Celebrate 2015 Mixed Media Card by Tessa

Hello!  It's Tessa sharing with you today!  I've created a card perfect for ringing in the new year!

Celebrate 2015 Mixed Media Card by Tessa - #2015 #card #newyears #twine #stickers

I created a bright and messy mixed media background for this one-mixing stamps from Simon Says Stamps and Tim Holtz for a fun look.  I stamped the balloons first, in bold pinks, yellows, and turquoise inks.  Next, I pulled out some paints and dabbed them on to a craft mat.  I sprayed it with water and dragged my card front through it.  It softened the balloons and gave the card a fun, messy look.  I added some splatters with a few different mists and let it all dry.

When it was dry, I stamped some stars with a silver metallic ink and the clock with a waterproof black ink.  I also added some shading around the clock with a light gray marker.  I pulled out some washi tape next and added a few strips to the bottom portion of the card front.

I cut a strip of vellum and wrapped it around my card, adhering the ends together inside with a bit of washi tape.  I adhered the 2015 strip from the Year of Memories 2015 sheet first, lining up the bottom edge of the sticker with the edge of the vellum.  The sentiment from Sticker Sentiments Congratulations came next.  I lined it up just above the 2015 strip.

To finish this card off, I wrapped some Solid Lilac Baker's Twine around the card and finished in a bow.  I added a sprinkling of sequins, too!  You gotta have a little sparkle on New Years, right? :)

Thanks for joining me today!  And here's to a wonderful new year!

Happy 2015 Card by Lorena

Hi SRM friends! Lorena here today. By now you've probably sent all your Christmas cards, but wait! There's still some time left to wish your beloved ones a Happy New Year and SRM has some awesome stickers to do that in style.
Here's a Happy 2015 card to get you started. I went for a bright color combo of gold, lime green and turquoise, because there's nothing better than starting a new year with happy colors.

I combined a patterned paper background with one of the cute year banners in the Year of Memories 2015 sticker.

I turned the sticker into a flag by adhering it to a piece of toothpick. This sticker sheet is simply fantastic. You'll find "2015" in lots and lots of different fonts and designs, which makes it perfect not only for cards, but for calendars and scrapbooking too. Great value, I tell you!

The "happy" comes from Stickers by the Dozen/Birthday Birdie. Every SRM sheet comes so jam packed with stickers that I don't feeel bad when I cut just part of one to make my custom sentiment. To add a festive "new year" touch I threw in some glittery gold embellishments and three tiny die cut stars.

I wish all the SRM fans a very happy 2015 filled with lots of love, joy, laughter, good health and all things crafty. Thanks for visiting!

Mini Calendar Star Album by Christine

You just can't go wrong with making someone a calendar for a holiday present. Just add pictures to it and you've got the perfect personalized gift to share with special family and friends.  Christine joining you today with a little Mini Calendar Star Album that I made special for one of the grandparents.

I used a cut file from former SRM design team member Jamie Cripps to create the album.  Her instructions can be found here. I love that it can easily set up on a desktop just like this! I used the Mini Calendar/Decorative 2015 stickers for my calender part.

Look how cool it is from above!  They can easily check out other months or leave it on the current one.

It folds down like this so it looks just like a normal mini album. I kept the cover simple, just adding a 2015 sticker (how is it almost 2015????).  You can get a whole selection of 2015 stickers from SRM's Year of Memories 2015 set.

I decorated each page with a month and then a picture that I punched out.  If it was there birthday month I made sure it had their picture on it, but otherwise I just went with cute pictures.  I kept each page pretty similar so that the assembly wasn't too time consuming.

Mini Calendar by Cassonda

Greetings fellow SRM Sticker fans!  Cassonda Tadlock here today.  Are you already thinking about the new year? I tend to plan things in "quarters" so I am already looking at plans for January and beyond.  I wanted to give my niece a little calendar book she can keep in the small pocket of her backpack to use at school. This "krafty" calendar is actually made from one of SRM's chevron embossed kraft bags.

Want to make one of these little cuties?  Here's how!  Using one of SRM's Embossed Chevron bags, I cut all the sides off of one of the kraft bags and then cut in half so you have 2 long strips. Accordion fold your strips so you have 6 squares on each strip.

Place your mini calendar stickers on some pretty paper (The stickers are clear so the paper shows through!), cut with a trimmer and adhere to the accordion folded strips. (I adhered the back of June and July together so the calendar would be one long strip.)

Fold the calendar up, tie a ribbon around it and add one of the Year of Memories Calendar Sticker Tags. Place it inside a decorated glassine bag for a pretty gift presentation. I used the Valentine and Birthday Birdie Stickers to decorate the front of the glassine bag.

These would make such cute stocking stuffers for your friends! I plan on creating a bunch more before Christmas. I hope this also helps you get ready for the new year!

Here's the embossed kraft bag that I used for the base of my calendar.

And here's the glassine bag that I tucked it into.

So how many of these fun little calendars do you want to make?
Thanks for stopping by!

~Cassonda~

Calendar Home Decor by Shery

Hello! Shery Russ here to share a project featuring the fun Decorative Mini Calendar Stickers. I recycled some wood and created functional home decor: a key hook rack. It's great not just for keeping keys, but for storing or organizing craft supplies that come in hang hole cello bags and even ribbons and twine.

SRM Stickers Blog - Calendar Rack Decor by Shery - #calendar #mini #sticker #2015 #decor #altered

This hook rack is 12" wide, 3" tall, and 3/4" thick. I sanded it first before decoupaging K & Company designer paper with Liquitex gel medium. I colored the edges with Prismacolor markers then sealed it with Minwax water based polyurethane. When it was dry, I added the hooks and chain (bought from The Home Depot), as well as adhered craft foam to the back.

Next, I adhered SRM's Decorative 2015 Mini Calendar Stickers on textured cardstock and trimmed. I found several packs of 3" by 4" top loaders (for protecting trading cards) in my stash and I thought they'd be perfect for holding the calendars so I cut two of those down to size and glued them to either side. I adhered a couple of '15 stickers from the Year of Memories 2015 onto those as well. I decorated the middle of the hook rack with some Black Sticker Stitches and one of the sentiments in the Express Yourself Everyday sheet. And it's done!

Here are the stickers I used in my project.

Mini calendar stickers from SRM Stickers are so fun to use! Hope my project has inspired you to create something with these cool stickers. 2015 is just around the corner :o)

Poppies Mini Calendar Tutorial by Cathy A.

Poppies seem to pop up everywhere in craft projects, so why not on a calendar!

This project was created by Cathy Andronicou using SRM's Mini Calendar standardSticker Stitches ChristmasYear Of Memories 2015  and a small Glassine Bag that measures 2 3/4" x 4 1/4".

Here's a list of the other materials used: Penny Black Field of Dreams & Feather & Frames dies, Blooming Garden Stamp set, Chameleon Alcohol pens Chrimson Red, Black and Olive Green, Spellbinders Labels Eight, Dainty Dots Embossing Folder and Classic Squares LG & SM, Sizzix Small Easel Die and Circle Paddle Punch, Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko Memento dual tip markers, Rhubarb Stalk, Tuxedo Black and Bamboo Leaves, Green, Red & White card stock

And here are the step by step instructions on how to create this wonderful little calendar gem:

1) Cut 4 white pieces of card labels Eight, then cut squares (using 3 1/4", 2 3/4",2 1/4" dies) from three of the labels on the right hand side to create frame and holder for calendar.

2) Cut a square frame (using 3 1/4" and 2 3/4" dies) from red card to fit into the labels eight base.  Apply white sticker stitches to each side of frame.  Then adhere all three cut labels to the base, add in the red and white frames and cut a circle in the centre of the frame (this will allow you to easily remove and change the calendar each month). Cut the easel mechanism and trim down to fit on the back of the calendar.

3) Cut 6 2 1/4" squares from green card and apply mini calendar stickers to each side.

4) Cut the Glassine bag top using the feather and frames die and emboss with dainty dots.  Adhere to back of calendar and put spare months into the pocket.

5) Cut Poppy from pearl card and colour with alcohol pens, then ink stamp with memento markers and stamp over the top of the coloured die cut to add texture to the poppies. Adhere to front of calendar with glue at base and foam pads on the flowers and seed pods (this will add more dimension to the project). Attach the year sticker and you are done!

Do you love creating hand crafted gifts for Christmas or Birthday presents?  Make multiples of this fabulous calendar and give them to your friends and family!  You can change the theme and color scheme on each calendar so no 2 are exactly alike!  Thank you Cathy for this wonderful project!  I'm sure that lots of our friends and fans will be CASing this calendar!

Framed Mini Calendar by Roberta

Calendars make the most wonderful gifts and today we have a calendar created by Roberta Rosi that is reusable and can be used year after year as a wall calendar.  All you have to do is replace the month and the year with SRM's Mini Calendar stickers!

SRM Stickers Blog - Framed Mini Calendar by Roberta - #calendar #mini #stickers #twine #2015

As a base, Roberta used a square canvas about measuring about 8" x 8".  She covered the back with some white cardboard.

Roberta then covered a white cardboard square with a variety of solid Twinery twine colors creating a rainbow.

She then glued it to the center of the canvas.

On the twine covered cardboard, Roberta flied a small wooden clothespin to attach the months.  She put the months on white cardstock to make them rigid.

Roberta then decorated the canvas with the days of the week and some small wooden circles.  On one of them she placed a '15 sticker from SRM's 2015 Year of Memories.

The months of the year will are easily replaced month to month.

The base of the calendar can be used year to year.

What a great gift idea!  Thanks Roberta for this fabulous calendar.  You've inspired us!
