Coffee for the Teacher Gift Idea by Shanna

 Hello SRM friends!
This is Shanna here to show you a great back to school gift for your favorite teacher!

Back to school is a stressful time for everyone, teachers especially.. How better to show your gratitude and appreciation for their time and dedication with our children than to brighten there day with a little caffeinated lovin'??

I am a huge coffee drinker, but realizing not everyone is as avid a java-junkie as I am, a gift card seemed the way to go for my son's teacher for the first day back to school so she could pick her favorite treat out... I started with asking my local coffee shop for a clean cup and lid to be used as packaging for the gift, and went from there.  The stamps in the Coffee Plans set are perfect for any coffee related craft, this one being no exception!  I stamped an array of coffee words and icons on my gift card holder that I had previously cut out on my Silhouette Cameo, and then heat embossed my main sentiment to give it a little bling and dimension.

I needed a tag, and loved grabbing a couple of the Scalloped Circle Punched Pieces and the Reminisce white gel pen for a chalkboard feel tag for the teacher. Added a dry embossed strip of coffee cups layered with a sticker from the Live/Life School stickers set.  Quick, simple, and ADORABLE!

After the gift card holder was complete it was time to package!  YAY!  I placed a red apple in the base of the cup with some tissue paper filler under it and topped the cup off with some Starbucks K-Cups for fun.  An apple for the teacher is tradition right?? My little guy sure does think so!

I love how quick this came together, and how much my little guy enjoyed writing a note to his teacher in the card!  I opted to tie a bow with some jute twine for my final touch and added the tag with the twine. My little guy loved giving this to his teacher the first week of school!

What do you like to make teachers??  Let me know in the comments!

Until next time...

Mini Calendar Teacher Gift by Karen

Hello!  Karen here today.  I love doing Back to School projects!

It's almost time! The summer is winding down and school supplies are stacking up. Today, I'm sharing a cute back to school calendar project for your favorite teachers. I started with a mini clipboard that I covered with school themed washi tape.

Then I grabbed all my school themed SRM stickers and the 2017 and 2018 calendar stickers. Using precut 3x4 journaling cards sped up the project and provided additional background color. I used the mini calendar stickers and lots of SRM stickers to create a card for each month. Each month's card is fun and unique.

Happy back to school time!

For this project, I used lots of stickers from these SRM collections:

Teacher Gift Set by Karen

Hello!  Karen here today with some fun ideas for Teacher Appreciation.

Whether it's for Teacher Appreciation Week or as an end of year thank you, teachers everywhere need to be recognized for all the work and dedication they've shown this past school year. You don't need to spend a lot of money. Even something small can say a big thank you.

SRM tubes are perfect for a little thank you and when filled with a sweet treat, it fits the bill for cute and satisfying. Use stickers from any of SRM's adorable and inspiring school-themed sets to decorate any size tube. Using an awl, I poked a hole in the top of my lid and attached several lengths of twine to create a few hanging tags. The tags are stickers on a semi-clear plastic backing.

The bright red chevron paper bags are perfect for teacher appreciation, too. I cut out an apple shape in the front layer and inserted a piece of printed acetate inside. I shaped a stem and leaf by hand from cardstock and used a marker to outline it. Give your favorite teacher a gift card, decorated cookie, candies, or like me, a set of colorful pens. A small clothespin clip decorated with more stickers keep them secure. One more sentiment sticker across the bottom sends the message that we appreciate our teachers!

Don't forget to say thanks to the great teachers who have helped you or your kiddos grow this year!

Stickers & Twine by Amy

Twine and clear stickers are a great combination!  Both are easy to use and both look great.  Just ask Amy Crockett…who uses this combination all the time.

Today I'm sharing a few of Amy's Twine/Stickers projects that I simply love.  First up is a little teacher gift that she made using a little paint can topped off with a lovely tag that's embellished with a Thanks sticker and some Peapod and Cappuccino Twinery Twine.  YUM!

The next project is a wonderful little tag that Amy created using images from the Silhouette store topped off with a SRM Sticker and Twinery Twine.

And the final project is a birthday card with a rainbow fringe of twine and topped off with a Fancy Sticker Sentiment.

So make sure that you have plenty of clear SRM stickers and Twinery Twine in your stash.  You'll be amazed what you can create with this winning combination!

Teacher Gifts Bags by Angi

Hello SRM fans! Angi from Twenty Five Smiles here to share something fun for teachers. Teacher Appreciation Day is coming up on May 9th. Why not make a little something to bring a smile their face.

I love SRM's embossed dots glassine bags. I layered this bag with a doily. I then placed a pencil card on top and added an Express Yourself - School sticker to the bottom. I also used one of SRM's skinny tubes and filled it with candy. I placed an apple sticker from the Calendar Companion set to the front.

You can fill the bag with a gift card or something sweet for teacher.
I hope you enjoyed my sweet little project today. Be sure to check out all of the fun products in the SRM Store!

Teacher Vinyl Gifts by Kristin Kingrey

SRM has a Facebook group called All Things SRM Vinyl and the other day I was checking it out and saw some amazing projects from one of our followers, Kristin Kingrey.  I asked Kristin to be a guest designer and she was game!

Kristen got a Cricut Explore for Christmas and she's been having a wonderful time with making all things vinyl.

Today we feature some projects that she created using wooden plaques from the Ben Franklin store in Redmond, Washington.   She's made teacher gifts and a sign for her daughter's room.  Let's take a look.

First up are teacher gifts that she made using white matte vinyl on a wooden hanging plaque.  Love the fonts and the clean look!

The second teacher gift for another lucky teacher uses a variety of colors of matte vinyl including white, turquoise, lime green and yellow.  How fun it is with the little added hearts.

And the last one has a special message for her daughter's room on a white plaque using turquoise and gold matte vinyl.  I love this one!

Thank you Kristin for sharing your vinyl craftiness with us!  We love what you do with vinyl and we look forward to seeing more projects from you on All Things Vinyl on Facebook.

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to share your craftiness with us on Flicker or in one of our Facebook Groups.  Who knows when you will be in a Friday Feature of SRM fans.

Have a crafty day!

Very Versatile Vinyl by Shannon

Hello!  Shannon here with a quick project that will help you with your crafty Christmas gifts.  I am always looking for ways to make quick, thoughtful gifts for the people in my life. I am also always looking for earth friendly,  inexpensive ways to do this as well.

This project is a good one, I promise. You can make a great little gift for a teacher, a hostess, a neighbor and it can be a gift that gets used again and again.

This is a repurposed jar. This project isn't new. I'm sure it's been done before, I'm just sharing a different way and encouraging you to do the same.  NOTE:  Be sure to clean the jar and let it dry before adding the vinyl.

Select a design of your choice, or for whatever occasion you are celebrating. The key here is simple.  I chose a one word sentiment and some branches for a Christmas themed candle holder. The vinyl is where you can add the detail. SRM has some FANTASTIC PATTERNED VINYL in a bunch of colors so you can customize in so many ways...for holidays, school colors, etc.  I used the Red and Green Dots for this project.  So festive!

Here's a view of the back, which shows you the branches that wrap around the candle holder. Pebbles or rocks are a great filler.  The candle is a small pillar candle.  Both the rocks and candle were purchased at the dollar store. The plan is to make more of these and wrap them in cellophane for teachers this year.

Thank you for letting me share with you today that sometimes less is more. I'm showing you that you can do vinyl also, especially if you find it intimidating.  This simple project is showing you that you can navigate it in small steps and master it.   So how many of these little candle holders do you need to make? :)
