Quick & Easy Holiday Thank You Cards

I needed a few cards to send out to generous family members to thank them for gifts my children received at Christmas. I didn't want generic Thank You cards as I'm still feeling the Christmas, I pulled out a few festive items and created a set of cards using my favorite go-to formula. So quick & easy!

Two pieces of 8 1/2" x 11" Kraft cardstock
Four pieces of 4" x 5 1/4" patterned paper
Four strips of 1 3/4" x 5 1/4" coordinating cardstock
Four strips of 1 1/2" x 5 1/4" coordinating patterned paper
Focal image (chipboard, stamped image, paper flower, lots of possibilities!)
SRM Thank You Stickers

Cut Kraft cardstock pieces in half and fold in half
Attach SRM Stickers to bottom of card panels
Mat strips together and adhere to card panels above sticker strip
Adhere focal images using dimensional adhesive
Adhere card panels to card bases

Flickr Spotlights are up tomorrow! Be sure to load your SRM Stickers artwork into our Gallery...

Store Spotlight; The Scrapbook Zone

The Scrapbook Zone
established May 2002
27889 Orchard Lake Road
Farmington Hills, MI 48334
(248) 553-0633

Artist and Owner; Kelley Popp
Blog Address:

by Kelley Popp: "The Scrapbook Zone has been carrying SRM Stickers since we opened in May 2002. I find that I use the SRM Sticker Sentiments often when I teach at our Art Bar weekly. I like how I can create 20+ unique cards, pages, tags, etc., with just one sheet of stickers. This year for Christmas, I made my Mother-in-law and Grandma card sets using the Birthday, Thinking of You and Thank-You sticker sentiments. The tags highlighted here were created for our 25 Tags of December project. The Christmas Sentiment Stickers added just the right touch to each tag I placed them on. We recently brought in the Tubes and they are flying out of the store as well."

We hope you enjoyed our first Store Spotlight. If your store is interested in a spotlight at the SRM Stickers Blog, please email us!

Altered Canvas

I have a beautiful project to share with you today. Cathy Schellenburg, a reader and friend of SRM Stickers, created this altered canvas using our Say It With Stickers, "Outdoors" set;

The leaves were hand made by women in the Philippines, dyed and dried. They're called Skeleton Leaves.

We're introducing a new feature tomorrow - Store Spotlights! I'll be showcasing The Scrapbook Zone and SRM Stickers projects created by their team.

Peace on Earth

Still looking for a little holiday card inspiration? Kathy Racoosin created this card using die cuts, a digital image, and a SRM Sticker sentiment from our Happy Holidays Sticker Sentiment sheet;

Kathy hand-colored and stamped her lovely blue background panel and the clear sticker sentiment looks beautiful without covering her artwork!

Are you ready for some tubes?! We're using them every which way and I can't wait to show you what Tobi has done with our tubes tomorrow!

Holiday Greetings by Gina

Here's a fantastic shaped holiday card by our multi-talented Designer, Gina Hanson. Gina used my personal favorite element of our Sticker Sentiments -- the repetitive strip. Look how well the sticker takes on a curved shape;

As Nina did yesterday, Gina used our Happy Holidays sticker sheet.

I have more projects for you over the next few days then it's another tube feature on Friday! Want to see what we've done with our tubes so far? Click HERE. :)

Guest Designer, Sarah Martina Parker

We are thrilled to have the divine Sarah Martina Parker as a Guest Designer on our Blog today. We have long admired Sarah's work and were excited to see what she'd do with SRM Stickers.

Hey y’all! Sarah here, and I’m so excited to be a guest today on the SRM Stickers blog! I guess you could say that paper-crafting is my first passion, but only if you don’t count my incredible family first. I joined the online craft community in December 2008, diving in “head first,” and I haven’t been able to stop since! Making cards is my favorite way to design, but I also enjoy creating scrapbook pages, altered items, gifts and more. I am married to my hero and best friend, Sie. Together we have a beautiful daughter, Sydney, and a fun-loving son, Sie, II. When I’m not lounging with them, I love getting my hands dirty in my hideaway craft room.

And here are Sarah's projects using SRM Stickers...what a beautiful set of holiday gift tags!

Thank you so much, Sarah. Please stop back by tomorrow for special card feature!

Gift Holder Tutorial by Carole Kisch

by Carole Kisch

Today I have a tutorial for you ~ a holiday gift bag that you can make using one piece of 12x12" patterned paper, two brads, and your favourite festive embellies. I used SRM Stickers; Winter Wishes #51009 and BasicGrey.

Step 1:
Choose a piece of 12x12 patterned paper. Score at 1, 5, 6, 7 and 11 inches.

Step 2:
Rotate your paper one quarter turn and score at 3-1/2 and 8-1/2 inches.

Step 3: Fold your paper at your 1-inch and 11-inch score lines, and at the 3-1/2 and 8-1/2 inch score lines. You will end up with a sleeve that looks like this...

Step 4: Fold along the 5, 6 and 7-inch score lines. Your middle line will form the inside peak of the gift bag...

Step 5: Attach two brads to the inside panels of the bag...

Add your sentiment...

Add your gift cards...

And you're finished!

Thank you, Carole! We have a special treat for you tomorrow -- Guest Designer, Sarah Martina Parker! You will love what she's done with SRM Stickers.
