Crafting with Kids by Shelly

Hey y'all! Shelly, here!
Today, I'm sharing what my kids made with some SRM Stickers goodies!

I gathered some SRM Stickers supplies together and then let them one by one create a card and a bag to put it in. In this case they chose to make Mother's Day cards, though you could do this with any theme you like. :)

Thank so much for stopping by!
Enjoy your day!

Holiday Decor by Shantaie

We have so many amazing holiday projects that we've decided to have a special weekend post!  Enjoy!

Hi! Shantie here in Florida we don't have much of a chance to make snowmen, unless they are covered in glitter and added to our holiday decor! I love decorating for holidays, the lights and greenery, and the GLITTER!!!

I found these beautiful rustic oversize tin ornaments and they seemed just perfect for a little holiday vignette. I traced the tree and inserted a pretty sparkly paper and built a border with rows of
little borders and we've got your border pastel. I wanted to soften it a touch, so  I brushed it with a swipe of white paint along the edges, and began building the scene.

I imagined what my perfect snowy scene would look like and added lace, snowflakes, and of course a glittered felt snowman!

A triple banner was made with a strip of film strip, and two greetings from stickers by the dozen Christmas  and winter sentiments. I plan to enjoy my little tin tree in my craft room sitting on the shelf right above my gift wrapping station!

Crafting with Kids - Boo Banner by Karen

Do you like to craft with your kids? I love to craft with my daughter, but I have to admit - sometimes it's really hard to let her do her own thing without me "directing" her. This month SRM asked me to create a project with kids and let them have fun! And guess what? We both did!

For this "Boo Banner" project I used 5 embossed glassine bags as the banner bases. I added some acrylic paints in yellow and orange for color and texture and let it dry. I let my daughter pick out a font for the letters and cut them out with my die cut machine.

Then I gathered all my Halloween themed stickers from my SRM stash and handed them over to my daughter. Seriously, her eyes got as big as saucers at the sight of those stickers in her hands!

I told my daughter to use the border stickers to decorate the bags and then we would add the letters on top. My idea was to keep everything in nice straight lines, but she had her own ideas. So, with a deep breath, I stepped back and let her create. As you can see, she piled on stickers and borders in all directions and you know what? It's awesome! Each piece is fun, colorful and original - just like her.

We attached the pieces to a long black ribbon with mini clothespins. On each mini clothespin we attached a white card stock circle with a happy little spider sticker. For each end of the banner we gathered several lengths of coordinating ribbon.

Letting your kids into your crafting stash can be scary at times, but it's also a wonderful way to celebrate and teach confidence in their own style and creativity. Plus, you'll both cherish the time you get to spend together and have a great project to show off and talk about!

Thank You A Latte by Shannon

There's this hashtag...#handmadeisbestmade
I believe this.

I also believe in simple kindness like thank you notes.
 ❤
I created a set of thank you notes to share with you in this post. This set of cards features just a few of the products you can find at SRM!

There's something to be said about a handmade card for someone. Kindness matters. ❤

Here's each card in no particular order.

Stickers and stamps are a great combo. ❤

Little Borders can add a perfect detail to your cards.

I like to use Little Borders as "washi tape" and Sticker Stitches abundantly! ❤

Thank you for letting me share with you today, as always your support means so much!

Here are the supplies used on these cards:

★Hooray USA!★ by Shannon

Hi all, Shannon here, July 4th is coming up!

This holiday is so much to our family. It's my sweet girl Mackenzie's favorite holiday. She loves fireworks. Karl loves watching her happy face light up and listening to her laughter. Patrick loves all of the "foods" he can eat in celebratory amounts of glee...though Patrick just loves food in general right now, he's 13.

I love stars and red, white and blue and all the day symbolizes.

I created a 5X7 frame for my mantle celebrating the USA. I used a ton of SRM goodness. There is A LOT of SRM goodness to choose from!

Here is the frame, it's actually a "shadow box" type frame, which works perfect for someone like me who layers "all the things"…☺

If you take a closer look at the details, you'll see twine, labels, sticker stitches, borders, tiny borders, patterned vinyl and even sequins.

It's All About Heart Bible Journaling by Shannon

Good Morning!  Shannon here today to share some of my Bible Journaling with you.  Bible journaling is such a wonderful and personal craft.    By the way, SRM has a Bible Journaling Facebook group called Bible Journaling Journey.  Come join us HERE.

June is Ordinary Time for my faith, but it is anything from ordinary. We devote a whole month to The Sacred Heart of Jesus, not to be overshadowed, we also honor The Immaculate Heart of Mary. These two hearts work in everyone's lives, whether they realize it or not. For those of us who call on them daily, they are a source of peace, love, growth, comfort, devotion, a safe place to tell your sorrows and joys to.

My page I am sharing with you, it's a declaration of sorts, the reading is a sad one, before Jesus dies on the cross, and breathes his final breath, but it is a powerful declaration. Mary is mother to us all. She loves us and wants the very best for us. She is our protector, she is the one who wraps her arms around us in deep sorrow or celebratory joy. She is amazing and all the love in the world could never compare to the love she feels for each and every one of us.

I used many SRM goodies to create this page, the products are the perfect size for the limited margins in a journaling bible, and you truly can add dimension without bulk. I used SRM Glassine Bags as a subtle layer, you can still see the text and colors behind.  Large Scalloped Punched Pieces make a big impact and  an additional layer.

If you are looking for a quick way to add some journaling, SRM has tons of stickers with great sentiments, I used Free Style/Thrive and Sentiment/Shine Your Light to add some loving words. I can't complete any project without using my Le Pen or Sticker Stitches.

I used so many more great things available to you, here is a complete list:

Have a wonderful day & thank you for letting me share!  ❤

Watercolor Greetings by Shantaie

Hello! Have you ever wondered just how much fun it is to watercolor? Not only is it fun, the results are so pretty, and the best part?.....imperfection is applauded! win win my friends!  Nothing can be better than the feeling of being good at something on your very first try! A few simple swipes with gelatos on watercolor paper and a wet brush reveal a soft color transition just begging to be a card base!

I did my messy swiping in no a horizontal direction from top to bottom, after the water dried, I splashed a few spritzes of glimmer mist and added a gold butterfly die cut. For a greeting a SRM fancy sentiments stickers and a tiny section from little borders. The card is wrapped with a shimmer twine bow, because you can never have too much shimmer..... It's my alltime favorite twine!!!

The objective here was to make really fast and simple cards, that don't look fast! I think I can call this  "mission accomplished" :)

I do know this to be true, real cards from real people make a big differance in a persons day, they don't have to be pricey, or take hours to make, to make a big impact on someones day! :)

I Chose You - Bible Journaling by Shannon

Good morning! I hope this post finds you well.  It's me Shannon sharing another bible journaling journey with you. Something I want to point out to you as you'll probably be seeing more and more bible inspired posts here at SRM, there is no wrong or right way to begin. You may feel intimidated or overwhelmed, maybe you don't know where to begin? It all starts with a single step, like any journey.

My first entry in my bible looks nothing like the one you'll see in this post, I was terrified that I would ruin it, but friends, you can't ruin something that you're on out of pure inspiration. Some of your entries will be simple, some of them will be complex. You are going to find that every entry will be driven by a different reason each time.

I used SRM Little Borders (in Black and White)Clear Stamps in Words of FaithLe Pens and Sticker Stitches as I worked on my page.

Here is a close up of some of the detail in the stamps that I used to stamp inside the hearts:

As you do your Bible Journaling, do not force yourself to journal, if you're not feeling it, walk away and come back to it, this isn't any kind of contest, this is your personal spiritual journey, or your personal time to get to know God better.  Here are the SRM products that I used on this page.  Look closely and you will see how each of these stamps, stickers and pens have been woven together to create my page.

I can't tell you enough how SRM has so many options for you to make your bible journaling pages spectacular....and I am sure you can look forward to many new exciting options in the future! I hope that you will share your Bible Jounaling using SRM products on our Flickr.

You're the IRISH Cream…little borders card by Shantaie

Sláinte! I do love a good cup of coffee, and a little word play too! With St.Patricks day on its way I thought it would be fun to add a little Irish twist to the Coffee Time stamp set by coloring a trio of cups in green and orange and adding an Express Yourself St. Patricks Day sticker to alter the sentiment just a bit.

I used several rows of the Little borders as a foundation for my cups o' coffee and they are so cute, like little colorful stacks of happiness! I love it when I realize that there are tons of ways to use a product, it makes me feel like I have this mighty little hidden multi-tasker waiting to spring into action! These Little Borders sure do have big potential! :)

Spring Card Set by Christine

It's blah and dreary outside my windows here in Illinois but I know spring is around the corner.  I'm definitely dreaming of spring and my crafts are showing it!  Christine joining you today with a set of spring cards that will be a hit with anyone you share them with!

I focused my attention on the Sentiment/Spring stickers because they are just so awesome for this kind of thing!  Quick, easy, and so many cute phrases!

I was creating mini cards - so the Mini Box was perfect for storing them in (and of course decorating up cute).

3 inch cards were a great platform for the sentiments - I didn't need a lot on the card to make them cute!

I stuck with a similar format for each card!  Add a cute focal point, add a sentiment, and add some fo the new Little Borders/Summer.

I also tried to add some dimension to each card - just to keep things interesting!

Hippity Hoppity was probably meant for bunnies but it's pretty stinkin' cute with frogs too!

Don't let this dreary weather hold you back - start getting ready for spring with some fun spring crafts!  And then be sure to share them with us!
