Holiday Tags by Shannon

We love Shannon Morgan's unique shabby style - she did a great job with our Labels by the Dozen to create a collection of creative holiday tags using only cardstock, stickers, fibers/ribbons, mists, and her trusty doodling pens;

Aimee is here tomorrow with a totally CASEable set of holiday cards you won't want to miss!

Stickered Bow Tutorial by Christine

Christine Ousley is here is with a fun way to give a gift card. It looks like a gift bag and when you open it up, a gift card slides into view;

"The front of my gift bag is decorated with SRM Stickers We've Got Your Borders, Christmas. The borders are probably my hands-down, favorite sticker sheet. I can think of a million ways to use them. I wish I had a million of them! On the bottom, I used a small strip of the "tis the season sentiment" and a little green ric rac. I copied the design on the top of the bag as well with my bow and band."

"The band on top slides off so that you can open the gift bag and when you do, the gift card slides into view. In this picture, I took the gift card out so that you could see how I adhered a green to/from label from Labels By the Dozen Christmas to the slider so that you are able to write a message."

"Here is a picture of what it looks like when a gift card is inside. This fabulous gift card bag is a digital cut file so they are so easy to make. A lot of my family members are going to be receiving one of these this year."

"Now I'm going to show you how I made the bow. The first step is to actually make your sticker, not sticky anymore. That way when you make the loops they won't stick together. Just rub some baby powder on the back with your finger until the stickiness is gone. You can clean the front of the sticker with a damp cloth if the powder if needed."

"Cut your border sticker into two pieces and fold each side into the middle. You will need to put a little adhesive on the ends to keep it together. Glue dots work well."

"Here you can see that I have finished one loop and I'm starting on the second. You will need a total of four loops."

"Layer each loop, all four of them, on top of each other, adhering them together as you go. This picture just shows two but the others will go on top vertically and horizontally so that you fill the gaps."

"The last step is to put a cute centerpiece in the middle of your bow. I chose to use the Santa face from We've Got Your Sticker Merry. I punched a circle out of red patterned paper using a 1 1/4 inch circle punch and then stuck Santa on a piece of white paper and punched him out using a 1 inch circle punch."

What an adorable embellishment that can be created using any of our border stickers! Thank you, Christine!

Carolyn's Haunted House

Caroyn King spotted wooden birdhouses at her local craft store and thought they'd be great as altered Halloween decorations. She removed a few elements (the bird perch, the door and columns) then painted the house with black acrylic paint. Carolyn then covered portions of the house with patterned paper and set to work decorating it with SRM stickers;

What a fun project, and a perfect Halloween activity to do with children! Thanks, Carolyn! It's not too late to pick up Halloween stickers for your spooky layouts...visit our online store and check out our huge selection. Still looking for Halloween project inspiration, click HERE!

Mini Calendar Book by Liz

Liz Weber created a mini calendar project that she hopes to duplicate for special gifts this holiday season. Liz used our Decorative Mini Calendar Stickers;

Liz says, "I glued the white ribbon bow to a yellow rubber band which fits around the album perfectly. If I had velcro dots on hand I would have used them instead, to secure the mini calendar book, but the rubber band works quite well! The mini calendar book dimensions are 3" x 2 3/4" and was fun and quick to make. This is just perfect for handbags, school bags/pencil cases or even leaving by the phone or computer so you can quickly and easily look up important dates."

Sports Tubes by Jamie

Looking for a unique Christmas stocking stuffer this year? Here's Jamie Cripps with a fun idea to create tubes that hold sport tickets!

Jamie says, "On each tube, I added two border stickers then tied a bow toward the bottom. I then placed the labels on white cardstock and trimmed around them and used a foam square to hold each to the appropriate tube. I finished the tubes off by adding a metal rim tag with baker's twine and adhering the Christmas tree sticker in the center of each."

Advent Calendar by Carolyn

Carolyn King went above and beyond with her advent calendar assignment! Feast your eyes on this wonderfully interactive holiday calendar!

Carolyn says, "For my advent calendar, I created a "Countdown to Santa" wall hanging. I wanted to keep the supply list fairly simple so I used one paper collection, twine, and SRM stickers. The base of the calendar is a tray that I covered with paper. I covered the handle with twine and I added SRM sentiment strips along the top of the paper. I used craft tins that I found at my local craft store to serve as treat holders. I actually adhered these directly to the tray so that you can only remove the lid. I thought it might be easier than velcro as far as long term durability. (My son would tear them right off if he knew candy was involved and I doubt they would survive more than one holiday!)"

"Each tin is embellished with stickers and paper from the same collection and then I added the SRM We've Got Your Number-Large stickers to each tin for each day."

"I added other SRM stickers onto some of the tins (for example, the "Jolly" on the 3rd, the "Happy" on the 10th, the "Merry" on the 13th and "Joy" on the 19th. They are all from the Say It with Stickers - Christmas sheet."

"Here is how the tins work...you just lift the lid of the day you are on and take out the treat (or, in our case, the slip of paper that tells you where to look for a clue; I leave clues all around the house leading up to the final spot that is the treat!) The kids really look forward to finding the hidden surprise!"

How inspirational, Carolyn, thank you!

Thanksgiving by Valerie

Valerie Mangan took her Thanksgiving project assignment to new heights with a lovely assortment of holiday decorations, dinner invitations, a centerpiece, and place cards. Valerie says, "Thanksgiving is always a big deal in our house and we usually feed a group of about 10-15. I put my stash of SRM Stickers to work to make these fun Thanksgiving feast decorations."

"For the goody bag, I used Labels by The Dozen and 'Quick Card' stickers to embellish the cardstock insert. It holds a packet of mulling spices and cinnamon sticks in an embellished tube. (Simmered in a pot, these items will make a house smell amazing!)"

"The centerpiece is a simple cylindrical canning jar covered with patterned paper." Love all the festive banners!

"For my invitation, I embossed the turkey and 'Happy Thanksgiving' at the bottom. A 'You're Invited' sticker serves as the detail area and it's embellished with some 'Express Yourself' and 'Quick Card' stickers."

"The place card is folded with a little ledge area to hold the name."

"Inside the card is a dated, lined journaling area where my guest can write something they are thankful for this year. I hope to save these all in an album."

What a wonderful way to add a homemade touch to the holiday. You can see our Thanksgiving products HERE. Pick up your Thanksgiving and Christmas stickers today!
