Planner Pages by Christine

Hi SRM fans!  Christine joining you today to share a couple of my planner spreads.  I've been searching for just the right planner.  I came to a realization that I needed a family one and then one just for me.  So today I am going to share with you my family one and how I used lots of SRM Stickers and Stamps in it!

This is my spread for the second week of November.  It was a crazy week as we were traveling for part of it! I used several different sets of stickers on here as well as stamp!

This was a pretty awesome half of the week!  As you can see on the left side I created a list of out of the norm things I needed to do.  This was super helpful.  Now if you are wondering about my areas that are covered up with patterned paper....those I have decided will be where I have nothing planned.  Each time I have one of those I am going to add in a heart from the Life is Good Stamp Set.  I will have those there as a reminder that I have a time out from anything and I should use those times to love on my family!

Sticker Stitches are an absolute staple for this type of hobby.  I'm going to be going through a lot of sticker stitches! I was particularly into the black ones this month! I added a "Happy" sticker from the Happy Quick Card Set.  The Calendar Companion sticker set had a couple of perfect additions as well!

With nothing planned for Saturday I took some artistic liberty and just had fun adding the November from Calendar Months/Large Snappy and the leaves!  A personal touch is added with the Have a Ball Basketball and Say It With Stickers Mini Piano

Of course there are more Sticker Stitches and Baby Blue Little Borders (coming in January).

My second spread is for a more normal week in our house and is packed with my writing!  For this one I used a lot of Sticker Stitches and the Silver & White Little Borders.

I used a tag stamp from the same Life is Good stamp set to fill some white space.

I also added in some faith statements from one of my faves, the Shine Your Light set. I'll work that one in where ever I can because it is so inspiring!

I used Sticker Stitches as a border for my morning, afternoon, and evening sections and I really like the way that worked out!

Mini Calendar & Die by Shantaie Fowler

I have a sweet little mini calendar set to share with you today that can easily be made in multiples for the upcoming gift giving season.

I started with a simple sheet of 12X12 kraft cardstock cut to 5.5" X 12 and scored at 6".

From there I cut a 4"X 5.5" piece and scored it at 1"-2" 3" to create the easel base. Embellished with papers that inspire you and add a layer of ecru lace, ribbon and gold shimmer twine.

I applied each calendar month to coordinating papers and cut them using the mini calendar die and my cuttlebug, I then attached them to 3"X 3" squares of cream cardstock and added  the calendar months up top for added boldness
{ I love this look!} I punched a small hole in the set and placed a brad to hold them together, {A kraft bag would be great to store them in too!}
Now stow the upcoming months inside the easel and clip the current month to the front with a border sticker embellished clip.

Now you are ready to make a couple or check off your "what to make?" list!  Thanks for stopping in, and as always have a great and crafty day!

Guest Designer - Jennifer Pohl - Planner Perfection!

So excited to welcome Jennifer Pohl as a guest designer today with a focus on Planners.  Jen was our blog coordinator for 3 years and got SRM into blogging, Facebook and social media big time.  She is an incredible crafter and now she's turned her focus on Planners. She's simply wild about all things planners and SRM has so many products that are planner perfect!  Check them out HERE! We will be seeing more of Jen from time to time, sharing her planner goodness with us.

And if you leave a comment on the blog today you will be in the running for winning the stash that Jennifer used on her planner….just in time for your October pages!

Now let's hear from Jen in her own words….

- - - - - - -

Hello everyone, I’m Jennifer Pohl and I’m thrilled to be on the SRM blog today!  SRM stickers have been a part of my life for *years*.  They are the perfect product for party favors, birthday designs, gifting, and now --- planners!  I’m absolutely addicted to my planner; it’s a lifeline for all that’s important to me.  It helps me stay focused, organized, and assists me in staying on track with my life goals.  It’s so much more than a date keeper.

It’s not my nature to just jot down appointments and events on paper – I need to be creative.  I need to make it pretty.  I need to look at my planner every morning and feel motivated.  Today I’m featuring my October layout.  My objectives for October are;
  • Take lots of fun photos of my children enjoying the events of the month
  • Continue to try new recipes and record them on recipe cards that I can refer to in the future
  • Be on time, and not let anything “fall through the cracks” as it’s sure to be a busy month
October’s layout is all about Halloween, my family’s favorite holiday.  I’ve decorated the month with SRM Stickers but left plenty of room for jotting-down important information.

I inserted an embellished pocket to store backpack notes for my girls.

(I’ve been tucking notes for years and my girls look forward to seeing a little something from mom.  They’ve kept every note throughout the years!)

I got ahead of the game by premaking little inspiring tags using SRM’s Labels by the Dozen’ and ‘Live Life’ school stickers.

Also tucked into October is a glassine envelope containing recipe cards – all decorated with SRM’s Cookin’ stickers.  I’m on a mission to try new recipes and memorialize my family’s favorites each month.

By the end of 2015 I should have a collection to help me head into 2016 with lots of dinner options.

The last October insert is a clear pocket for photos.  Lots and lots of photos!  We’re planning a trip to the pumpkin patch, haunted house, and we’ll be attending a costume party… So many opportunities for pictures.  I needed something special to hold them until I could scrapbook them, so I fancied a banner using SRM’s Halloween stickers.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed a peek into my planner.  Be sure to share your planner ideas on SRM's Flickr.  We'd love to see what you do!  And don't forget to comment for a change to winner some planner goodness from SRM!

December Documented Album by Christine

Hi SRM Fans!  Christine joining you today.  I have never done a December Documented Album and have always wanted to!  My December is always busy so I decided to create the base in advance and then I can just add pictures and embellishments as I go.  As I was thinking through my process, SRM Stickers kept coming to mind so I decided to dive right into that! Today I am going to share with you the starting process and some ideas for how to use SRM Stickers on your base pages - especially focusing on the numbers.  And remember, you can create this album anytime and drop your December photos in!  After the holidays would be perfect!

SRM Stickers Blog - December Documented Album by Christine - #decemberdaily #christmas #minialbum #stickers #doilies #punchedpieces

Part of the reason I knew that SRM was perfect for this job was because I knew I had ready made numbers and months that would look good with nearly any patterned paper.  I loved this tree patterned paper and just added the December from the Calender Months Large/Snappy Set. I knew I definitely wanted the year on the cover as well and the We've Got Your Numbers - Small were perfect for adding it to the corner.  We could be here all day if I show you all 25 pages of the album so I am just going to share a few of them that I really love!

SRM Stickers Blog - December Documented Album by Christine - #decemberdaily #christmas #minialbum #stickers #doilies #punchedpieces

To keep things easy I stuck entirely with one patterned paper line.  The line had numbers with it too so for some added interest I used those on a few pages.  To accent this page I used a Merry Christmas sticker from the Christmas Stickers by the Dozen and a Peace Love Joy border sticker from the Take 2 Stickers by the Dozen: Christmas.  As you can see there is plenty of room to add a picture and some journaling for the day.

Oh how I love SRM's 4 inch doilies!  So they made lots of appearances in the album :)  I also used a Merry Christmas round sticker from the Take 2 Stickers by the Dozen: Christmas to add a pop of red.  The border is from We've Got Your Border Christmas.  I was surprised how much I liked that against the polka dots!  The 6 comes from the We've Got Your Number - XL Black set.  These numbers in black and white area simply awesome... perfect for adorning everything from layouts to pocket pages to mini albums!

The new punched pieces are also a fabulous addition to mount your numbers onto!  More from the We've Got Your Border Christmas helped to trim this page along with a cute little gingerbread from the Stickers by the Dozen Gingerbread Man set.

This last page that I am going to share gives you one more idea for mounting your numbers and that is to use SRM Labels. Since my patterned papers had black in them I opted to use some of the Black White Labels by the Dozen.

Now that you've seen some of the base how about a look at some of the finished pages!  Yes, this mom of four has managed to get some pages done already!  YAY!

Project Life by Latrice

Welcome to Day #3 of our Project Life feature.  Project Life has taken over the scrapbooking world by storm and Latrice Murphy just loves the creating process of adding memorabilia and little bits to those pockets to make it a truly special layout. Latrice uses her Project Life as a photo a day family album. There are weeks when she finds that there aren't enough pictures, but Latrice never stresses. You'll see in her spread that she created both 3 x 4 and 4 x 6 cards that went well with her bold bold color scheme and photos. Take a look.  And enjoy!

Latrice loves using her SRM Stickers on her Project Life pages.  The numbers, words and decorative tags are perfect for Project Life.

Love that SRM Mini Calendar for July!  And the July sticker from SRM's Calendar Months is perfect too!

So many little stickers used to tell the story of Latrice's family for the month of July.  I even spy a SRM Labels by the Dozen holding the "wet 'n wild" sticker title for SRM's Water/Beach stickers.  Fun!

Project Life Summer Pages by Laurel

Welcome to day #2 of our Project Life mini feature.

Laurel Seabrook loves Project Life and loves her SRM Stickers.  Here's what happens when she puts them together.  To see more details, just click on the photos.  Let's hear from Laurel in her own words...

"I love how easy it is to add all the little details to my Project Life pages using the SRM Stickers."

"Don't be afraid to trim your stickers.  On the bottom left pocket, I only wanted the word 'Hooray' not the whole sentiment 'Hooray USA' from the Patriotic Set so I just trimmed it."

"One of my favorite things to do is to place the stickers right onto the photos themselves."

Thanks Laurel for sharing your Summer Fun with us in your Project Life pages.  What a fun solution to keeping track of family activities.

SRM Stickers are simply perfect for using on Project Life.  Just ask Laurel!
Be sure to join us tomorrow when Latrice Murphy shares her bright Project Life style.

Project Life Gift Set Tutorial by Roberta Rosi

For the next few days we are going to share some fun and fabulous ideas for Project Life.Today we are treating you to a PL Tutorial from Roberta Rosi.  For this post Roberta made a set of cards to use in Project Life.  She created these as a gift.  Love this idea.  So sit back and relax and enjoy Roberta's step by step instructions.

Roberta started with 5 sheets of Becky Higgins Project-Life patterned papers. She cut them in the three classic formats used for Project Life: 4 x 6,  6 x 4 and 3 x 4 making 10 cards for each format.  She then rounded the corners on all cards using a 1/2" corner punch.

Next, Roberta started decorating the first six cards (4 x 6) with SRM Stickers including the Snappy Months small and Black Sticker Stitches, adding some strips of paper, hearts, butterflies and buttons.  Roberta created cards for January through June.

Roberta did the same with the other six cards (6 x4) using the same stickers and embellishments for the other 6 months of the year, decorating a total of 12 cards, one for each month of the year!

Finally, she decorated the remaining six small cards (3 x 4) with the SRM Sticker Sentiments, Life is Good design, Black Sticker Stitches and paper embellishments.

Roberta now has a total of 30 cards (18 of which are decorated) which are ready to be packed!

She tied them together with Twinery Charcoal Twine.

Then she folded and tied with twine SRM's Mini Calendar stickers.

She packed everything in a 5 x 7 1/2" SRM Kraft bag.

Now her PL cards are ready to be used as gift!!
What a fabulous idea!

Thanks Roberta for all the inspiration.  What a wonderful tutorial.  Are you ready to create some Project Life gift bags for your friends?

Be sure to join us tomorrow for some Project Life goodness from Laurel Seabrook.  See you soon!
