Vinyl Valentine by Tobi

Hi there! Tobi here today sharing a valentine idea using one of SRM's most versatile products: vinyl! It's not just great for home decor, it's fabulous for cardmaking too! 

Once you cut out the shapes you want, think of the vinyl as a read-to-go sticker! Transfer tape (the red grid) makes it easy to transfer your design to your project without worry!

I chose to mount my vinyl to vellum to create a quasi-window card. You have to rub the vinyl into the paper and carefully lift the transfer tape to reveal the design!

And here's a look at the card with a little light streaming through the vellum... Pretty, right?

Hello!  Shantaie here today working with glitter vinyl.  And have I got a DIY project for you!  Be sure to click on images to enlarge and see more detail.

I am gasp out loud, "I have to have it", OMG in love with all the gorgeous gold home accessories in the shops. I love the elegant beautiful items as much as all those cheeky silly sayings we are seeing everywhere.

 I have this "thing" for hand towels. I mean I have a real thing!! I love them to be fun, and pretty. I like to match my decor .....or my parties, or just because. Flour sack towels are so soft and easy to personalize, and are really budget friendly, they are my favorite!

I used a simple open design to cut my sparkly gold heat transfer vinyl, and ironed it onto my prewashed towel. Don't worry if you think the vinyl will be rough, it's not, and will wash beautifully! 

Heat transfer vinyl is seriously easy to use, just follow the instructions ( don't forget to flip the design) and you can transform or personalize almost anything!!!

Michele here with a shaped card to share with you today! After being mojo-less for several weeks, I feel like it is starting to come back.  (Thank goodness!) I love shaped cards and this blender is such a cute cut!  I added loads of glitter, some die cut flowers, and silk ribbon tied with twine. 

The sentiment is from the We've Got Your Sticker-Sweet collection.  The sticker was adhered to a piece of vellum to remain somewhat translucent.

Merry Christmas! by Michele

Good morning! MICHELE here with a fun Christmas tree shaped card! 

I love deviating from a standard card once in awhile. ;)

I added texture paste and glitter for my snow and rhinestones for ornaments. 

I added a felt and glittered Poinsettia topped with fuzzy white pom poms. And for my finishing touch, I added an SRM sentiment from the We've Got Your Border, Christmas collection.  It was adhered to a piece of vellum and cut into a banner shape. It was tucked under the flower and glued into place.

Let it Snow! by Michele

Good morning my crafty friends! 

 MICHELE here with a water colored snowman card. I used the adorable Jane's Doodles set called, WARM WISHES.  It was stamped with Versamark and embossed in white.  I used my Zig Clean Brush Markers.  I wanted a bit of dimension, so I added liquid applique to the snowman's hat and on the ground.  As soon as I heat it with the heat gun, I sprinkled glitter over it. 

I matted the image with several layers of card stock.  The last panel was given a coat of glossy accents and sprinkled with glitter.  

(One can never have enough glitter! ;)

Think Pink Gift Box by Michelle

Using SRM's A2 Clear Card Box, Pink Fizz Glitter Vinyl and a Thrive Quick Card, Michelle Giraud created this bright and beautiful little gift box that's sure to be a pick-me-up for someone special.  

Michelle cut the SRM Vinyl with a Spellbinders die.  She ran it through several times to make sure it got a nice cut all the way through and it worked perfectly.  Michelle was so pleased with the results. 

The sticker Michelle used to embellish her box is a Thrive Quick Card.   To matte her stickers, Michelle used white, pink and bright pink cardstock.  

The gift is folded in pink tissue paper inside the box.  For the finishing touch, Michelle added a lovely bright pink bow.  

What a thoughtful gift and a beautiful project.  Thanks Michelle for the inspiration.  Those Quick Cards certainly do come in handy with 3 pieces used together to create a project in no time flat!  Want to see all the Quick Card designs?  Check them out HERE!
