a "glue", they also add detail to the packaging."
