Tutorial: Popcorn Seasoning Set by Michelle

Michelle Giraud was inspired by a post on Pinterest showing a set of seasoning salts for popcorn in glass jars and plastic bags and she thought that the SRM Mini Tubes, Glassine Bags and Cooking themed stickers would be just perfect for her project.  And she was right!




Michelle felt the tubes needed something to hold them together as a set, so she made a top and bottom "box" to set them in.  To make the box you'll need 2 pieces of cardstock 5.25"x3".  Score each side @ 1", cut lines as shown in diagram (not to scale) then glue/tape the box together folding the excess flaps to the inside. Completed box will measure 3.25" x 1".  She decorated both the top and bottom with scalloped trim and stickers from Freestyle Cookin' which were adhered to black cardstock then trimmed.

Michelle used mini tubes to store her seasonings and embellished the little box she created with SRM Cooking Stickers.  Perfect!

Michelle made 3 salt mixes; spicy Mexican, savory garlic & pepper, and sweet cinnamon & sugar.  Each tube holds 1/4 cup of seasoning.  Here are her recipes:

Spicy Mexican Salt
1/4 cup salt
1/4 teaspoon chili powder
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/4 teaspoon cumin

Savory Garlic Pepper
1/4 cup salt
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon ground pepper

Sweet Cinnamon Sugar
1/8 cup salt
1/8 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon 

Michelle mixed each salt and used a small funnel to pour into the tubes.  The Express Yourself Recipe stickers have the perfect square stickers to label the tubes spicy, savory and sweet.

Michelle measured out 1/2 cup servings of popcorn and put them in decorated SRM Glassine bags.  She used stickers from Freestyle Cookin' and red stitches to decorate.   

Michelle finished off the set in a yellow cardstock popcorn box which was made from a template from greensneakers.com  What a great resource Green Sneakers is.  So many templates!

Christmas Label Lovlies by Shelly

I love the clean and simple style of Shelly Kurth.  When asked to use SRM's Labels by the Dozen in a new and different way, Shelly went to work to create this wonderful Christmas card and Tube set.  Lovely, layered labels are so much fun!

Shelly adhered a glitter leaf onto her card and then adhered a label mounted to white cardstock onto the leaf.  She then placed foam squares onto the back of the other two labels and adhered them to the bottom label.  Add some Red and Green twine and rhinestones.  

For the Tube, Shelly adhered a glitter leaf to the tube, mounted a label onto white card stock and trimmed.  She then adhered the label to the tube, added twine and rhinestones and popped in some bright green and red candy canes.  What a treat!

Here are the Labels by the Dozen that Shelly used on her project.  They are great for cards, tags, scrapbook pages for journaling, gift wrap and more!

Thank You Coach Card by Michelle

Michelle Giraud's daughter's Cross Country season is over and she wanted to make a special thank you card for her daughter's coach.  Using SRM's Cross Country Say it with Stickers Mini, she created this beautiful card. 

Michelle simply adhered the main sticker at the top.  

Then she adhered the definition at the bottom which left the middle to fill in with a picture and a little decoration. 

 She used the same designer paper to cover the envelope and used the quote sticker on the front of that.  

I'm sure the coach will treasure this card.  On the inside, Michelle typed up a list of milestones for the past seasons including races and times, date os sectional championshiped they had won and some funny anecdotes about the coach.  What a keepsake a card can be!

Labels Layout by Juliana

Juliana Michaels shares with us today a bright and beautiful layout featuring SRM's Bright Labels by the Dozen.  



Juliana used her Cuttlebug to emboss the Bright Blank Labels before she added them to her layout.  Just run the entire sheet through your embosser before using to give them lots of texture.  How fun!

Juliana also used one of the Labels for her journaling box.  Perfection!

Mini Birthday Cards by Laurel

Laurel Seabrook likes to give little packages of handmade cards as gifts.  Everyone can always use little birthday cards so she pulled out some birthday themed paper and stickers and went to work.  Of course for Laurel, there always is some stitching and twine as a final addition.

Here's the set of cards she made.

What a pretty pair! Love the delicious colors.  Those SRM Stickers by the Dozen Birthday are just perfect and the twine gives it just the right finishing touch.

Laurel also used some SRM Labels by the Dozen on her set of cards.

And when she completed her cards she popped them into a SRM Glassine bag along with some envelopes.  She ties the package up with twine and added a Label sticker.   What a great gift idea and something that everyone can use!

Holiday Cards by Latrice

The holidays are coming fast so Latrice Murphy says "let's get to some card making!".  Latrice loves creating fast cards and there's nothing better than SRM stickers for that. She used a fun stamp and die set to create a lovely trio of cards. Check them out below to see more details. Latrice used the same design on all 3 cards but changed up the sentiments using SRM's Happy Holidays Sticker Sentiments sheet, Fancy Christmas Sentiments sheet, Stickers by the Dozen Gingerbread and We've Got Your Sticker.  

Latrice used 3D adhesive squares to raise her gold snowflake up and for the sentiment banner she used a couple of staples to hold it in place. Latrice embossed her paper and also added sine gemstones to create the effect of snow.

Christmas Mini Cards by Angi

It's always great to have a bunch of mini cards on hand for those last minute gifts for family and friends and today Angi Barrs gives us lots of mini card inspiration!  

Angi says "Who needs a store bought card when you can make your own mini cards? I made these in less than 10 minutes using some leftover double sided patterned paper".  

Using her die cutter to make the circle shapes, Angi then added some fun SRM Stickers from the We've Got Your Sticker MERRY sheet.  They are so fun and festive and look great as the focal point of your mini cards.

The Santa face, Christmas tree, and stocking are Angi's fave images from the Christmas sets.  And she loves to add some of SRM's Labels by the Dozen too!

Stamping and Stickers Love Cards by Lesley

Lesley Croghan makes the most beautiful cards.  She loves stamping and she loves stickers, so for this trio of Love/Wedding cards Lesley used SRM's Fancy Love Sticker Sentiments along with a butterfly stamp and punch.  

Lesley loves the large sentiments.  She can never find sentiments big enough. 

 But on the SRM Fancy Sticker Sentiment Sheet, she found 3 or 4 large sentiment options!  And the beautiful Stone Twine on her 3 cards is simply perfection!

Doily Layout by Yvonne

 Happy Thanksgiving to our friends and fans in the US.  In this wonderful season of gratitude we at the SRM family are grateful for so many things, especially for our friends and fans and our fabulous design team. This post will be for today and tomorrow.  We will see you again on Friday.

Yvonne Yam is grateful for her family and she loves to create fun layouts in celebration of every occasion.  Here's a fun and fabulous layout for her nephew's birthday.  I love the party hat on the birthday boy's head!

Yvonne was very excited to find that the images from SRM's We've Got Your Stickers and the circles from SRM's Labels by the Dozen fit perfectly into the doily patterned paper from Echo Park.  How fun!

Stamps & Stickers by Shelly

Shelly Kurth likes to keep her cardmaking simple yet sensational!  She loves stamps and stickers and often combines them in her projects.  Even during the busy holiday time, everyone needs the create birthday cards so here's some inspiration for you from Shelly!

For her first card Shelly stamped a crown slightly off the card and added some zig zag stamping slightly under the crown.  She then added her stickers to the card.  Shelly mounted her frog sticker from SRM's Princess We've Got Your Sticker to a piece of white card stock.  She carefully trimmed around it and added a foam sticker and pin on the back of the frog.  Now she created a collage on her card over the stamped crown starting with sentiments from SRM's We've Got Your Sticker Happy and Birthday Sticker Sentiment.  She then added the frog, wood veneer heart, rhinestone and some enamel dots.  

Love the simplicity of this design with a collage of embellishments.

For her second card, Shelly did a little masking with her trees and bush.  She then added a sticker from SRM's Thank You Borders under the bush and topped it off with some enamel dots. There's a simplicity to this card that I absolutely love.
