Marvy Permanent Markers; Amy Crockett

Welcome back! Amy Crockett is here today with her projects using new Marvy LePlume Permanent Markers. Keep in mind that these markers are BRAND NEW and alcohol-based, not water-based as Marvy's previous markers. They are comparable to Copics - they blend, absorb without pilling your cardstock, and are amazing markers for only $2.99 each.

Amy says; I have always loved stamping and I just started coloring with some of the more expensive alcohol markers a year ago. I then received the new Marvy LePlume permanant markers to try and I found that their colors were beautiful, vibrant and easy to work with. They blend just as well as the more expensive markers and the ink went on very evenly to make shading and blending easy. I only use the brush tip when I color with markers, so I didn’t miss the chisel tip at all. I would highly recommend these markers to anyone who would like to try coloring with markers, or even for those who would like to add to their marker collection without paying so much.

Marvy LePlume Permanent Markers; Day 1

Welcome back to the SRM Stickers Blog. We are thrilled to bring a multiple day Marvy Feature to you. We're spotlighting one of Marvy's newest and hottest products, Marvy LePlume Permanent Markers. If you've ever wanted to try your hand at coloring with alcohol-based markers, or you're looking for a less expensive alternative to your current collection of markers, at $2.99 each, you just can't go wrong with LePlumes.

Marvy LePlume Permanent Markers are available in 141 colors, have a brush tip, they're inky, and so easy to use. We asked several SRM current and former Designers to give them a try. Here are my projects using LePlume Markers and SRM Stickers. I used some of my favorite supplies; Cosmo Cricket paper, rubber stamps, hand-stitching, new SRM Christmas stickers, and of course my new Marvy markers. Be sure to scroll down to the end of this post to read about our giveaway!

Birthday Keeper

Melanie Jarocki used our new Mini Calendar Sickers to create a birthday reminder calendar for 2012.

Here's what she has to say; I made a set of monthly cards to fit inside of a tin. On the back of each month is the list of family birthdays (grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins, siblings) for that month. My kids are always asking me who has birthdays each month, so I thought this would be a fun way to show them. We can use it as a game as well, quizzing each other on family birthdays.

Fun project! Join us tomorrow for more Back to School projects. Also, be sure to hop over to our Facebook FanPage every day for more inspiration from the SRM Stickers Design Team as well as from our readers! You can load your SRM projects into our Gallery for everyone to enjoy.

Tube Ideas

We have a few ideas for using our Tubes today... First up is Tanya Tahir with a pair of adorable thank-you tubes that she filled with marshmallows. Tags with chipboard, hand-rolled flowers, and SRM Thank You stickers finish off her sweet little Tubes.

You can view/purchase our Tubes and Wands, HERE. We make gobs of Thank-You stickers that you can see, HERE!

Renee Morris-Dezember found yet another way to use our Tubes for scrappy storage. Here's what she says; "In my scraproom I like to have things organized but with scrap stuff there's always TONS of little items EVERYWHERE. I use LOTS of baskets when it comes to organizing but I found that I was still having a hard time finding things. Then I discovered the TUBES and they are perfect for storing my scrapbook supplies. Here I just have some of my buttons - my doodlebug boutique buttons and my vintage glass buttons. By placing the tubes inside my baskets, everything is perfectly organized and I know how to find each color! I did the same thing with my doodlebug crushed velvet flock. I placed the little flock jars inside the TUBE and then tucked them inside my basket. Now they will never be misplaced again!"
