Back to School Apples by Shelly

Hey y'all! Shelly, here!

Today I'm sharing a quick and easy back to school card with you!

You know me, I stuck with a clean and simple design. ;) I used SRM's Healthy Plans and BIG Amen clear stamps for my apples and border underneath the apples. After, I added some color to my apples by using the fine point tip of a red marker. Which I decided to do some 'sketchy lines' rather than coloring them fully in. Once finished, I added some natural twine and 'learn' to my upper corner of my card. Quick and easy, yeah?!...

Anniversary Card by Shelly

Welcome for more fun in introducing our new design team members and sharing some of their craftiness.  Today we welcome Shelly Kurth who was on the SRM Design Team a few years ago.  I've always been a fan of and inspired by Shelly's clean and simple style and am so excited to have her on the team once again.

Here is a bit about Shelly in her own words:

Hi! Greetings from sunny Florida! I'm a mother to my four beautiful yet silly kids, as well as a wife to my husband. I started scrapbooking way back in 2003 or 2004...it was a long time ago. ;)  Shortly after I started scrapbooking, I realized that my true passion was in making cards. From that point on I've been hooked! I also love to make sweet little gifts, too! My style is typically clean and simple. However, sometimes I will mix things up a bit and try something new and different. I'm beyond excited to be joining the SRM Design Team and I hope y'all enjoy everything that I share with you! Thank you for having me! :)

Hey y'all! Shelly, here!
Today I'm swinging on in to share an anniversary card with you.

When I was thinking of how to use SRM's calendar stickers, I thought of memorable dates. I had two that stood out most to me, which was my wedding anniversary and my home anniversary. I decided to go with my wedding anniversary.

I started with choosing my patterned papers. I tried my best to stick with more of masculine papers. ;) Once having my papers chosen, I then started piecing things together, though not adhering anything yet. After looking at things, I thought my card needed a little more 'pop' to it, so I added a strip of black cardstock. I also I added a little bit of twine and mini staple to my '2017' banner. After, I placed things on my card. Though before adhering anything, I added a flower sticker on my card base, just to peek out from under the calendar sticker on top. To finish things off, I added a little glitter gold enamel heart to our 'date'.  I'd love to hear what you think?!...Perhaps, I've inspired you to get an early start on your anniversary card, too?! :)

Congrats Smarty by Shantaie

Graduation is around the corner!  Before you know it final exams and choosing senior pictures will be all anyone with a graduating student at home can talk about! Trust me I have been down the cap and gown road twice!

Shantaie here today to share a fun graduation party favor.

Along with graduation comes parties, gifts, and celebrations! (claps hands) Yay! I do love favors, and when they are quick, cost effective and clever....well they go straight to the head of the class!  Here I have filled the clear treat bag with smarties not only a super cute pun but it only takes 3 rolls to fill one bag! (Very cost effective!)

Topping the bags is a layered scalloped circle made from black medium punched pieces and a gold circle, a purple circle and adorable graduation cap stickers from stickers by the dozen graduation and tied on a tag with natural twine using a sentiment I printed, I also added the borders from the stickers by the dozen graduation along the bag.

Don't wait too long to get started.  Graduation is such a big accomplishment! Celebrate it and show your student how very proud you are! Most of all have fun!

Thanks a Latte by Lesley

I don't know about you but I love cute little stamps and designer paper with diagonals! I am in love with Jane's Doodles new Coffee Themed Stamp Set called Coffee Time! Oh boy is it fun to colour! So I stamped the little cup and masked it to create a "latte" focal point and coloured the cups with my Copic markers.

The sentiments in the set are just perfect for a thank you gift and this one is going to a wonderful colleague of mine! I added some pencils to the gift and some other small goodies will fit in the medium sized kraft bags. I stamped the sentiment right onto the kraft bag with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I added some charcoal twine to the bottom of my card!

I hope you feel inspired to create a little gift set for a coworker or a friend. February is a month of love and kindness! Spread a little joy!

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Mini Valentine Cards by Amy

Hello everyone!!  This is Amy here to share some quick mini Valentine's cards with you today.

I think that my favorite type of card to make is Valentine's cards.  I love finding fun new ways of telling the people in my life that I love them.  I like these mini ones because they are only about 3 1/2 inches by 3 1/2 inches and I can easily slip them into lunch sacks or school binders for my kiddos or hubby to find.

I say that these are quick because I was able to whip up all four of these cards in less than an hour.  I cut the bases at 3 1/2 x 7 inches and folded them in half.  I sewed the edges and then mounted the striped paper to the base.

I then cut a silver lace doily in quarters and then adhered them in the lower left corner.  I added the sentiment and circle heart from the Stickers by the Dozen - Valentine on some white cardstock and then adhered them with foam adhesive to the card.  I then finished it off with some Solid Pink Sorbet bakers twine.

I hope that you have a lovely Valentine's Day with the ones that you love!!

Hugs,

Amy

Today I am making my own wrapping paper.

I am playing with: SRM Stickers

The paper I used is from Ikea. It is a roll of paper for kids to doodle on. First I did all the stamping. It inked up perfectly. Bonus it is super cheap.

Next I cut out each and every little candy sticker from Stickers By the Dozen Take 2 Christmas.  I just love these little candy images.

I wanted to add just a little more with this fun sentiment from Stickers By the Dozen Christmas.

Now we are getting somewhere.
Well I think that just about does it.

Now it is time to wrap this cute SRM Stickers Kraft Box 3x3x3.

This paper wrapped perfectly around and now time to add a fun pom pom using The Twinery: Solid Peapod Twine. I looked up on Pinterest to see how to create this fun pom pom and I have to say it was so easy to make.  Got to love Pinterest for tips on how to make stuff.

I thought it needed just a little more so I added this adorable Santa from Jane's Doodles: Tis The Season! and I colored him green.. why not right? I kind of had a green theme going on here so I went with it. Now it is time for you to give this a try.

Make sure and share with us on SRM Stickers Flickr page HERE.

Thanks for stopping by.
Happy Holiday Crafting.

Celebrate Autumn by Amy

The cool crisp air and the changing of the leaves ring in my favorite time of year....Autumn!  This is Amy here today and I always look forward to this time of year and I think that the projects I make this time of the year are some of my favorite.  I just love the colors that are all around and love to put them into my projects.

Here is a card that I made to celebrate autumn…..

SRM Stickers Blog - Celebrate Autumn by Amy - #card #autumn #fall #stickers #stitches #sentiments #solidtwine

I used my Silhouette machine and THIS file to cut out the leaves.  I embossed the top of the card with an embossing folder in my Cuttlebug and then added a cream colored panel to the front.  I put some of the Sticker Stitches at the top and bottom of the panel and then adhered the die cut leaves.  I added a sentiment from the Fall Sticker Sentiments and then finished it off with a bit of Solid Marigold bakers twine.

Here is a closer look.......

So, do you have a favorite time of year?  What is your favorite thing about it?  I hope that you can be inspired to create with your favorite season.

Have a great day!

Halloween Treats by Lesley

Hello! Lesley here! Halloween is on its way and it is exciting to make some fun treats for family or friends!!!  I LOVE working with Halloween stickers and decided to put together four different projects!

SRM Stickers Blog - Halloween Treats by Lesley - #halloween #stickers #clearcontainers #purse #tag #twine #fall #DIY

I used the Stickers By The Dozen/Trick-or-Treat on the Small Purse Container! Love those spiders! And I used We've Got Your Sticker/Treats for the Boo! sentiment! I love that it is white and looks like chalkboard/white embossed! SO easy!

SRM Stickers Blog - Halloween Treats by Lesley - #halloween #stickers #clearcontainers #purse #tag #twine #fall #DIY

I also used the stickers on my little bookmark below! I paired it with some Solid Mandarin Twine.

Then I made my own treat box using the same stickers. To make one of these boxes, called a "Sour Cream Container" find the directions HERE.

Leaf Gift Card Set by Lesley

Fall is coming and with it the warm, comforting colours and textures I love! Hello crafty friends!  Lesley here! Today I am sharing a gift box that I decorated with a canvas tag and some lace!

SRM Stickers Blog - Leaf Gift Card Set by Lesley - #cardset #cards #autumn #janesdoodles #autumnblessings #lace #twine #giftset #A2box

I wanted to so some more water colouring. I decided to use the small leaf stamp and sentiment from the Jane's Doodles Autumn Blessings stamp set.

As you can see, I used some lace to adorn my simple 4.25" square cards. The lace is called Lace/2” X 25 Yds. - Ecru

SRM Stickers Blog - Leaf Gift Card Set by Lesley - #cardset #cards #autumn #janesdoodles #autumnblessings #lace #twine #giftset #A2box

I cut off a piece to fit the width of my card and then taped it down.
A bit of Twine on each card was used to tie them all together.

SRM Stickers Blog - Leaf Gift Card Set by Lesley - #cardset #cards #autumn #janesdoodles #autumnblessings #lace #twine #giftset #A2box

I love the way this set of cards turned out.

The lace is a beautiful added touch, don't you think?

The canvas tag was easy to use with some Tombow glue.  I see myself using lots more of these!  You can stamp right on them too!

I love to create gift sets for family and friends...and this stamp set has my brain whirling with Thanksgiving Dinner table setting ideas! I need to play with it some more!

I kept the design simple and pretty! I absolutely love the new lace! I placed all the cards into a clear A2 Card Box, I hope you enjoyed reading about my project today! Happy crafting and thank you so much for stopping by!

SRM Stickers Blog - Watercolor Santa by Tenia - #card #watercolor #stickerstitches #janesdoodles #tistheseason #twine #stickerstitches

This was a super fun card to make! I had some fun with the Jane's Doodles Tis' the Season stamp set, SRM Sticker Stitches-Christmas (LOVE me some Sticker Stitches.....it's my trademark....lol) and The Twinery Solid/Natural twine. You can get all of this wonderful goodness over at the SRM store HERE!

SRM Stickers Blog - Watercolor Santa by Tenia - #card #watercolor #stickerstitches #janesdoodles #tistheseason #twine #stickerstitches

This card is pretty CAS with some punch. First I created this card from a burgundy cardstock. Next I added some washi tape and sticker stitches to the card. After that step I cut out patterned paper using the rectangle die and Big Shot and adhered to the card using foam adhesive. Then I stamped and heat embossed Mr. Santa onto Strathmore watercolor paper and watercolored with my Spectrum Aqua marker and paintbrush. I adhered the image panel onto the card using foam adhesive. I stamped and embossed the sentiment and cut out with a circle punch. Lastly I adhered the sentiment panel onto card and added some twine from The Twinery!!

Thanks for stopping by and have an amazing day!!
