Crocheted Polka Dot Bib by Ann

Today I'm sharing with you a simple polka dot bib created with twine by Ann Molvik.  It's a perfect, practical gift for a new baby.  This project was featured on the Knit & Crochet Today show.

This adorable bib is easy, fun and fast to crochet.  Ann's son Nathanial is her model!  The twine used is very durable and will hold up to repeated washings.  The bib is a great size, really keeping baby covered!

The bib requires 150 yeards of the main color (Shore Baby Blue) and about 50 yards of the contrasting color, (Buttercream), depending on the size of the polka dot.

And HERE is the pattern Ann used to create this bib.  Too, too cute!

Have you tried crocheting with twine yet?  We'd love to see your creations.  Just post them on our Flickr and you might see yourself featured on our Facebook.

Sweet Friend Kraft Bag by Corri

Corri Garza LOVES Kraft and Glassine bags from SRM. They make such a quick and easy way to create an adorable gift wrap.

Corri trimmed her patterned paper to 1-1/2"h x 5-1/8"w.  She used her Silhouette Cameo and some shapes from Lori Whitlock including a 4" doily, a 2 1/4" Scalloped Circle and a banner for the "Sweet Friend" sentiment.

She then applied stickers from the We've got your Sticker Plus - Strawberry sheet and finished off her bag my folding the top down, punching two holes and tying it with with a navy blue satin ribbon.  Easy peasy and a perfect way to say hello to any friend.

Here's the sticker Corri used.

Just think!  You can create 4 of these adorable bags from just one sticker!  4 Kraft Bags + 1 Sticker = 4 Treat Bags in a snap!

Flickr Fabulousness

It's been crazy busy lately but recently I took time to look at some of the many amazing posts on the SRM Flickr.  There are now almost 6,500 posts from friends, fans and design team members past, present and future!  There are so many types of projects so I decided to share just a few.

A super happy SRM TUBE from Allie Gower, who may just be SRM's #1 Fan.  Our Flickr is filled with her playful projects.  What a talent!

A fun and fabulous pair of SRM Glassine Bags from former Design Team member Aimee Kidd.  YUM!  Aimee just keeps on using her SRM.  I think she's hooked!

A mixed media wine bottle gift wrap from Erin Thiem.  Love all the layers and textures and the "I Love You" Fancy Sticker Sentiment from SRM is just the right touch.

A "Thanks" card made to perfection by former Design Team member Tenia Nelson.  She has got it goin' on and she just can't stop using her SRM.  SRM appears on so many of Tenia's classy cards.

Another project from Allie Gower who simply loves her SRM and can't seem to stop creating! :)  How fun is this?  Life is Good SRM sentiment + moustaches + donuts = Delicousness!

Danni Robeson loves her SRM Happy Birthday Borders and they are great for decorating this festive mini album.

And last but not least is a wonderful Project Life page from Bree Tetz.  She loves to sprinkle SRM Stickers on each an every page.  Love how the clear stickers go right down on the photos!

WOW!  Lots of inspiration on our Flickr.  I'm impressed with all the different kinds of projects that you can find there.  If you would like to be featured, be sure to add some of your SRM creations to our Flickr and see if you don't appear on our Facebook or even on our Blog!

Triplets! 3 Baby Cards by Roberta

Roberta Rosi has created 3 beautiful cards with a baby theme.  Instead of a trio of cards, let's call them triplets! :)  Roberta used lots of delicious Bazzill Basics card stock, some dainty white vellum that she embossed, SRM's Baby Sticker Sentiments and some SRM Sticker Stitches.

Roberta used just 3 of the sentiments from this SRM sheet and can make at least 25 more cards.  The clear Sticker Sentiments are a fabulous product and a must in any card maker's stash!

Such sweet cards.  Simple yet sensational!

What a great idea to make multiples of baby cards to have ready for the next blessed arrival!

For her third card, Roberta used a sweet yellow heart in the center of her punched white circle and used a mini "precious baby" sentiment from her sticker sheet.

How perfect is this?  Note to self:  Must CASE this card for sure!

Love the great ideas that our design team dreams up.  What a great team, where you can find great ideas 5 days a week, every week.  Now that's amazing!

Container Fun by Angi

Angi Barrs loves gifting!  She has so many crafty friends and likes to send them some "happy mail".  Today we share with you one of her gift sets.

First Angi created a friendly "hello" mini card using SRM's Hello Quick Card.

She used 2 of the 3 pieces of the Quick Card and still has a "thinking of you" sentiment to use on another project.

Then Angi decorated one of SRM's medium clear Pillow boxes to coordinate with her card and enclosed some delicious twine from The Twinery .  The birdie is from SRM's We've Got Your Sticker Plus.  She knows that this little crafty gift will bring a smile to someone's face. :)

Pair the two together and you've got a fun gift set that you can share with crafty friends.  Who wouldn't love to receive this gift?  What a treat!

Thanks for the crafty gifty inspiration Angi!  Such a fun idea.

Magic Wand YouTube by Tessa

Tessa Buys is a design team member with a special focus, videos! Over the next year Tessa will teach us how to use SRM Sticker products via YouTube.  Today she is going to create a flower Magic Wand that would be perfect as a party favor for little girls but could be used for weddings or showers as well. Tessa loves to dress up the wand with big, beautiful flowers using the wand as the stem.

To see part 1 of the video, here is the LINK.
Watch Tessa work her magic with SRM's Wand, Sticker Stitches, Washi Tape, bling, ribbon and a flower.

In addition to washi tape and SRM's Sticker Stitches, Tessa uses some bling.

Sticker Stitches are one of Tessa's favorite SRM Stickers.  She loves their versatility.

And the last step is to attach the flower.  Here's a closeup of Tessa's beautiful flower that is set off with a bold black and white striped ribbon.
View part 2 of Tessa's video HERE where she shows you how to attach the flower.

Wow!  What great videos to teach us some special ways to dress us SRM's Magic Wand.  Thanks Tessa for all the inspiration.  Can't wait to see what you do next time!

Special Delivery Mailbox by Yvonne

Yvonne Yam loves to alter almost anything!  Today she's altered a mini mailbox to hold treats or notes when her nephews and niece come to visit.  What a fun idea!

Yvonne decorated this bright mini mailbox with washi tape, corrugated cardboard and SRM Stickers.  She loves how the clear stickers can be used on almost any surface or pattern.  Click on the images to see a larger view.

Yvonne used a variety of SRM stickers for this project including We've Got Your Border Bright and Baby Sticker Sentiments to decorate the outside of her mailbox.  And for the inside, she used more SRM Sticker and SRM's Glassine Bags to hold the treats in the very "special delivery" mailbox.

What a fun and playful idea!  I can think of so many ways that this idea could be used.  How about putting special party favors inside the mailbox and inviting all your little guests to pick a treat?  Thanks for the inspiration Yvonne.  We love this idea!

Gift Set by Corri

Corri Garza loves making gift sets.  They are her absolute favorite crafty projects.  For this gift set Corri used her Silhouette Cameo to cut files from the Bicycle Built for Two SVG Collection.  She filled the SRM Clear Rectangular box with some candy and wrapped the box with a piece of box pleat ribbon.  She topped it off with a pretty 3-D poppy on the front.

And what gift set would be complete without a coordinated card?  Corri duplicated the die cut poppy, teamed it with some delicious pattered paper and card stock and added a white sentiment from SRM's We've Got Your Sticker Thanks.  The white shows us so beautifully on the dark card stock.  The red twine is the perfect way to complete her card.  Just the right touch!

Wouldn't you love to receive this beautiful and thoughtful gift set?  Thanks for the inspiration Corri.

What a nice way to say Thank You!  Have a great weekend and be sure to join us next week for more SRM goodness!

Letter Box by Angelique

The projects of Angélique Jarrier are extraordinary.  When she applied for the design team I was so struck by her 3-D style.  The detail and amount of work in each project is amazing.

Today Angélique, who lives in Brittany in Northwest France, has created a fabulous gift set for her daughter's English teacher.  Perfect for the end of the school year or as a Christmas gift, this set is a letter box for the teacher's desk with a matching Thank You card.  Simply gorgeous!

First Angélique constructed the box.  Yes, you heard it right.  She built the box!

And here is the pattern for each of the pieces.  Click on image to enlarge.

Once her box was made, Angélique went about about decorating the letter box with patterned papers, punched borders and SRM Teacher Stickers.

She even decorated the back of the box with more Teacher stickers.

Here's the sticker Angélique used.

Angélique made a matching card to go with her letter box gift.  Her daughter's teacher is one lucky lady!  For the card Angélique used SRM's Fancy Thinking of You Sticker Sentiment.

Put it all together and you have the most amazing gift set!  And now you know exactly how to make it.

Thank you Angélique for all the inspiration!  Your work is, how should I say it in French.... C'est magnifique!

3 Cards by Latrice

Latrice Murphy has created a clean and simple trio of colorful cards that are simply devine!  You will definitely want to CASE these!  :)  They are easy to create and even easier to switch up the sentiments when you use Sticker Sentiments from SRM!  Latrice chose three different sheets of SRM Sentiments
And she used Sticker Stitches on all 3 cards as well.

First up is a card Latrice made using SRM's Faith Sentiments.  I love the simple formula she used in creating these cards.  She trimmed 1/2" off the front edge and added washi tape on the inside edge so that the inside color becomes part of the outside of the card giving it lots of colorful punch.  Brilliant!

The second card uses the same formula but uses SRM's Thinking of You Sticker Sentiments.  I love the hearts sprinkled on the front of each card.  And I love how Latrice used SRM's Sticker Stitches on all 3 cards too.  Stitching without a sewing machine is a beautiful thing!

The final card uses SRM's Congratulations Sticker Sentiments and this card makes me smile!

Super fun.  Super simple.  Super sensational!  Thanks Latrice for inspiring us today with your craftiness.

Be sure to join us tomorrow when you will be inspired by another one of our new design team members!

Border Birthday Card by Shelly

Shelly Kurth creates cards with a minimalist look and feel and I love them!  Here's a great idea for a quick and easy birthday card that is really hip and happening.  Shelly uses SRM's Birthday Borders and cuts them up to use them like Washi Tape.

She then adds a few simple embellishments:  a Flair piece from Bossy Joscie and a bit of bling.

There are 14 different 9" strips for you to use on one sheet of the Birthday Borders.  And so many wonderful possible combinations!

Just think of all the cards you can create! I'm thinking at least 28!  1 sticker = 28 cards.  What a great idea!

Paper Craft Connection with Susan & Clare

What an exciting day!  SRM is in the spotlight on Paper Crafts Connection and Clare Buswell has a project that is being featured there as well!  And did I mention a BIG prize packet that is being given away?  Here's just a few of the stickers available to be won.  Just leave a comment on the Paper Crafts blog for a chance for YOU to WIN!

Here's a sneak peek at the beautiful project that Clare has created.  Let's just say that it's amazing!  Hint.... pillow boxes, glassine bags, embossing, stickers.
Need I say more?

Now head on over to Paper Crafts Connection and enjoy!  And be sure to leave a comment on the Paper Crafts blog for a chance to win a big stash of SRM goodies.  There are enough sentiments and borders to keep you creating cards for a very long time!

And here's the entire post from Paper Crafts added July 17th, 2 days after the post.

------------------

Clare Buswell, a member of the 2012–13 SRM Design Team, also loves to play with containers. She has such talent! I look forward to every project that Clare makes, and this project is no exception. Clare has created an embossed SRM Pillow Box, sanded and gessoed, and embellished to perfection.

Here’s a close-up of the beautiful detail.

Clare then created a set of 6 shabby chic notecards and embellished them with SRM’s clear Fancy Sticker Sentiments. She also used a touch of SRM Borders along the edges of these cards. Such a perfect finishing touch.

Next she created a set of embossed SRM Glassine Bags to match her pillow box. Can you say SIGH? Embossing the boxes and bags is a simple way to take them from fun to fabulous! These bags serve as envelopes for the cards Clare created. I love the roses embossing folder.

Clare then tucked the cards and embossed bags into her embossed pillow box.

And here’s the final project! A beautiful gift container and a yummy stack of pre-made cards and envelopes all tied together with twine.

What a perfect project!
