Tame your buttons! Rae Barthel used to store her buttons in a large mason jar, but decided to sort them by color and use SRM Tubes to store them. Rae had an idea to create a base or holder for the tubes, using a recycled cardboard box;

Flatten cardboard and trim off the flaps.

Cover both sides with coordinating patterned paper.

Punch 1 1/4" holes in the top flap and seal the flap closed.

Sort buttons by color and place each in a tube. Tie a coordinating ribbon to the tube lid and adhere a coordinating button to the top of each tube lid.

What a pretty and useful way to store buttons! Have a wonderful weekend, we're back all next week with more!

This is a great idea!
I love this! It looks so much easier to flatten the box to cover it, why didn't I think of that??? Thanks for the tips.
