Little Purse & Card by Yvonne

Yvonne Yam loves SRM's small clear purses.  She decided to make a Gift Set decorating the purse and creating a matching card.  

She started with the small clear purse from SRM.



First she embossed the gift bag then covered the front and back with some Graphic 45 patterned paper. Then she adhered some SRM Fancy Borders from the Fancy Happy Birthday Sentiment sheet. Yvonne applied some PearlEx all over for a shimmering effect. And as a finishing touch, she added some pearls and twine.

On her card base Yvonne first embossed the card stock.  She then added the patterned paper. She adhered the Fancy Happy Birthday Sentiment and decorative fancy border, added a layer of PearlEx to create the shimmering effect matching the gift bag and added pearls to coordinate with her purse.

Here's the Fancy Birthday Sticker Sentiment she used on both the purse and the card.

And here's a look at the gift set.  So beautiful!

Thanks Yvonne for all the inspiration!  What a great idea to make some of these sets in advance and tuck them away for little birthday treats. 

Mixed Media Card by Michelle

Michelle Giraud loves card making and mixed media.  So for her parent's anniversary she made them this beautiful mixed media card using SRM's Stickers by the Dozen Wedding.  The background on her card is made using watercolor paper and Ranger Distress Watercolor Makers. Michelle simply doodled on the paper and spritzed with water until the colors blended together.  

This card format works well with any of the images from SRM's Stickers by the Dozen designs because the circles are the perfect size for a flower center.  Michelle used a magazine to stamp out the flower petals, then colored them with watercolors as well.  

The mini sentiment strip with all the virtues of a great marriage is also works perfectly along the bottom of the card.  

What a beautiful card!  And here's the sticker that Michelle used to create it.  As you can see, she has lots of images and sentiments left over to create other beautiful cards relating to love!

Christmas Card Set by Shelly

Shelly Kurth has created a set of quick and easy coordinated Christmas cards using SRM's Stickers by the Dozen Gingerbread Man and Christmas Sticker Stitches.  How totally fun!  I love the colors and the minimalist design that Shelly uses.

Using this 1 sheet of Stickers by the Dozen and 1 sheet of Christmas Sticker Stitches, Shelly can create at least 12 cards!

Shelly's Gingerbread men playfully dance on tags tied with red and green twine.  Love the "Holiday Cheer" sentiment mounted on a bright red banner.  And the white Sticker Stitches are just the right finishing touch.

This card uses the same pieces but is constructed in a different configuration.  

Card #3 in this playful set has our Gingerbread man dangling in the middle of the card.

What a fun set of cards and Shelly can make at least 8 more.  She's got a great start on creating her Christmas Cards for this year.  

These cards work great for an 'assembly line' process.  Want to make them too?  Here are step by step instructions.  

1. Take banner die, red cardstock and 'cut' them.

2. Add sentiment to banner. Set aside.

3. Take tag template, white cardstock and cut them. 

4. Take tag and loop twine through the hole. 

5.  Add gingerbread sticker to tag. Set aside.

6. Now take base card and figure out where you wanna place the tag at. 

7. After, Take stitches and cut them to the length you want and place on card.

8. Add foam squares to back of tag and place over the stitches.

9. Take banner and add foam squares and place on tag.

And here's a list of supplies you will need:

Card Stock - Red, White, Lime Green

Twine - The Twinery (Peapod & Maraschino)

SRM Stickers - Christmas Stitches & Stickers by the Dozen- Gingerbread Man 

Banner die - Spellbinders (Ribbon banners- #S4-324)

Tag  - Use template or punch of your choice.

Non Stop Tee by Ann

Ann Molvik loves to knit for her family.  She has 5 children and they all have lots of beautiful sweaters, vests and novelty knitted items like headbands and toys.  

Today Ann shares with us a "Non Stop Tee" that she knitted for her daughter Lillian.  Ann used Lilac Twine from The Twinery and this little sweater is adorable!  The Non Stop Tee is knitted in one piece, without breaking yarn.  It is flexible in size and can just as well be worn inside out, so toddlers and small children can easily dress themselves.

Lillian loves her knitted tee!  Can you tell? 

Ann's girls love the Twinery's Lilac Purple.  It's their favorite color!

And by the way, the twine is 100% cotton and washes up beautifully.  Doing a lot of knitting for her children, Ann wants a fiber that washes up nicely.  With an active girl like Lillian, this tell will be getting many washings!

Project Life by Latrice

Welcome to Day #3 of our Project Life feature.  Project Life has taken over the scrapbooking world by storm and Latrice Murphy just loves the creating process of adding memorabilia and little bits to those pockets to make it a truly special layout. Latrice uses her Project Life as a photo a day family album. There are weeks when she finds that there aren't enough pictures, but Latrice never stresses. Project Life Gift Set Tutorial by Roberta Rosi

For the next few days we are going to share some fun and fabulous ideas for Project Life.Today we are treating you to a PL Tutorial from Roberta Rosi.  For this post Roberta made a set of cards to use in Project Life.  She created these as a gift.  Love this idea.  So sit back and relax and enjoy Roberta's step by step instructions. 

Roberta started with 5 sheets of Becky Higgins Project-Life patterned papers. She cut them in the three classic formats used for Project Life: 4 x 6,  6 x 4 and 3 x 4 making 10 cards for each format.  She then rounded the corners on all cards using a 1/2" corner punch. 

Next, Roberta started decorating the first six cards (4 x 6) with SRM Stickers including the Snappy Months small and Black Sticker Stitches, adding some strips of paper, hearts, butterflies and buttons.  Roberta created cards for January through June.

Roberta did the same with the other six cards (6 x4) using the same stickers and embellishments for the other 6 months of the year, decorating a total of 12 cards, one for each month of the year!

Finally, she decorated the remaining six small cards (3 x 4) with the SRM Sticker Sentiments, Life is Good design, Black Sticker Stitches and paper embellishments.

Roberta now has a total of 30 cards (18 of which are decorated) which are ready to be packed!  

She tied them together with Twinery Charcoal Twine.  

Then she folded and tied with twine SRM's Mini Calendar stickers.

She packed everything in a 5 x 7 1/2" SRM Kraft bag. 

Now her PL cards are ready to be used as gift!! 

What a fabulous idea!
