Journey with Jesus by Jenn

Hey Jenn here, back with a bible journaling page using some bible journaling stamps, markers, stickers and twine. I just returned a few weeks ago from a life changing bible journaling retreat in Oklahoma. The theme of the retreat was journey. One of the scriptures used during our devotional time was
Judges 18:6 "Go in peace. The journey on which you go is under the eye of the Lord."

I  started this page by using the patterned arrows and colored in a single row with the green marker, creating a faux washi border strip. Then I used a large set of alpha stickers for the word 'go'. I used the Pray Journal Repeat set for the banner, which I once again used a yellow marker to stamp. Once dry I added the word 'journey' with the tiny alpha in that stamp set. I created a tip in using a few die cut pieces and ephemera to hide and create more space to journal my thoughts and prayers. I love using the distressed clear 2018 sticker to notate the year I journaled this page, it totally fit the feel I was going for. Finally I added a fun cluster of tabs and tags using some bakers twine and washi around the page.

Sometimes I need the reminder to step out. Going to this retreat was a little scary. It was my very first, I knew no one and had no idea of what to expect and to top it all off I am kinda introverted. However I knew my Father wanted me to attend so I stepped out in faith believing that he would use this as a part of my journey. I was blessed with new friends, encouraging words and some serious 'God moments'.

Father, I have heard you loud and clear.... I need to go! Give me peace as i continue to search you out as i journey on the path you set out for me. Let me rest in the peace that my journey is not a mystery to you. May my faith grow and strengthen my relationship with you. Amen!!

Hugs and prayers,
Jenn (@creativegurl85)

Sermon Notes by Jenn

Hello friends! Jenn here... back to share how I like to use my planner to take sermon and podcast notes. During the week when I have downtime I really enjoy listening and watching sermons and podcasts...thus lots of notes. I started putting them all in my Happy Planner Faith edition so I could easily reference the notes and come back to them as possible Bible journaling entries.

I began by attaching large die cuts to the page with my tape runner. Then I pulled out my LePens ....these colors have me all kinds of heart eyes! I picked out three colors that fit with my overall color scheme. As important key points and main ideas were brought up I used my key and light bulb icon stamps to further pull out these thoughts. I journaled the main theme I took from the message using the tiny alpha and circles. To finish off the page I stamped a few words that fit with the theme of the page, added some washi and few stamped hearts.

I find myself more likely to pull out my notes if I find them appealing to look at, which in turn causes me to reflect more and dwell on the messages. I hope this encourages you take those crumpled notes out of your Bible and put them in a journal. This could be a great place to start Bible journaling if writing in a Bible makes you a little nervous.

Wrap it Up by Jenn

Hello friends Jenn here! How's all the Christmas preparations going? If you are like me time has gotten away from you and before you knew it Christmas has become just days away. I am here today to share a few fun ways to wrap up gifts for the holidays.

Idea #1:

To begin I wrapped my gift in kraft wrap, then used a white dolie and attached it to the corner using some adhesive. I thought a stamped to and from using the   stamp set would be a super cute rustic touch. To finish the packaging and pull a little color into the gift I used simple red jute twine. There you have it a super simple rustic gift wrap idea.

Idea #2:

For this idea it works best to cut your kraft paper to the size of your gift prior to wrapping, so the stamped images are positioned in the right spot and it is obviously much easier to stamp flat. I used the large sentiments stamp Merry and Bright stamp set. Using a red and green ink I stamped the words Merry and Bright on a diagonal for a fun all over pattern. I love using these adorable to from tags on the   sticker page. I stuck the sticker to some leftover kraft paper and fussy cut around to create a tag. For the final finishing touch I used a little black and white bakers twine to pull it all together.

Idea #3

The last idea I will leave you with today is a very sweet romantic packaging idea. I first wrapped my gift once again with kraft paper....if you haven't guess yet I love this stuff!! I attached some gorgeous 4inch lace around the top of the package and added a gold bow. Using the to from tags I once again stuck it to a scrap of kraft paper, fussy cut and punched to add a 3 dimensional tag.

I love how eyes light up when they see beautifully decorated packages, it makes the gift inside just a little more meaningful. I hope this gives you a few more quick very simple ways to be creative in your gift giving this holiday season!

Prayer Pockets by Jenn

Hello friends! Jenn here, I am back today with a way to follow through with all those prayer promises. Are you like me...Do you tell your friends and family you will be praying for them then forget? Ugh this used to be me all the time, but I may have come up with a solution that works for me...prayer pockets. I created this little pocket at the front of my Bible to hold all the prayers I wanted to remember to pray over and follow up with. It is a huge boost to my faith watching the prayers in that pocket get answered!

I started by decorating the adorable kraft bag with polka dots (4"x6") and white lace dollie. Adding washi, stamping and a couple puffy hearts. Next I took the scraps from cutting the dollie and used them on the edges to move your eye around the page. Under the dollie I scraped some pink, yellow and white acrylic paint..this really helped those lacey dollies pop off the page. I pulled out the Pray and Repeat stamps from the 'pray, journal, repeat' set and stamped across the top and bottom. Finally I added a tag I cut out of a journaling card, punched a hole and tied some bakers twine through the hole....its ready for some praises and requests.

I hope this idea inspires you to write down those prayers and watch God miraculous move! Be blessed!

August Planner with SRM by Shanna

Today we welcome Shanna Slater to our design team.  What a talent she is!  Enjoy her work Here's a bit more information about Shanna in her own words.

Hello!  My name is Shanna…. I am a blessed wife of 15 years and mother to 3 wonderful (most of the time) children living in Northern California.  In my spare time I love to be crafty!  Paper crafts are my favorite, but I dabble in nearly everything.  I work full time as a registered vascular access nurse and really love my job.  I am a excited to be a part of the fabulously talented design team here at SRM Stickers, and can’t wait to show all of you the ideas I have brewing in my head…. If you like what you see, you can follow my crafty adventures over

-------------------

Hello and Welcome!
This is Shanna with my first post as a SRM Design Team member.  I'm very excited!

Today I am sharing with you my August Happy Planner monthly layout!  I love monthly layouts as a tool to get a quick glance at to do's and important dates.  I had a lot of fun using a lot of different products on this layout, and even watercolored a little!  Super fun, and even pretty quick as well.

I used the Bible Background stamp set to stamp out the clouds in my empty squares at the beginning of the month. I love doing something creative in the blank space and the clouds were a perfect compliment to my layout.  After stamping them I lightly watercolored a pretty shade of blue in the space in between the clouds using Color-in Watercolor Twist Pencils.  Oh my goodness!!  I loved using these!  I tend to not watercolor much in my planner because it warps my pages, but I barely had to add ANY water to get the desired effect with these pencils. I foresee more watercoloring in my future planner pages for sure!

August brings a big event in our house.  With 3 kids all in school this year, Back To School might as well be considered a federal holiday!  I have one entering kindergarten, one in 2nd grade, and a soon to be junior in high school this year. They all attend different schools, and one doesn't start the same day as the other two.  So I turned to SRM Stickers to save me!  I loved how the "First day of School" sticker from the Express Yourself/School sticker sheet fit right in between the 2 weeks so it could label both dates!  I utilized the school year stickers from the Live Life/School sticker sheet to further commemorate the individual grades each of my kids are entering.  This Mama is going to be a big cry baby for the last couple weeks of August!!

I also love coding things in my planner.  Instead of writing everything out, I choose an icon that relates to the task.  I did this specifically for my crafting swaps I participate in with the calendar icon from the Everyday Plans clear stamp set.  Whenever I see that stamped, it correlates to a due date or event I have marked on my "crafty calendar" I keep in my craft room.  I also utilized a coffee cup from Coffee Plans clear stamp set to help me remember schedule my blog posts on my personal blog Caffeinated Craftiness. You can also spot some of the Coffee Plans set being used to fill in the blank squares at the end of the month.  The little coffee beans included in the set are totally adorable as a background filler and the sentiment speaks to my caffeinated life!

Rounding off my layout are a few snippets from the Pray, Journal, Repeat stamp set.  I adore this set and it's versatility!  Can you spot everywhere I used it??
(I will help you out some!)

Pray, PLAN, repeat sentiment
PLAN banner (love those little alphabet letters!)
Circle around the August To Do in the sidebar
Circle around August 19th

I also used the Everyday Plans clear stamp set to create my "payday" icons and my To Do list/ My To do list features check marks that I will color in as I complete each task. Who doesn't like crossing things off a list?? My Neon Le Pens allowed me to add in small details where needed all well.  I loved the "life is good phrase" from the We've Got Your Sticker Plus Birdie sticker sheet, so that got incorporated into my sidebar because well, LIFE IS VERY GOOD!

Here is a quick recap of the SRM products used in this project:

Stamped Fitness Tracker Notebook

Hello!  Karen here today to share a fun idea using SRM Planner Stamps and the new Pray Journal Repeat Stamp set. I love all the shapes on that stamp.  I'm going to use it a lot!

So, like many of you, I find myself in a position where I need to pay more attention to my health and fitness. I am trying to exercise more and I thought if I made a notebook to track my progress I would be more motivated. With the help of some SRM stamps, I'd like to introduce my simple fitness tracker traveler's sized notebook.

v

Cute, hey? I used some scrapbook paper and cards from my stash and embellished them with stamps. The new mini alpha, found on the "Pray Journal Repeat" set helped me label my notebook "health and fitness." To remind me to "just do it" I randomly stamped {DO IT} from the "Notes to Self" Planner stamp set on the cover.

On the inside front cover, I couldn't help but use the "You can do it"~coffee stamp found on the new "Coffee Plans" set and highlighted it with a green stamped circle from the "Pray Journal Repeat" set.

I've kept the inside pretty simple (because I need to make time for exercise, right?). I stamped the doodle square (from "Pray Journal Repeat") 7 times on each page and then labeled each square with the days of the week (from Planner Notes to Self).

Each day I exercise I can stamp a thumbs up (yay me!) from the Everyday Plans set and write in my exercise for the day. I may add a page for my eating habits later, but for now it's one thing at a time!

For this project I used:
