Mini Calendar Teacher Gift by Karen

Hello!  Karen here today.  I love doing Back to School projects!

It's almost time! The summer is winding down and school supplies are stacking up. Today, I'm sharing a cute back to school calendar project for your favorite teachers. I started with a mini clipboard that I covered with school themed washi tape.

Then I grabbed all my school themed SRM stickers and the 2017 and 2018 calendar stickers. Using precut 3x4 journaling cards sped up the project and provided additional background color. I used the mini calendar stickers and lots of SRM stickers to create a card for each month. Each month's card is fun and unique.

Happy back to school time!

For this project, I used lots of stickers from these SRM collections:

May/June Planner Spread by Christine

Anybody else feel like summer requires even more planning than the rest of the year? Christine joining you today to show how I am getting summer ready with my planner and some handy supplies from SRM Stickers!

If you are like me, you love both stickers and stamps for your planner and SRM has you covered all around!

Since it was a week that overlapped both May and June I added some Mini Calendar 2017/Decorative stickers so I could better keep track of my dates. I also pulled out my Notes to Self Planner stamp set and did some stamping in there.

I love the Freestyle/Summer sticker set and try to use each different set each season (yes! There's one for each season!)  My Black Le Pen is seriously one of my all time faves in my supplies.  May it never run out of ink or get lost, I may cry ;)!

You can use this awesome little Wafer Die to cut out these calendars or trim carefully with your scissors.  How are you decorating your planner these days?  Jump on all these fun summer stickers and stamps to make your planning time both fun and creative!

Hello Spring Layout by Karen

Hello!  Karen here today to share a special layout.

I love spring! The buds and blooms and return of little critters make for awesome photos. You know what else I love? Combining all kinds of SRM goodies in a layout with those photos! My daughter found this little friend while out playing in the garden a couple years ago and of course I wanted to document the experience.

This layout includes lots of Sticker Stitches throughout. I also grabbed pieces from various sheets - like the white flowers from a Thank You themed set, the "be happy" sentiment from a pastel borders set, and the sticker sentiment layered over the top photo from a school themed set.

Even though my set of mini monthly calendar stickers is from 2017, I still used it to mark the date on these 2015 photos.  I put my sticker on top of a 3 x 4 card from my stash and circled the specific date of the photos. I wrote the year off to the side. This makes a great large embellishment as well as a creative way to document the date of my layout photos. Thinking outside of the box with your stash of stickers really multiplies the size of your stash!

Another great way of adding layers is with the little doilies. I used some watered down acrylic pink paint to coordinate them to my layout and then layered them behind my photos and date card. The way they curl up slightly from the paint adds a fun dimension to the layout, too.

Don't limit yourself to use themed stickers for their original purpose. Many have multiple uses and can be used in all sorts of fun ways on a layout, cards, or other project. How will you use yours?

April Planner Spread by Christine

April is in full swing at our house and it has required lots and lots of organization!  We've got birthdays, holidays, and tons of school commitments!  Christine joining you today with a look at my spread where I used a bunch of SRM Stickers to decorate!

I'm working with a horizontal planner these days (from Paper House Productions) and I like the feel of it.  It's different to get used to decorating but I also like the big horizontal spaces!  My Black Le Pen  got a workout for this spread!

I primarily used the Free Style/Spring set of stickers for the spread.  I didn't want to add to much but I definitely wanted color.  This sticker set has yellows, greens, and blues providing lots of the desired color for the season!  I also pulled out the Stickers by the Dozen/Thank You set to bring in some more daisy stickers!

I'm totally struggling to keep track of dates this month so I decided to add a Standard Mini Calendar sticker to the bottom of the spread so I could keep my eye on the whole month!

How's your planner coming together for April? We'd love to see what you are doing in it!

Calendar Layout by Shelly

Hey y'all! Shelly, here!
Today I'm sharing something I haven't made in a looong time...like, over 12 yrs or so long time. lol What is it you ask?...Well, my title most likely gave it away (lol) but...

Check it out!

A layout!?!...Yep. I made a layout. I wanted to something different and upon thinking of things, a layout came to my mind. So, I went with it. ;)

I used a bunch of SRM Stickers goodies and just had some fun! I chose to do layout of our dog because in January is her birthday.

I placed my photo where I wanted it to be and just started working around it, so to speak. I also wanted to keep things 'clean' so I did leave lots of white.

Fun and sweet, yeah?!...

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Enjoy your day!

2017 Mini Calendar Gift Set by Shantaie

Hello!  Shantaie here today with a fun idea. I challenged myself to create a more updated look and use of the traditional mini calendar, and to make it pretty enough to give as a gift. I set myself up for quite the challenge. After all paper crafters have been creating mini calendars for many years, how could I do possibly anything that hasn't already been done?

The answer was I couldn't. Not really. So I sought not to reinvent it, but to reinvent the way I might use a mini calendar in my daily life. I would most likely use it in tandem with my daily/ weekly planner, and I figured I would want it to be happy, colorful and loose so I could attach the month to my planner or on my desk.

What I came up with is 12 separate and distinct 3 X 4.5" pages cut from bristol, stamped in black with splashes of gellato in silver and pink.

For January and February I used the love birds stamp set and for march birthday plans stamp set.   As you create your calendar pages, it is perfectly fine to stamp into the calendar area as long as you don't have large areas of solid black. The mini calendar is a clear sticker so your design will come right through!

April's flowers are from the just believe stamp and May's sentiment is from love one another.  I love the big bold happy on June from the aptly named "big Happy" stamp set!

For July I used Noah's ark and August Autumn blessings September (one of my favorite pages) uses the healthy plans stamp set.

We revisit Autumn blessings for October and Big Thank you for November, finishing up the year with Big Merry for December.

I popped my calendar into a glassine bag, decorated it with patterned paper, ribbon, twine, a pom-pom and a sticker and my gift is ready to give!

A mini calendar set not reinvented, but revamped maybe!
This bold and useful calendar is just a little different from the ones I might have made years ago, and 2017 is already looking pretty good!

Here are all of the SRM goodies I used in my project.

Oh what a lovely stash!

Calendar Cards for Pocket Scrapbooking by Samantha

Hello! Samantha here today to share with you a fun stash busting idea. If you love scrapbooking, you're really going to enjoy making yourself a set of these calendar cards for pocket scrapbooking.

These 3x4 pocket cards are a great way to use lots of bits and pieces of paper as well as lots of SRM stickers. I used a lot of random sticker sheets for these cards (and I'll list them all at the end of this post), but the only ones you have to have for these cards are the 2017 Mini Calendar Sheets in Standard or Decorative

You can make the cards purely decorative, or leave space for journaling.

I made a card for every month of 2017, and customized them for our regular events. For example, my son's baseball season runs through June, so my June card is baseball themed. School starts in August every year, so my August card is school themed.

I just gathered these all up and and stuck them in my card file so they'll be ready to use in 2017. Do you like pocket style scrapping?

2017 Desk Calendar by Melanie

Hello! Melanie here today to share one of my favorite things -- SRM Calendar stickers! They are so cute and perfect . . . and I love calendars :)

I used the 2017 Decorative Mini Calendars to put together this desk calendar I can use at work.

Having something small and as a quick reference is very handy for me. And if it is cute, it is an extra bonus!

For each month I used 3x4 inch cards (I have a TON of these in my stash). Then I added the calendars and an embellishment.

The SRM Sticker Stitches worked beautifully to add a finishing touch. They come in several different colors to add a fun pop to your projects.

I used my binding machine and 1/2" coils to connect each of the month pages together. Because it fans out, it sits really nicely on it's own.

This calendar is for me . . . but I can definitely see myself making more for gifts :)

Enjoy your day!

Geometric Desk Calendar by Samantha

Hello! Samantha here today to share a project using the 2017 Mini Calendar Stickers. I got the crazy idea that it might be kind of fun to have a 12 sided 3-D shape to put my calendar on. Here's what I came up with for a geometric desk calendar.

The official name for this type of shape is a dodecahedron. Creating one is pretty simple. You start by cutting 12 circles from card stock. You'll also need a pentagon that fits exactly inside the circle. You use the pentagon as a guide for scoring lines onto your circle.

The picture above shows the shapes I'm talking about.

You can see one of my 12 circles on the far left (above) with the pentagon template sitting on top. In the center you see how the circle gets scored around the pentagon template. Finally, on the far right is the finished piece.

After scoring all 12 sides, I added a calendar sticker from the 2017 Standard Mini Calendar sticker set (but the 2017 Decorative Mini Calendar sticker set would work great, too!) and a coordinating seasonal icon sticker from the Calendar Companion sticker set to each circle.

Once I had all of my pieces decorated, I just had to adhere them together with a nice strong adhesive. I chose to fold my tabs out, so my geometric shape has "petals". If you want a cleaner shape with flat seams, just fold the tabs to the inside of the dodecahedron instead of the outside.

I can't wait to use this fun, interactive geometric desk calendar when 2017 rolls around! Where would you put a calendar like this?  And by the way….what a great gift this would make!
