It's a Party!

Hello and welcome back! Did you know SRM carries everything you need to customize your own party invitations, favors, banners, etc.? I recently assembled my daughter's party items using gobs of stickers. Roxy is turning eight soon and hosting her first slumber party. When I asked what kind of theme she wanted for her party she replied, "Just make it colorful!".

I started by using SRM's "Party in a Bag" birthday theme. The kit contains four invitations, card bases, envelopes, and tubes along with a sheet of Birthday Borders. I created the invitations by mixing and matching colorful embossed cardstock, and matting the invitation stickers. I decorated the envelopes with border stickers.

I purchased plain $1 notebooks and dressed them up as party favors;

I decorated Glassine Bags using We've Got Your Sticker Plus to hold handmade hair bows as more party favors;

The cupcake toppers were a breeze using the leftover stickers from the Birthday Quick Card Stickers I used for the notebooks and Labels by the Dozen.

I filled tubes with candy and used the birthday borders from the Party in a Bag to decorate them. I tagged them using Labels by the Dozen and Twine;

Interested in creating your own party - it's easier than you think with SRM to help!

Party in a Bag by Jamie

Jamie Cripps had fun with one of our Party in a Bag kits! Jamie says, "I used the tubes for table placement, filling each one with a punching balloon and using a metal rim tag for their names. I also used the same size metal rim tag to tie onto the invitations."

Filling the tubes with punching balloons is such a clever alternative to candy - love that! Join us tomorrow for a fun mini album by Carolyn.

Zoo Party by Carolyn

Carolyn King created an adorable baby party set using our Party in a Bag (baby boy). The die cut tube toppers are fabulous and so fun!

Carolyn added the {baby shower} sticker on a piece of vellum to make a cute holder to slide the tube through;

For the elephant tube, Carolyn created a vellum slide on the back of the elephant to have him sitting at the top of the tube. Of course, she used more border stickers to decorate;

Have a wonderful and crafty weekend! We're back on Monday and all week with more stickers projects from our Designers.

Party in a Bag by Tessa

Tessa Buys, one of our brilliant 2011 SRM Stickers Design Team members is treating us today to her version of our new product, Party in a Bag! Enjoy!

Tessa says, "I fussy-cut flowers from patterned paper to make the invitations. On the inside, I added banner-cut strips and a border sticker. For the envelopes, I cut apart a border sticker and layered it with fabric tape in the corner. I added sentiment stickers directly onto the fabric tape."

Tessa used the round baby images in a banner. She simply added them to cardstock and punched them out with a starburst punch. She punched starbursts out of patterned paper and sewed the circles together.

Tessa cut apart one of the border stickers to create cupcake flags and cut apart more border stickers, combined them with fabric tape to close a party favor bag filled with flower seeds.

Tessa also created flowers to top tubes and added a sentiment to the center of each one.

Here's what Tessa had to say about her time on the 2011 SRM Stickers Design Team; "I count being a part of the SRM team in 2011 as one of my greatest blessings of the year. It has been an amazing experience. Susan has been an absolute dream to work for. She is caring, encouraging, and oh-so-thoughtful. Jenyfur has been a magnificent team coordinator and cheerleader. Every member of the design team was kind, supportive and inspiring. Just to be associated with these gals has been a huge boost to my crafty morale and creativity. I am most grateful for the friendships that have grown here. I am also grateful for the amazing product that I was able to work with. SRM cannot be beat in quality or versatility, which makes SRM Stickers my go-to product for just about any crafty endeavor I take on. SRM will forever have a place in my crafty heart :)."

We adore you and your work, Tessa, thank you so much!

Tubular Birthday with Carolyn

Looking for a fun and unique birthday party invitation? Check out this idea by Carolyn King!

Carolyn says; I thought it would be fun to design a birthday party invitation using a Tube. Who wouldn't want to receive a candy invitation? I used a Silhouette file to create the birthday cake invitation and I decorated it using We've Got Your Border - Birthday and We've Got Your Invite - Birthday. I also used some of the border stickers to decorate the tube.

The invitation is attached to the tube using baker's twine. When you remove the invitation, you are left with a fun party treat. Note: The Party in a Bag - Birthday kit comes with all of the supplies you need to create these invitations or you can purchase all the tubes and stickers separately.

Have a great weekend, thanks for visiting with us! We're back next week with more brand new projects from our 2012 Design Team.

Amy Crockett designed a baby shower using our Party in a Bag and her Cricut die cut machine;

Here's what Amy had to say about her time on the SRM Stickers Design Team; "I have so very much enjoyed my time as a member of the SRM Stickers design team. I have had so many wonderful opportunities this past year to get to work with some amazing designers and some of the best products in the industry. I have really enjoyed working with these beautiful stickers....they inspire me to make beautiful cards and projects each and every time I create with them. With every assignment, I have had the chance to grow as a designer and also to be pushed beyond my comfort zone to try new and exciting projects. SRM Stickers will always hold a special place in my heart as my first manufacturer design team and also for all the chances I have had to get to know some pretty amazing people during my term this last year. I would like to thanks Susan and Jenyfur for giving me the chance to be a part of it and for all of the great experiences I have had as a member of this wonderful design team."

I know we'll be seeing a lot more of Amy's work, particularly with Cricut Magazine! Thank you for everything, Amy!

Party in a Bag by Virginia

Here's Virginia Lu's Party in a Bag! Starting with the invitations, Virginia used scalloped rectangles and oval diecuts (from Spellbinders) to create purse-like treat bags. She packaged them with salt water candy.

Next is the party table display. Virginia used long bread sticks for the tubes and assembled them as the party table centerpiece. Virginia used windmills, but the possibilities for stick toppers are endless!

And lastly - cards using stickers included with Party in a Bag;

As our 2011 Team nears the end of their term, we'll be sharing their thoughts on SRM Stickers with you. Here's what Virginia had to say! "The first time I used SRM Stickers in March 2010, I was SO impressed with these brilliant stickers! I find myself to be very fortunate to be chosen to be one of the SRM DT in 2011! Now I am proud to say that the SRM stickers are going to be stuck with me for life! Being on SRM DT is definitely the highlight of my crafting life. These amazing stickers, tubes and wands have helped me expand my style in card-making and altered projects. The other day I pinned my SRM Tubes for Valentines in Pinterest, within an hour, the tubes were re-pinned 7 times! I am also thrilled to have a few cards published by Paper Crafts during my DT term with SRM. That is some kind of thrill I would never have experienced if it weren’t for the amazing products and opportunity! Thank you, Susan and Jenyfur, for believing in me!"

We adore you, Virginia!
