2014 Instagram Calendar by Michelle

Michelle Giraud has created an 8 x 8 calendar that is pure inspration.  She was so happy with this calendar turning to a couple of her favorite things to use these days; Instagram prints and SRM Kraft bags!

It's calendar time and what a great gift this calendar would make.  Just think of all the people that would love this calendar to enjoy every day of the year! Perfect gift for friends, family, teachers, co-workers and the list goes on!  I love the use of Instagram prints on this calendar.

The calendar pages measure 8 x 8.  Michelle made them out of a nice heavy cardstock and a decorated paper clamp which provides enough pressure so the calendar will stand up on its own by fanning out the bottom of the pages, or can be hung on a wall.

Each calendar page has a 4 x 6 SRM Kraft bag attached for holding photos, envelopes/bills, appointment cards, or anything else that you would want to save as a reminder.

Each page also has a SRM Standard Mini Calendar and a 4 page notepad for jotting down notes & reminders.  The notepad was simply cut from loose leaf paper than lightly glued together at the top and decorated with a scalloped strip of paper.

This whole project was made using coordinating designer paper from 12 x 12 paper pad.  Michelle likes how all the colors work together and the variety of photo prints make it interesting.  To coordinate with the SRM Kraft bags she used Kraft paper for the base of the mini calendars, SRM's Large Month stickers and a matte for the photo.

Here are all the pages.  They all use the same format.  Just different papers, photos and stickers.  Click on photos to enlarge.

12 pcs 7.5" x 7.5" coordinating designer paper
12 pcs 4" x 6" SRM Kraft bags

First up is Michelle Giraud.  She loves making cards from sketches and she found the OWH sketches to be so easy to follow.  She had a hard time choosing her favorite sketch, so she created 3 cards in just 45 minutes using SRM's Thank You Sticker Sentiments and Fancy Sticker Sentiments and a touch of twine. Which one is your favorite?

Here's a bright and beautiful card from Corri Garza who loves using her die cutting machine to dress up her cards.  Corri used a sentiment from SRM's Thank You Sticker Sentiment sheet.  SRM's clear sticker sentiments work well on any card.  She did a horizozntal take on Sketch #119 for her card.  So fun!

Laurel Seabrook loved so many of the OWH sketches since they were all so fun.  She chose #164.  What a beautiful card made using SRM's Fancy Sticker Sentiments Thank You design.

Angi Barrs created this fun card using OWH's Sketch #149 and some SRM Thank You Border Stickers.  What a "hoot"!  Don't you just love that owl?

For her card, Latrice Murphy made it all about the stickers!  That makes sense since she loves using her clear SRM Sticker Sentiments.  Latrice was inspired by sketch #189 which is so fun and quirky.  Perfect!  Love the bright, bold colors and the use of black and white.

Remember to leave a comment here on our blog and you'll be in the running for WINNING this fun and fabulous collection of SRM's Thank You stickers.  Remember there will be 5 lucky winners! What would you do with all these delicious stickers?  Click on image to see more detail.  To see all of SRM's products, click HERE. Christmas Ornaments by Lesley

Leslay Croghan loves to create handmade Christmas ornaments.  They are such a beautiful and thoughtful gift.

For her first ornament, Lesley uses glitter paper to create an intricate diecut shape.  She then adds a 2014 sticker from SRM's Year of Memories for personalization.  So pretty!

And for her second ornament, Lesley again uses diecut shapes to create this darling Christmas stocking.  She creates a smaller version of the glitter diecut ornament and attaches it to the stocking and tied it all off with some delicious Peapod Twinery Twine.  Perfection!

What a great gift for friends at work or for a teacher.  Thanks for the inspiration Lesley!

Be sure to join us tomorrow for World Cardmaking Day when SRM will have a special Saturday Blog and join in with Operation Write Home in a MEGA Blog Hop!  And there will be giveaways of 5 special "Thank You" prize packets.  Be sure to drop by and leave a comment on the blog to be in the running to be a WINNER!

Hope to see you here on the MEGA Blog tomorrow in celebration of World Card Making Day.  There will be plenty of inspiration from some members of SRM's fabulous Design Team.

What's Cookin' by Angi

Whether it's Project Life, Smash, or Photo Freedom there are so many ways to document your life nowadays and Angi Barrs really loves the new concepts. And she finds it so easy and fun to add SRM Stickers to any of these projects.

Angi started making a new Snap album this month. This one is dedicated to her "Sweet Tooth". She loves pies, cakes, brownies, cheesecake, etc.
She thinks that she has visited just about every bakery in her town. :)

Here's Angi's "Foodie Book" so far...
The cover says it all!  And it says it in a combination of Thickers and SRM Stickers. Angi used lots of stickers from SRM's Cooking Collection.

Here's the What's Cookin' sticker that she used on the cover.  Just think of all the ways that Angi can use these stickers in her new "Sweet Tooth" book!

Angi created a few pages devoted to some mini pies that she has her eye on to use for an upcoming family function.  YUM!

The definition for "recipe" is from SRM's Cooking Say it with Stickers.  The rest of this sticker is going to come in handy as Angi builds her "sweet" book.

And on this page Angi used one of SRM's Labels by the Dozen the "Made by" Collection. Love this set!  And love any sweet with lemon!

Do you do Project Life, Smash or Photo Freedom?  SRM Stickers are perfect for these new concepts with all our themes.  The calendar theme is particularly handy!

Alice in Wonderland Mixed Media Bag

Angélique Jarrier wanted to create a gift bag that was magical using the theme of Alice in Wonderland. The result is this beautiful and magical Mixed Media project that would be a treasured keepsake for any lucky recipient.  Wonder what she'll put inside the bag?

SRM Stickers Blog - Angélique Jarrier - #bag #gift #mixedmedia #alice

For this project Angélique used one of SRM's 5" x 7 1/2" kraft bags.  She loves them since they have great resistance with her Mixed-media techniques that she loves to make.

SRM Stickers Blog - Angélique Jarrier - #bag #gift #mixedmedia #alice

And she also used a SRM Fancy Sticker Sentiment in the Thinking of You design.
You can use these clear stickers on almost any surface and use almost any ink or paint.  They have great resistance too.  I love the way the fancy sentiment is used on the bottom of Angélique's gift bag.  The clear sticker blends in with the decoration by adding a little fancy to the story of Alice in Wonderland.

Now let's take a look at more beautiful details of this project.

The bottom of the bag is worked in white paint with a small point stencil and distress inks. Angélique also stamped on the bottom.

The tag is also worked with paint and a small point stencil, but to give a bit of contrast and relief, she placed a piece of paper doily on the tag beneath her beautiful collage.

The finishing touches on Angélique's projects are always so fun and whimsical.  Don't you love the  cat poised at the top of the bag seemingly observing all of Alice's escapades!

WOW!  Thanks for all that inspiration Angélique.  Your work is so special and magical.

Project Life by Laurel

Laurel Seabrook loves doing Project Life and uses lots of SRM Stickers to create these wonderful pages.  Here's what Laurel has to say about her Project Life pages:

"I am sure enjoying creating my Project Life album from week to week.  One thing I have made myself do is relax about it.  When I first started out I wanted both pages to be of one week and thus really stressed at times making sure I took photos.  What I came to realize that the whole focus of the album, I had to remember was just to document our daily life and if that life didn't have a lot happening one week then so be it - then it only needs one page.  That is the case for this week, it was a rather low key week with the first full week back to school - and as a teacher myself these first few weeks are very busy!"

Click on the photos below to see all the wonderful details.  See how many SRM Stickers you can find!

SRM Stickers Blog - Laurel Seabrook - #projectlife #layout #school #stickers #calendar #lifeisgood

Laurel continues:  "Once again the SRM Stickers really made my page come together quickly.  They are so easy to apply and I love the subtle effect they add when applied right to the photo."

In this detail Laurel used SRM's Sticker Stitches, Life is Good Sticker Sentiments and days of the week from SRM's Year of Memories sticker.

SRM Stickers Blog - Laurel Seabrook - #projectlife #layout #school #stickers #calendar #lifeisgood

Laurel used "the little things" sentiment from SRM's Everyday Life sticker and she cut it up to fit the space she wanted to fill.

And on this closeup Laurel used lots of random stickers from various SRM Sheets including School Express Yourself for "think" and "high achiever" and Stickers by the Dozen Patriotic for the "Hooray".

SRM's clear stickers are perfect for Project Life.  What a fun and fast way to keep a record of the weekly activities of your family.
