Spring Semester by Valerie

Valerie Mangan is here to share a layout she created using SRM Mini Calendar Stickers, along with our school stickers. Valerie says, "SRM stickers are so versatile and the calendar stickers are no exception. For this layout I used Mini Calendars (Standard & Decorative) as a background element. I selected the first 5 months of the year because they represent the months of my Spring semester at school, the subject of my page."

"Then I got busy layering on additional elements, including stickers from the Express Yourself Graduation & School sheets to reinforce the theme. I added these as pennants under my main title. I also used the word "Spring" from the Live Life Calendar Year sheet as part of the title. My journaling is tucked into that glassine envelope behind the title and talks about my fear of going back after being gone so long."

Guest Designer; Nina Brackett

I'm a Filipino-American who now calls beautiful Croatia home, which I share with my wonderful husband and 3 girly girls. I was delighted to discover that my love for paper crafting could extend beyond card making into product design a few years ago. I have had the awesome privilege to work with some amazing companies as an illustrator/designer. I currently work as a product designer for Penny Black, Inc., The Craft's Meow, Want2Scrap, and Spellbinder Paper Arts, where I have my own licensed die designs. I have also been honored to have my work published in several leading craft magazines. I am drawn to the soft, feminine and vintage style, but with simplicity in mind. I call my style “simple shabby". I regularly share my artwork and news about my designs and Croatian life on my blog, Crafting in Croatia.

A Word about SRM: I was introduced to SRM Stickers in 2010 when I applied for their DT position and was surprised to have been selected. It has been a wonderful few years getting to play with the BEST stickers in the industry. I especially love the Fancy Sticker Sentiment collection, the We've Got Your Sticker collection (especially the sentiments in white) and the new We've Got Your Border collections (I can't get enough of those cute banners and sentiments). As a busy mom of 3, I do not usually spend more than 30 minutes on a card. And the SRM stickers sure help me make something fast without sacrificing quality.

I am so thankful that I have made such wonderful friendships through my work with SRM. Knowing the wonderful people behind this amazing company makes SRM products even more special to and loved by me. I want to thank the SRM family (Susan, John, Laura, Jenyfur, and the many others behind the scenes) for making my world more colorful, one sticker at a time. :)

You are my Sunshine by Carolyn

Carolyn King assembled a sweet Summer gift tube and coordinating card. Here's what she had to say about her project; "I decided to make a cute "pick me up" set. I always loved the "You are my Sunshine" expression and I think it would brighten anyone's day to get a card and treat tube with that sentiment."

"For the treat part, I used a skinny tube and altered it by using a chipboard shape I had lying around (Little Yellow Bicycle) and adding the sentiment up the trunk. I added a heart shaped button to mimic the cinnamon hearts I filled the tube with."

"For the card, I altered a silhouette shape I found for the sun beams then framed the sentiment in a sun shape and stitched around it. I used SRM Sticker Sentiments- Summer (#51011)."

Guest Designer; Teri Anderson

Hi! I’m Teri! I am a 30-something maker of all things paper related from out West! Cards, scrapbook pages, tags… you name it, I’m there. I make something nearly every single day. I’m a Go-to gal for Paper Crafts Magazine, and I’m on a number of design teams. I spent a good chuck of last year teaching at conventions around the country for Technique Tuesday. I was also lucky to teach for Paper Crafts magazine in the Caribbean as part of their paper crafting cruise last Fall. When I’m not making stuff, I’m going spending time with family, friends and two fluffy dogs. I am going to concerts, taking pictures and planning my next road trip.

I’ve been a fan of SRM Stickers for, gosh, years now. They are perfect for adding a special sentiment with a professional touch to cards. I also dig SRM Stickers because stickers are something every single crafter can use, whether they are a newbie or a seasoned veteran. They are practical and good for everyone.

Summer Mini Album by Amy

Amy Duff assembled a Summer mini album using tags and journal brackets along with lots of stickers and fun photos. Amy says, "I used stickers from Express Yourself #42039 Water Fun, Sticker Sentiments #51011 Summer, and We've got Your Border #57002 Birthday. I like using various shapes to create the unique shape. This mini was easy so much fun to complete using a few scraps of paper and tags plus a couple of sticker sheets. I hope my daughter likes it." We know she will!

Organize Your Cards...by Liz

Liz Weber used our popular Mini Calendar Stickers to create an organizational project for card makers. Liz says, "I have been wanting to create a special birthday card organisation system for a long time and have had this magzine file project "filed away" for sometime. These birthday cards are to give to the special people in our lives and this system helps me keep track and be prepared with enough cards for each month." Framed Print by Jamie

Welcome! We're so glad you stopped by today. We have a lot lined up this week, starting off with a lovely project from Jamie. Jamie Cripps spotted a family framed print on Pinterest and decided to try her hand at creating a keepsake to document her family's birthdays and her wedding day. Jamie created this piece in a hybrid format, designing most of it digitally then printing it out and adding We've Got Your Number stickers.
