Design Team Farewell by Susan

Saying goodbye is always difficult for me.  Next week our new design team will begin it's term which is very exiting!  Some of our current team members will be joining the new team, but for those team members who are not, I wanted to salute you for your wonderful projects, your friendships and your talent.  I hope that each of you will return to do guest design spots for SRM.  You are always welcome here!

Today, I'm going to share a favorite project from each of the departing team members.  

First up is Juliana Micheals.  What a dear. And what a talent.  I love everything that Juliana makes.  It was hard to choose my favorite but I decided that I love what she does with vinyl so here's my favorite project.  With Halloween not far off, you still have time to create this fun idea.  Juliana uses SRM's black vinyl and Black Striped patterned vinyl on this project. 

Next, a big thank you to Tessa Buys who has been working with SRM products since 2011.  What amazing work she does.  She always makes SRM look good.  I love what Tessa has done with SRM products in her planner.  One this page she's used lots of clear sticker sentiments and some Sticker Stitches too.  Beautiful!  

And how fortunate we have been to have Lesley Croghan on our team.  Her projects are always perfection.  She loves making gift sets using SRM containers and stickers and since she is a teacher what a perfect idea to have a gift set for back to school.  Thank you Lesley for being such a great team member.  Hope you will come back for a guest designer feature.  

And thanks to Amy Crockett for her beautiful work using SRM products,  Her card making is beautiful.  Love this card that has lots of Sticker Stitches, Sticker Sentiments and a little lady bug sticker all from SRM.  Thank you Amy for your wonderful work with SRM.  

Next up is Annette Allen who just started her own online business so she left the team a little early.  We miss her so.  Not only is she a wonderful talent but this girl's got energy.  What a positive, kind and loving person she is.  We wish her nothing but the best!  Love this project using SRM Stickers.  She always creates something special.  If you want to make this project, the frame is from Ikea.  And the mini calendars are from SRM!

Although we have to say farewell, I know that it is not goodbye.  I know that we will see all of these ladies from time to time using their SRM products and sharing with us. 

Thank you to you all!  I love you and will miss you so!

2012 Design Team Call

Design Team Call!

SRM Stickers, a leading scrapbook and card making sticker manufacturer, is hosting a Design Team Call! Our current group of amazing Designers is leaving after their year term. We're looking for fresh faces and talent to embark on a 12-month term. If you love working with stickers, keep reading because we may love working with you! We're looking for card makers as well as layout team members and altered artists to join our Design Team as we head into 2012 on a mission to dazzle, inspire and create. You're a perfect fit if you love stickers, blogging, and inspiring others through your work. Now for the details...


Design Team Requirements

You will be required to submit 2-3 assigned projects per month using SRM Stickers.

You will be asked to remain active at the SRM Stickers Blog as well as the Private Design Team Member blog.

You will be asked to participate in special events such as blog hops, challenges, and co-merchandising features.

Your term will be for the period of one year; February 1st 2012 through January 31st 2013.


The Perks

You will be provided with ample product to create your samples including new releases and complementary product like calendars and tubes!

You will be provided with a SRM Stickers Design Team Badge to proudly display on your blog.

You will be designing for a manufacturer and your photograph/bio will appear at the SRM Stickers Manufacturing Blog.

Your work will be promoted to our retailers across the world.

You may be offered additional design team work for special shows, promotions, or publication materials.

As part of our strong relationships with other manufacturers in the industry, from time to time you will receive product to complement SRM Stickers, and to use for your samples.

I am a happy mother to three energetic, wonderful boys and wife to a very supportive husband. I love the arts and am a professional dancer, teacher, and choreographer. When I'm not dancing, I am getting crafty and creating for my Etsy shop, Precocious Paper. I love being able to record my family history through scrapbooking, make a friend smile with a card, and make my house a home with altered projects. I am absolutely thrilled to be designing for SRM Stickers and I am grateful for the opportunity.

My name is Rae Barthel, and I live in Huntsville, Alabama, with my wonderful husband of 15 years and our three amazing children, Michael (13), Lauren (10), and Matthew (7), and our dog Chase, the Sheltie, and Lulu, the Yorkie. My card making hobby started eight years ago; I just love the creative outlet that it provides. I live just east of Seattle in a valley near the mountains with my husband and 5 children. Scrapbooking and card making have been hobbies of mine for over a decade now. I love creating special projects for my family and friends. When I'm not paper-crafting, doing laundry, or carpooling, I enjoy reading with my kids, playing board games, and baking. And sometimes I like to just sit in the backyard and look at the mountains. It is such a thrill to be on the SRM stickers 2011 Design Team! I'm really looking forward to the year ahead creating with SRM products.

I have always had a passion for arts and crafts. I was introduced into the world of paper crafting about 8 years ago and I have been hooked ever since. I am lucky that I can be a stay-at-home mom to my three adorable children who enjoy crafting right along side me. I also love to cook and bake (I am always trying out new and exciting recipes), as well as reading, family history research, camping, hiking, and fishing. I am very honored to be a part of the SRM Stickers Design Team.
