Celebrating Autism with SRM Vinyl by Shanna

Celebrating Autism with SRM Vinyl

Hello SRM friends!  Shanna here today with a project that is very near and dear to my heart!

April is Autism Awareness Month, a month that celebrates anyone on the ASD spectrum :)  ASD stands for Autism Spectrum Disorder, and spreads across a HUGE range of differences in the autistic community.  This is so special to me because my youngest child is on the spectrum. I wanted to celebrate him this month especially so I designed a t-shirt for him to wear!  I had trouble deciding on a single design, so I ended up combining two separate design files from the Silhouette Store to make my own design come to life.

SRM carries Siser EasyWeed HTV and it made the project turn out better than I had ever envisioned and as you might be able to tell....my little guy loved it as well!

Materials used:
Siser EasyWeed:
~Mettalic Blue
~Mettalic Red
~White
Silhouette Store Design files 187441 and 9200 (edited)
Silhouette Cameo

I hope you all enjoyed my project today....Until next time!

Fat & Fabulous T- Shirt by Tobi

Hello there! It's Tobi here, and I'm sharing my first heat-transfer vinyl project with you today.
Yes, my first project... That's how easy it is! I can see how this craft is addicting (all of the tutorials I've watched say it) and now I'm looking around my house to see what else I can embellish.

For today, I purchased:
1) a plain black t-shirt
2) an iron (because yah... I didn't have one, haha)
3) heat-transfer vinyl in pink and silver glitter

The final product was the result of a happy accident - the "Fabulous" was originally pink, but the cut didn't cut properly, so I decided to cut it out of silver. I think it worked out perfectly!

And here's me in my brand new shirt, wearing it loud and proud!!!

Thanks for taking a look, and trust me, try heat-transfer vinyl!!
So fun, so easy, and it looks amazing!

Textile Foil Tank Top by Samantha

Hello! Samantha here today, and I'm so excited to be sharing my latest obsession with you: DIY t-shirts. SRM released a lot of new heat transfer material (including foil and glitter) last month and I am having so much fun creating with it. Today I have this textile foil tank top to share.

If you have a digital die cutting machine (like a Cricut or a Silhouette Cameo) the possibilities are endless! Since I coach my son's baseball team, I went with RV (the abbreviation our city) and Baseball, but Baseball Mom would be really cute, too!

The textile foil is a 2 step process. First, you heat apply your image to your shirt with Easy Weed Adhesive, which gives you a clear glue print of your image on your shirt. Second, you heat apply your Textile Foil in one of 18 colors over your adhesive image.

Textile foil not only gives your image a cool metallic shine, but also a flecked vintage look. I can't wait to rock this shirt come baseball season!
What sport do you need a custom shirt for?
