Valentine Card by Michele

Welcome back to day #2 of Valentine Week #2!  So much love....

-----------------

Good morning!  Michele here and I have a fat layered card for you today!  I went a little nuts with the layers of "stuff" and glitter!  I had all of these scraps on my desk from other projects and instead of throwing them away, I cut them up and glued 'em together!

For the center of my flower, I rolled this pom pom trim I had into a cluster. I also added a bit of pink and white twine under it.  I used SRM's Stickers by the Dozen Valentine sentiment to peek out from under it.

One last look at my lumpy bumpy Valentine's card! ;)

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Have a great day!

Valentine Cocoa Station by Shantaie

Well, we have more wonderful Valentine projects for you so we begin Week #2 of Valentine fun!  Today Shantaie shares with us a treat!

Wintertime is the perfect time for a hot cocoa bar, and although I have seen dozens of them decorated for Christmas a Valentine's themed cocoa station is exactly what I wanted for my kitchen!  Shantaie here today to share my Valentine hot cocoa bar idea.

I cut a sweet vinyl saying with my Silhouette using black matte SRM vinyl  and sized it to fit my two tier tray. I layered the saying at the top, but of course you can do it however you like!
So let's talk about the good stuff, what I added to my cocoa station!

I made a set of TUBES filled with cocoa mix, chocolate chips and two little pink heart shaped marshmallows ( I can't handle how cute these are!) A We've got your border sticker was wrapped around each lid and a layered punched piece is topped with a heart sticker from stickers by the dozen Valentine and tied on with baker's twine.

I used a fine point chalk marker in fluorescent pink to write on the label of this candy jar of marshmallows, an essential ingredient to a Valentine's cup of hot chocolate!

Speaking of Labels....I added this one to a ball jar and wrote "& chocolate chips" after the word love. I think little details like this make your station warm and inviting, as well as exciting!

Love is sweet!  And I think that these TUBES would be a wonderful Valentine to classmates, teachers, or just about anyone who could use a warmed heart!!!

I will be stalking pinterest and instagram to see your spin on the Valentine's cocoa bar and the Valentine's cocoa TUBES!!!! Make sure to tag SRM in your photos!!!

CAS Love Card by Melanie

Hey there! Melanie here today and I have a clean and simple card to share with you today. With Valentines Day right around the corner, LOVE is in the air :)

SRM stickers come in THE best fonts and have such a variety. I love to combine them together to get the message across! Since they have a clear backing, layering them is such an easy thing to do. I used some phrases from the Love/Sticker Sentiments sheet.  It's never been a secret that I love Sticker Stitches as well ;) I used a stitch from the Black sheet to connect my patterned papers. Then to add some texture I glued a length of black jute twine  on top of the sticker stitch.
Thanks for stopping by! Have a "Love"ly day!

Valentine Treat Boxes by Shelly

Hey y'all! Shelly, here!  It's Day #3 of Valentine Week here on the SRM Blog.
Today I'm swinging on in to share some easy and fun Valentine treat boxes!

To start, I used some kraft pillow boxes. Which I chose a large one and a small one. Once having my pillow boxes chosen, I added some fun arrow paper to each of them.

After, I added my red jute twine and my sentiment pieces. (for my sentiment pieces, I added each sticker to cardstock and then simply cut them out.)

So what do you think?!...Fun and easy, yeah?!...

Just Believe by Amber

Hello everyone! It's Amber here sharing this colorful water colored card and matching mini tube. I used a bunch of the fun little images from SRM's Just Believe Clear Stamp set to create my background and matching tag.

I started with a large piece of water color paper and starting stamping my sentiments and images in some water color safe ink. I used an over sized piece of water color paper in the beginning because I want to die cut a large rectangle panel for the front of my card and a tag for the mini tube. Once all of my images were stamped I started coloring them and the background in with some Tattered Angles Glimmer Mist and a WaterIn Blending Brush. I didn't worry about coloring all of the images in perfectly, I let some of the colors bleed and blend in with the background. I set aside my finished piece and let it dry overnight before I die cut my card front and tag.

I die cut a large pierced rectangle out of my finished piece and adhered it to my light lime green card base. I made sure to center my sentiment and quote before die cutting.

I wanted to have a matching tag for my Mini Tube so I die cut a little tag right out of the same piece I die cut my card front from. This is why I used an over sized piece of water color paper in the beginning. I added a fun little "God is Good"  sentiment sticker from SRM's Shine Your Light Sentiment sticker sheet to the center of my tag and tied it to my mini tube with some black string.

I hope you enjoyed my two projects today. Water colored cards always look complicated and time consuming but their really not.

February Plans by Shantaie

Happy days ahead in February 2017! Shantaie here with some Planner fun! Don't you just love a fresh new month to fill in activities, goals, and maybe even a day of downtime?! Planners are the key to a more effective week for me, I have tried weeks of just "winging it" and I can tell you I forget too many things, and in general find myself feeling like my life gets a little out of control. A pretty or super fun page also keeps me energized and upbeat! My February page is bursting with Valentine happiness!

I will fill in my daily to do and activity lists as the month goes by in my weekly section but I can reference my master just by flipping to the tab!

I started with that pink tab, and a row of Valentine border stickers  and a 2017 year of memories sticker to top it off, I spritzed the top and bottom corners with glimmer mist is taffy and peppermint. I added a hand lettered quote in a watered down pink paint.....I need more practice, but I do love the look!

My page features more ideas, and guidelines for my days, as well as hard plans, but not the daily appointments, and to do's, this will give me a great source of energy and a reminder that life is more than grocery trips and work!

I used several stamps from the
Healthy PlansToday Tomorrow To Do, and Birthday Plans sets, and used watercolor twist pencils to color them in. I also tried my hand at brush lettering with brush point markers that was fun, and very easy, I will be using them a lot I'm sure!

All you need is love, that and a few SRM stickers to make a fun loving filled planner!!! The Valentine stickers I used are, Quick Cards Love,  Stickers by the Dozen Valentine, We've Got Your Sticker Sweet,  Fancy Sticker Sentiments Love and Quick Cards Be MineI already want to make my March calendar, and I look forward to seeing this on my desk inspiring me each and every day!!!  I'm hooked!

Planner Stamps Not Just for Planners by Michele

Hello crafty friends! Michele here with a birthday card using the Birthday Plans, planner stamps. These little stamps are so versatile and perfect for creating a fun background!  I stamped them in a water color safe black ink.  I used my Zig Clean color markers. In between the images I added touches of gray for shadows. I  added a bit of shimmer and shine using glossy accents and glittery Stickles.

I stamped the sentiment on a strip of paper in pink and added a bit of black and white twine.  I used a small felt circle and sequin for the center of my bow.

It's fun to think about other uses for our stamps!  Here's the one I used!

Be My Valentine Mini Cards by Shelly

Hey y'all! Shelly, here!

Today, I'm sharing a mini valentine card set with you! I must say, they are simple and sweet which means you could make plenty of them in no time! ;)

I started with die cutting some squares in a pink cardstock and some patterned cardstock. (For my white base to my mini cards, I just used my paper trimmer to cut squares.) Once done, I layered them all together.

After, I added a 'hugs' label to each card. Then I used some woodgrain patterned paper, which I added my sentiment to and made them into banners. After, I added each banner to the middle of my 'hugs' label. Easy peasy, right?!...

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Enjoy your day and see you soon!

Winter Layout by Melanie

The weather where I live is sure cold right now! We are definitely in our winter season. My kids love the snow, especially when they get to go sledding or skiing.  Melanie here today to share a fun layout I made.  SRM Stickers are perfect for layouts with an added touch of silver doilies!

I had this cute picture of my girls ready to head down the hill. It was fun to combine a variety of stickers and the silver doily to add a winter touch to the layout.

I mounted the "Chill Out" sticker on paper but placed the "BRRR it's cold" sticker right on top of the photo. That is one of my favorite things about SRM stickers . . . since they have a clear backing I can use different ways of mounting them.

The scallop sticker under the photo is actually the edging left over from the wedding borders stickers. I used several edging leftovers to give the page some extra definition. Can you see the thin grey lines above and to the left of the photo? Left overs :)

Sticker stitches are one of my favorite sets of stickers in the collection. They add a great finishing touch to projects.

Tucking the doily under the photo mat gave the layout some shine, texture, and bit of a feminine flair.

Bundle up and stay warm! :)
