Watercolored Owl Card by Stacey

Hello, SRM Stickers friends!

Stacey here today with a watercolored take on the new stamp line, Jane's Doodles, at SRM Stickers!

I stamped the fabulously detailed owl from SRM's new Jane's Doodles Clear Stamp/Wise Owl with Versamark ink and heat embossed it with black embossing powder.  I watercolored the owl and background with yellow, orange and green diluted distress inks and let dry.  

The fun part of watercoloring is it allows you to get a little messy, er, artsy!  I diluted the distress inks more or less, creating different shades on the owl scene.  

 I added a couple of wiggly eyes and Stickers by the Dozen/Birthday Birdie across the top of the focal panel.  There's a peek of one of the Gold Lace Doilies - 4" Round to add some shine.

I hope you are inspired to add some watercoloring to your stamped and embossed images for an artsy look, too!

Welcome Jane Beljo - New Design Team Member!

SRM is so excited to be working with Jane Beljo and her Jane's Doodles Stamps and we thought wouldn't it be fun to have Jane as part of our Design Team!  And so today we are excited to announce that Jane is the newest member of SRM's Design Team with a focus on clear stamps!  Can't wait to see what magic she creates! 

Let's meet Jane!  She was on the very first SRM Design Team in 2010 and I fell in love with her creative style.  Jane lives in Zagreb, Croatia where she's a mom, an artist and a designer.  SRM is now distributing Jane's wonderful line of clear stamps, Jane's Doodles.  They go so well with all the products in the SRM line and we can't wait to see what Jane does weaving Jane's Doodles and SRM together. 

Today Jane shares a couple of fun and fabulous cards.  One with Spring in mind. The other is perfect for Valentines.  

For her first card, Janes uses Jane's Doodles Springtime stamp and SRM's Spring Sticker Sentiments.  Stamps and clear stickers are a perfect match! 

And for her second card, which is all about love, Jane features Seamus Sheep, one of my favorite of her stamp designs.  Don't you just adore him?

Valentine Banners Treat Bag by Lorena

Hello, SRM friends! Lorena here today and I'm so happy to be back on the blog after all the Christmas craze! Today I have an idea for decorating the SRM Kraft Bags so they are perfect for packaging a flat Valentine's treat or gift. I used the larger bag size with a coloring book or perhaps a tall Valentine's card in mind.

The first step was stamping rows of hearts with a light pink pigment ink. This kind of ink shows much better on kraft. I love the look of patterned kraft bags, and with the SRM kraft bags you can stamp your own custom designs! How fun is that? Hearts, chevrons, stripes, polka dots...
Once all the stamping was done, I created a bag topper with red cardstock and secured it to the bag with a bit of double sided adhesive tape on the inside of the cardstock. Use just a little strip, so the recipient can easily open the bag.

 With the topper in place, now comes the fun part: decorating it! I wanted to show you how versatile the SRM border stickers can be, so I used the We've Got Your Border/Valentine stickers in different ways and not just as borders. First, I adhered the lovely banners border to a piece of red cardstock, trimmed them and adhered on the topper. Next, I also adhered to a piece of cardstock the hearts border that comes in the same sheet and fussy cut just the hearts to decorate the banner. Cute!!!

Finally, I used another border to make the sentiment, and adhered Blossom baker's twine (pink and white) to the top of the banners so they appear to be "hanging" from the twine.  And there you have it! I hope this project inspires to give your SRM border stickers much more mileage. Oh, and anohter idea! This bag would be perfect to pack some stamped coloring sheets, and the new SRM clear stamps from Jane's Doodles are perfect for this! Just stamp a few sheets with different images and let them blank for the kids to color them :)

Just for You Kraft Box by Annette

Happy Day everyone..

I love giving gifts in cute little boxes.

By the way…this project was featured in the SRM booth at CHA!  YAY!

I am so excited to share that SRM Stickers now carries Jane's Doodles Stamps. 

On today's project I am playing with Jane's Doodles Little Miss Mia and the NEW Kraft boxes which I might add that I totally love. This kraft box measures 3x3x3.  I love the little texture that they have.  So elegant!

I also added SRM Stickers White Lace Doilies 4". I cut them in half and wrapped the kraft box from the bottom. I also used a Mama Elephant die to created the border and add Stickers By the Dozen (Birthday Birdie) to the bottom. Topping it off with a fun sentiment from  Sticker Sentiments (Happy Birthday) and some seam binding ribbon. It is the perfect gift for that someone special. 

So excited about all the new crafty goodies SRM Stickers has added to the SRM online store.

NEW! Jane's Doodles Stamps for SRM!

Welcome back to SRM's new product reveal for January 2015.  We are so excited to share all the new products with you this week.  On Friday we gave you a peek at some of the Jane's Doodles Stamps we are adding to our line.  Today we show you all 12 stamp designs.

And a fun project from Shannon Morgan using Jane's Doodles Stamps, SRM Stickers, SRM Vinyl, Twine and SRM Clear Containers.  It's a perfect project for when you need to thank some bunny! :) 

This darling bunny is from Jane's Doodles Springtime set.  

Shannon decorated her SRM triangle clear container with a strip of SRM Vinyl.  Shannon cut a 4"X 1.75" length of  Carnation Pink vinyl  and added a heart to the middle-ish of the vinyl.  She then adhered the vinyl to the triangle container and added some white Sticker Stitches to the top and bottom. 

Using Take 2: Stickers by the Dozen/Thank You, add a pink thank you to a piece of paper or other medium and trim around it (Shannon used cork). Match up your heart punch with another piece of vinyl and add the heart to the "thank you".  (Shannon used SRM's matte vinyl in Black.) 

She then glued some sequins to the sticker.

 Adding a cute stamp from Jane's Doodles (like the adorable bunny pictured here) is a perfect touch for a very sweet thank you!  Tie some awesome twine along the box and you've got a great {THANK YOU!}

Guest Designer Jane Beljo & Sneak Peeks

Happy 2015 and welcome to a special visit by a very special guest designer, Jane Beljo.  Jane was a member of the very first SRM Design Team in 2010 and I've loved her work ever since.  

So let's introduce you to Jane.  An artist, a mother, a wife and great at all of those jobs.  Jane lives in Croatia with her beautiful family and loves to doodle.  Her stamps, Jane's Doodles, are so much fun and now they are part of the SRM line. 

For those of you who don't know, Jane has created a line of stamps that are adorable and the BIG news is that SRM is now going to be distributing Jane's Doodle stamps.  We are very excited about teaming up together. 

Yes, you heard it right!  SRM is now going to carry stamps so you can find them in your local stores.  We are starting out with 12 of Jane's designs which include 4 new designs featured on today's blog.  This blog post is the first of 6 posts of sneak peeks of SRM's new CHA products!

From the very beginning, as a design team member Jane loved to partner stickers and stamps.  Here are a few of her stamped images that she's teamed with SRM sentiments.   

Love her sweet baby designs like Noah's Ark.  They go perfectly with SRM's Baby Sticker Sentiments.

And Jane's Boris Bunny design is perfect for Spring!

And here's a new design Jane just created using a new stamp called Little Miss Mia in honor or her daughter.  

 

Jane used SRM's black and white sentiments from SRM's We've Got Your Sticker on this darling tag attached to a SRM kraft pillow box. 

And for her final card, it's another new design called Seamus Sheep.  Don't you just love him?  What a hoot!  

Jane used both stamps and Love sticker sentiments on this card.
