CAS Card Set by Melanie

Hello! Melanie here today to share a Clean-and-Simple (CAS) card set that I put together.

For this project, I challenged myself to using: 10 sheets of cardstock, 2 sheets of SRM stickers, and a variety of die-cuts and ribbon in my stash bowl.

Knowing that the majority of these cards would be used for mailing purposes, I kept them (mostly) flat. To add texture, I using embossing templates with my die cutting machine.

I kept the designs fairly similar to keep the process streamlined. The first step was to cut the mats and layering pieces for each card. Then I ran the top layering pieces through the embossing. Next, I matched up the stickers, die-cuts, and ribbons. After adhering the pieces together for each card, I snapped this photo to show the simple and similar designs:

Then I adhered the card faces to the card bases and am so thrilled to have 20 cards ready to go! Here are a few of them close up:

My mom has a birthday this month. She loves getting handmade cards as a gift (she writes several letters and notes each month). I tucked a set of cards into one of the SRM white glassine bags, along with envelopes, stamps, and a writing pen. Then I decorated the bag a bit for fun.

Working this way was a good process for me. I could work in steps and bits of time here or there. Clean and Simple works really well for me :) Enjoy your day!

CAS Love Card by Melanie

Hey there! Melanie here today and I have a clean and simple card to share with you today. With Valentines Day right around the corner, LOVE is in the air :)

SRM stickers come in THE best fonts and have such a variety. I love to combine them together to get the message across! Since they have a clear backing, layering them is such an easy thing to do. I used some phrases from the Love/Sticker Sentiments sheet.  It's never been a secret that I love Sticker Stitches as well ;) I used a stitch from the Black sheet to connect my patterned papers. Then to add some texture I glued a length of black jute twine  on top of the sticker stitch.
Thanks for stopping by! Have a "Love"ly day!

Merry Christmas by Shelly

Hey y'all! Shelly, here!
Well, we all know how fast time keeps going by, right?! ;) With that being said, there's nothing like gearing up for Christmas and starting to make your Christmas cards! (or in my case, 'a' card meaning just one card. lol)

Keeping with my CAS style, I started with adding a little strip of patterned paper to the left side of my card. After, I did some quick and easy die cutting for my fancy holly leaves using gold glitter paper. I then used tiny pieces of foam tape on the back and added it to my card.

Once done, I added my sentiment on a piece of wood patterned paper, along with a strip of white lace underneath it. After I placed it on my card. And to finish things off, I added a few sequins.

So what do you think?!...I'd love to know! :)

CAS Easter Card by Shelly

Shelly Kurth's Clean & Simple (CAS) style is perfect for a lovely Easter card.  Shelly has been seeing lots of vellum being used in crafting and she wanted to give it a try.  Vellem is perfect for SRM's clear Easter Express Yourself stickers.

Shelly stamped the green grass onto her card and let it dry.  Then she added the SRM Easter egg on top of the grass.  She then took a piece of vellum, adhered stickers onto it and then took a needle and some thread and stitched the vellum into the card.  She used a bit of adhesive on the other end to hold down the vellum.  How fun!

Shelly just used a few of the stickers on this Express Yourself Easter sheet from SRM.  Just think of all the other projects you could make!

Ready for Easter? There's still time to create some of the fun and fabulous crafts featured on this week's blog.

Holiday Cards by Latrice

The holidays are coming fast so Latrice Murphy says "let's get to some card making!".  Latrice loves creating fast cards and there's nothing better than SRM stickers for that. She used a fun stamp and die set to create a lovely trio of cards. Check them out below to see more details. Latrice used the same design on all 3 cards but changed up the sentiments using SRM's Happy Holidays Sticker Sentiments sheet, Fancy Christmas Sentiments sheet, Stickers by the Dozen Gingerbread and We've Got Your Sticker.

Latrice used 3D adhesive squares to raise her gold snowflake up and for the sentiment banner she used a couple of staples to hold it in place. Latrice embossed her paper and also added sine gemstones to create the effect of snow.

Latrice had a lot of fun creating her cards and with her left over stickers, she can create a lot more!  Have you started to create your crafty Christmas cards?  No time like the present!  And be sure to get some SRM Christmas sentiment sheets to make the job fast and easy.

Quick Christmas Cards by Lesley

Lesley Croghan wanted to make a gift for a hostess to have on hand for the holidays. She thought a set of 4 cards put into a decorated glassine bag might work!  And it does!  What a perfect hostess gift!

To create her 4 cards, Lesley used some simple white paper and cut it to be 4.25" x 8.50" and then scored and folded it in half. Then she used some patterned paper to create the "bases" for my SRM images and sentiments.  Lesley created 2 each of the following designs using SRM's Quick Cards Merry and Believe.

Using a simple formula, Lesley created 4 cards in no time flat!  She added some Charcoal Baker's Twine for the perfect finishing touch!

She also embossed her 4 3/4" x 6 3/4" Glassine Bag with a wonderful snowflake embossing folder.

Border Birthday Card by Shelly

Shelly Kurth creates cards with a minimalist look and feel and I love them!  Here's a great idea for a quick and easy birthday card that is really hip and happening.  Shelly uses SRM's Birthday Borders and cuts them up to use them like Washi Tape.

She then adds a few simple embellishments:  a Flair piece from Bossy Joscie and a bit of bling.

There are 14 different 9" strips for you to use on one sheet of the Birthday Borders.  And so many wonderful possible combinations!

Just think of all the cards you can create! I'm thinking at least 28!  1 sticker = 28 cards.  What a great idea!
