Bible Journaling by Christine

I'm back at it and ready for a fresh new year in Bible Journaling - how about you!?!  I love that there are no rules in Bible Journaling, you can just create and dabble to your hearts content! For today's share I did A LOT of dabbling!  Christine joining you with a piece based on Ephesians 2:8 "For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God."

I have been watching lots of videos of talented artists drawing their own flowers and I decided to dabble in that for this project! My Black Le Pen was perfect for the doodling part!  I knew I could use my stamps from SRM (Amazing Grace & Trust in the Lord) for little flowers in combination with doodling to create a fun background.

For each style of flower that I did I used a single color from my collection of WaterColor Pencils.  I colored and then used a blending pen to spread the color and give it that pretty watercolor look.

I also wanted to play with masking on this project.  I cut a sheet the same size as my original and then folded it in half and cut out a tilted heart.  I then layed that over the top of my original and started stamping "Grace" over and over until I filled it. The word "Grace" came from the BIG Amen set. Lastly I traced my heart again using my Le Pen to make it stand out a little bit more.  I love how this ended up looking and most importantly I had a fun time making it!

Pray Card by Amber

Hello everyone! It's Amber here, today I have this fun little religious themed card to share featuring two of SRM's newest Bible Journaling stamp sets. I love how these stamps can be used to create a variety of different projects and the sentiments are perfect for mixing and matching to create different verses or expressions. Today I show you how to mix two different sentiments from two different sets to create a fun little card.

I started with an A2 sized white card base and adhered a slightly smaller piece of patterned paper to the front. When starting this card I wasn't sure which sentiments I wanted to use so I quickly went through my stamp collection and found this cute little praying angel from Cornish Heritage Farms and decided pair it with the large "pray" sentiment from SRM's BIG Amen stamp set and the "with god all things are possible" sentiment from SRM"s Amazing Grace stamp set. I stamped the two sentiments and angel image in black ink directly onto the piece of patterned paper that covered my card base. On a separate piece of white cardstock I stamped my angel image, colored her with some Spectrum Noir markers, fussy cut her, and adhered her to my card front right over the first
image I stamped.

For the upper half of my card I die cut another piece of patterned paper with a stitched border die, tied and wrapped some lace ribbon around it, and adhered the entire piece to my card front. I hope you enjoyed my little card today. Thanks for visiting!

Brush Lettering Bookmarks by Christine

Hello!  Christine here sharing something I made.  Last week as I was doing our homeschool routine with the kids, I realized I needed some bookmarks to help me keep track of where we were at in books.  Why not make those bookmarks inspirational!?! And why not make them myself and have fun doing it!?!  That is of course where SRM came in!  I combined a couple of the new Marker Sets and Bible Journaling stamps to create some lovely bookmarks!

I created a video showing how I made a couple of these bookmarks!

I don't talk too much about how to do the brush lettering in the video but Susan has a great video that she recently created showcasing that!

Let's take a closer look at the bookmarks I made:

This first one uses the stamp set Amazing Grace and focuses on the verse Psalm 46:10 and the flowers come from Just Believe.

This one uses an older stamp set Words of Faith and focuses on Psalm 107:1 - the butterfly stamp comes from Just Believe and the little flower comes from Amazing Grace.

Everything on this bookmark comes from the Amazing Grace stamp set and it focuses on Matthew 28:20.

Last up I used the Trust in the Lord stamp set and focuses on 1 Thessalonians 5:18

These are going to be great reminders as I go about my day to day work!

I Am With You Bible Journaling by Samantha

Hello!  Samantha here today to share some Bible Journaling with you.  I often Bible journal from notes I've taken from Sunday's sermon, but sometimes ideas come to me in other ways. Just recently my Amazing Grace Bible journaling stamp set was sitting next to my Today, Tomorrow, To Do planner stamp set, and I saw the "I am with you always" stamp from Amazing Grace and thought it would be really fun on a page with the "today" and "tomorrow" stamps from the planner set. Thus this I Am With You Bible journaling page popped into my mind.

I like to build my background first. I started with some Marvy Color In watercolor pencils. I colored a big swatches of color, and the went over the whole page with the Marvy Color In Water Brush. This helps blend the color and gives the whole page a softer feel.

After my page dried, I went back and stamped "today" and "tomorrow" from the Today, Tomorrow, To Do planner stamp set in coordinating colors. I left a blank space right in the center so I could stamp "I am with you always" from the Amazing Grace Bible journaling stamp set in black ink.

I felt that my main thought needed a bit more pop, so I grabbed my watercolor pencils again and colored in a few of the letters. I also used a little dot stamp from the Big Trinity stamp set to underline always.

I like to add little tabs to each of my decorated pages in my Bible, so I finished the page of with a little red tab. I used a "remember" sticker from the Planner Icon sticker sheet to label my tab. I'd love to hear where your inspiration for your Bible journaling comes from!

Amazing Grace by Tanya

Are you ready for another wonderful day meeting our new design team members?  I am!  Today we feature Tanya Adams who is new to our team.  What a talent!

Here's a bit about Tanya in her own words:

Hello!  my name is Tanya Adams and I am very exited to a new member of the SRM Stickers Design Team!I live in Southeast Alabama with my sweet hubby of 36 years.  We have two adult sons, 4 beautiful grandchildren and a very spoiled Yorkie named Lola.  I am also part of our Children's Ministry Team at my church and I love working the kids and sharing the word of God with them.  I have been crafting in some shape, form or fashion as long as
I can remember and I'm really happy to be working with Susan and her talented Design Team.
-----------------

Hello everyone!  Tanya here with a simple, but meaningful card to share with you today.

Sometimes a simple sentiment can say so much. Especially when it is a purposeful sentiment like this one from the Amazing Grace Clear Stamp Set. I love the beautiful, bold fonts used in this set.

I wanted the focus of this card to be the sentiment so I created a simple inked background.  The church was created with my Silhouette and my only embellishment is a few clear sequins.

Amazing Grace. That really says it all, doesn't it?
Thank you for stopping by today and see you soon!
