Gift Card Holders by Aimee

Aimee Kidd wanted to create unique, individualized gift card holders for her niece and nephew this year so she created stocking-shaped cards to fit their personalities;

Aimee punched a hole in the upper right hand corners (under the flowers) and added brads so they swivel open to reveal a pocket to hold the gift card.

The card sentiments come from our Happy Holidays Sticker Sentiement Set - a must-have for the holiday season!

Cards by Valerie

Cardstock, SRM Stickers, and a bit of twine are all it took to bring these cards by Valerie Mangan to life!  Can you see how the crystal clear stickers blend perfectly into the cardstock, regardless of the color?  Love that!

The polaroid-style die cut frames are the perfect backdrop for the sticker sentiments and images. Thank you, Valerie! If you're looking for gift card holder ideas for the holiday, stop by tomorrow to see the ADORABLE card holders that Aimee cooked up!

Desktop Calendar by Carolyn

Carolyn King created a super fun desktop calendar that would be treasured by any recipient!

Carolyn says, "I added monthly stickers to patterned paper then added a velcro circle on the back so that you can change-out the months. The desk stand is made from a decorated spool and a dowel, inserted through the center that supports the decorated chipboard house."

Clean & Simple Christmas by Jan

Jan Tatomir is here with a group of clean and simple (and stunning!) cards using cardstock, stickers, embellishments, and a bit of bling. Jan says, "Using a kraft base and white panel with just a pop of color, I created these 3 Christmas cards, each with a wooden embellishment. I added bling to the star for a little shine and pearls to the snowflake and tree. A Christmas border sticker adorns the bottom of each card with sentiments from the border set and the We've Got Your Sticker Merry set."

Love the dimension of these cards, Jan! Join us tomorrow for a very cool desktop calendar by Carolyn!

Crafting with Kids; Ornaments

Here's a fun project to do with the little ones - handmade ornaments!

I purchased plain, plastic, clear ornaments (didn't want to use glass with little hands), removed the metal toppers and put them in the middle of the craft table along with my bucket of acrylic paint bottles. My children chose two - three paint colors for each ornament. They dripped the paints into the ornaments, covered the hole, then shook them a bit until the inside of the ornaments were covered in paint swirls;

I then positioned the ornaments upside down on dixie cups for a few days while they drained and dryed. I added coordinating bows to each ornament using heavy duty glue.

My girls then packaged them in clear bags, added SRM to/from labels, twine, more ribbon, and a jingle bell;

SRM labels were perfect for this project;

Guest Designer; Tessa Buys

Tessa Buys

I am a happy crafter, wife and mother living in Northern California. When not fulfilling those roles, you can find me teaching at the dance studio. I have been a huge fan of SRM Stickers for a couple of years now, and was blessed to be a member of the 2011 Design Team. I still pull out my SRM Stickers for just about every project, whether it be altered art, SMASHbooking, scrapbooking, cardmaking, or creating party decor. I love how versatile and easy-to-use the stickers and other products are. I am a devoted SRM gal for life!

I fell in love with the mini calendars the moment I saw them. I knew at once that I wanted to make some sort of calendar for my home, but I wasn't sure what to alter. I found a chalkboard in an old house that was being remodeled. When thinking of how to make it functional again, I realized it would make a fabulous calendar. I embellished shipping tags with papers, wood veneer birds, feathers and doilies, then topped each one with a mini calendar. I adhered the tags to the chalkboard and then embellished the chalk tray with flowers. Now my vintage chalkboard will keep me up to date :).

Thank you, Tessa, beautiful work as always! You can see more from Tessa at her Blog, Precocious Paper.

Mini Coin Envelope Album by Amy

Amy Duff created a mini coin envelope album for a dear friend to keep track of special dates and birthdays. She used pull-out tags and bound it to carry inside a purse. Amy used 6 No. 1 coin envelopes with patterned paper and punched circles on the ends. She cut and covered two chipboard pieces for the covers and bound the album together.

Here's a look at the tags;

Our Mini Calendar Stickers were absolutely perfect for this project! What a wonderful little treasure. Have a great weekend, see you next week with more brand new paper crafts from our amazing Design Team!
