Americana Decor by Shanna

Hello everyone!  July brings the pinnacle of and American summer in my house....Independence Day!  I have many fond memories watching glorious fireworks displays both when I was a child and more recently with my own children.  I love decorating around the holidays, so I decided to make a new addition to my summer decor with a fun vinyl sign utilizing SRM's vinyl!

I started with a wooden blank I picked up at my local craft store, it was a 12x12 square, so I enlarged the design I chose to fit those measurements and then went to cutting!  I love the extra bling the holographic vinyl added to the star!

4th of July Decor by Melanie

Yay! It is summertime here in the USA and our country's birthday is just around the corner. Melanie here today to share a project I made to add a festive touch to our house. I had a block of wood painted red left over from my daughter's graduation party. Since it was the perfect color for the 4th of July I decided to decorate it with SRM products :) 4th of July stickers galore are available from SRM. I added burlap, twine, and jute to give some texture to the project.

I began by wrapping different border stickers around the block. Then I added in shape and word stickers.

In the lower half of the block, I wrapped burlap around the block. Then I adhered the tag shape sticker on top and finished it off with some twine and jute.

I love the festive look this adds to our home as we prepare to celebrate our country.

Glow Stick Tubes by Samantha

Hello! Samantha here today to share a project that is perfect for the 4th of July and, as an added bonus it's easy and fast! In my book, it doesn't get much better than an easy project that your kids will love during the busy summer months.

We love taking glow sticks with us when we go out to watch the 4th of July fireworks. Decorating some SRM Magic Wand Tubes is a fun way to package the glow sticks and make sure they don't get cracked and activated ahead of time. 

The Magic Wand Tubes are big enough to hold about 5 glow sticks, which is enough to make a couple of bracelets and a necklace. To decorate the tubes I used a mix of SRM's 4th of July themed stickers from Say It With Stickers 4th of July, Express Yourself 4th of July, and Stickers By the Dozen Patriotic. 

Just fill your tube with glow sticks, decorate with stickers, and you've got a fast and fun 4th of July treat!

Patriotic Layouts Parade

Leading up to the 4th of July I'm sharing with you some patriotic projects from design team members from the past and present.  Today it's all about layouts! 

This beauty is from Juliana Michaels from our current team.  Love all the SRM clear stickers that she's used on this lovely layout.

And finally, Cathy Harper from our current team celebrates the 4th of July with Red, White, Blue and Turquoise! How fun! I spy lots of SRM clear stickers on this one too. 

As you can see from these layouts, SRM's clear stickers make layouts easy to add titles and subtitles.  Just peel and stick!

Patriotic Parade Day #1

The 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays.  I live in a town that has a fun run, parade and spectacular fireworks so it's truly an all day celebration.  

Today I'm sharing with you some of my all time favorite 4th of July projects from our design team members past and present.  Sit back, relax, enjoy!

Hi all, Shannon here, July 4th is coming up!

This holiday is so much to our family. It's my sweet girl Mackenzie's favorite holiday. She loves fireworks. Karl loves watching her happy face light up and listening to her laughter. Patrick loves all of the "foods" he can eat in celebratory amounts of glee...though Patrick just loves food in general right now, he's 13.  

I love stars and red, white and blue and all the day symbolizes. 

I created a 5X7 frame for my mantle celebrating the USA. I used a ton of SRM goodness. There is A LOT of SRM goodness to choose from!

Here is the frame, it's actually a "shadow box" type frame, which works perfect for someone like me who layers "all the things"…☺

If you take a closer look at the details, you'll see twine, labels, sticker stitches, borders, tiny borders, patterned vinyl and even sequins.

Hooray USA! by Cathy H.

The SRM Blog usually doesn't have Saturday posts but on this long weekend we thought you would enjoy some 4th of July layout inspiration from Cathy Harper.  She loves making layouts and loves using SRM Stickers mounted on vellum or right down on her patterned papers!  SRM Stickers truly melt right down onto any surface that you are working on.  Click on these photos to see all the fun details! 

Cathy's layout is of her adorable little 4th of July pup.  She has the most patient bulldog ever who puts up with all of of Cathy's photo taking props. 

 SRM had all of the perfect stickers to add some great layers to her layout.  Cathy used We've Got Your Border/Patriotic for some added pops of color along the top of the page and bottom of her layout and then she used them again on two sides of her photo.  Cathy created to little vellum pennants using the Stickers By The Dozen/Patriotic and the We've Got Your Border stickers.  

She finished with a couple of flags from Stickers By The Dozen, Small White Punched Pieces and some Maraschino Twine!  Love this photo of her bulldog Stella and all the little details that SRM Stickers added!  And love the use of vellum with SRM clear stickers.

Easy as Pie by Shantie

Welcome back to the SRM Design Team Shantaie Fowler!  Shantaie is one of 2 "emeritus" members of our new team which means that she was on an earlier team, loves her SRM so much and applied again.  Can't get enough of her talent!

Shantaie loves little gifts for every occasion, and what could be sweeter or more American than pie? This blueberry pie gift box is all decked out for the 4th of July! 

 She started by cutting a blue pie box with the Silhouette and started dressing it up with embossed kraft paper crust and a wavy We've Got Your Border sticker. Shantaie loves using a border sticker on a project like this because it's so much more manageable and much quicker than ribbon would be! (we all love quick right?)

Shantaie has this serious love for stickpins, and especially creating her own! Here she cut little berry shapes and coated them with glossy accents and sandwiched a flat quilting pin between them.  She did the same with the Say It with Stickers star by adhering the star to card stock and trimming it. Ta da custom stickpin!

Top off your pie with a dollop of glittery pleated lollipops, Punched Pieces, and a glitter rimmed Express Yourself sticker! Now time to fill it with a little treat and share with someone special!

Patriotic Pillow Box by Shelly

Shelly Kurth can't get enough of the new Kraft Pillow Boxes from SRM!  She has created for us today a Patriotic box that could be used as a gift box or as a party favor for a 4th of July party!  And if you look closely, you can see that Shelley embossed her Kraft Pillow Box using a woodgrain embossing folder.  Yes, you can emboss these krafty boxes!  How fun! 

Shelly is loving the new Punched Pieces from SRM!  She used several colors (red and white) and all 3 sizes to mount her clear Patriotic SRM Stickers and then layered them and popped them up for extra dimension.  Punched Pieces come in 10 different colors and 3 different sizes.

Shelly added some Maraschino Red Twinery Twine and one of SRM's definition stickers to her pillow box and she's done! 

Super fun!  Super fast! And super cute!

You can use Shelly's idea for 4th of July or any holiday or occasion using Kraft Pillow Boxes, Punched Pieces, Twine and any SRM Sticker theme!  Thanks for the inspiration Shelly.  Your project is fab!

Love how so many of our design team members are using our new Punched Pieces.  It just makes their crafting so much easier.  No fuss, no muss, no tools.  Easy peasy!

Celebrate Independence Layout by Juliana

Juliana Michaels creates the most wonderful layouts and she really enjoyed creating this 4th of July scrapbook page using SRM Stickers for her title and accent pieces. 

Juliana placed some SRM clear stickers on patterned paper and used one of them as her "CELEBRATE" title.  

She also placed some on white cardstock to use as accent pieces.  

Juliana then add Twinery Twine and a mini clothespin to further embellish the tag.

4th of July Parade of Projects!

Today we celebrate the 4th of July on the SRM Blog as we share a parade of patriotic  projects from 6 of our new Design Team members.  Oh I love a parade so I joined in too!  Let's get started!   

Laurel Seabrook leads off our parade.  Her trio of patriotic cards are so fun, festive and inspiring!  Looking at her cards, you can almost hear the band playing! :)  Laurel uses SRM's patriotic Say it with Stickers and Express Yourself.  She created this trio of cards in no time flat, thanks to the ease of SRM Stickers. 

Here comes Juliana Michaels, with a trio of patriotic TUBES.  She created them using SRM's patriotic Stickers by the Dozen and patriotic Borders.  What perfect party favors for a celebration of the 4th!  I love how the borders dress up the tubes from top to bottom.

I could not resist joining in on the parade!  I created these fun and fast cards great for any patriotic celebration using SRM's Stickers by the Dozen, Borders and Sticker Stitches.  And don't forget the twine!  Super simple to make!  With Stickers by the Dozen you can make 12 of these cards with just one sticker.  Perfect for invites.  

Looks who just marched in!  It's Michelle Giraud with a pair of patriotic projects that are simply fabulous.  

First up is a card and matching mini TUBE.  Michelle used SRM's Say it with Sticker Patriotic on the card along with some twine.  And for her mini TUBE she used scraps from the card and some patriotic borders.  FUN!  She made this little container for her nephew and filled it with Mike & Ike candies. 

Michelle also altered a little notepad with papers and stickers and added some SRM patriotic pencils to match. Hooray USA!

Latrice Murphy could not resist using SRM's delicious 4th of July stickers.  She used her Silhouette with the print and cut setting for these quick cards.  Love the bling!  Latrice is having a BLAST with SRM's Quick Card July 4th and lots of SRM's Patriotic borders!  Fab-u-lous!

New design team member Corri Garza is celebrating the 4th with a fun pair of projects using SRM's 4th of July Quick Card, Patriotic Borders and a skinny TUBE.  The pinwheel is a perfect topper to the TUBE.  How fun!  

And we finish up with a bang with a fun and fabulous card from new design team member Shelly Kurth who used SRM's Patriotic Borders.  Love the fireworks effect of that bling!
