Valentine Cocoa Station by Shantaie

Well, we have more wonderful Valentine projects for you so we begin Week #2 of Valentine fun!  Today Shantaie shares with us a treat!

Wintertime is the perfect time for a hot cocoa bar, and although I have seen dozens of them decorated for Christmas a Valentine's themed cocoa station is exactly what I wanted for my kitchen!  Shantaie here today to share my Valentine hot cocoa bar idea.

I cut a sweet vinyl saying with my Silhouette using black matte SRM vinyl  and sized it to fit my two tier tray. I layered the saying at the top, but of course you can do it however you like!
So let's talk about the good stuff, what I added to my cocoa station!

I made a set of TUBES filled with cocoa mix, chocolate chips and two little pink heart shaped marshmallows ( I can't handle how cute these are!) A We've got your border sticker was wrapped around each lid and a layered punched piece is topped with a heart sticker from stickers by the dozen Valentine and tied on with baker's twine.

I used a fine point chalk marker in fluorescent pink to write on the label of this candy jar of marshmallows, an essential ingredient to a Valentine's cup of hot chocolate!

Speaking of Labels....I added this one to a ball jar and wrote "& chocolate chips" after the word love. I think little details like this make your station warm and inviting, as well as exciting!

Love is sweet!  And I think that these TUBES would be a wonderful Valentine to classmates, teachers, or just about anyone who could use a warmed heart!!!

I will be stalking pinterest and instagram to see your spin on the Valentine's cocoa bar and the Valentine's cocoa TUBES!!!! Make sure to tag SRM in your photos!!!

Crabby Days Summer Card by Shantie

Hi again, Shantaie here with a crabby but cute summertime shaped card.

I cut this adorable crab with my Silhouette and added a bit of olive ink to his edges and used the bistro chalk marker to add a few crustacean-esque spots and highlights. He is way too adorable!!

Two hands in the air for lazy days of summer! This guy is pretty excited about his sign, made from a white banner and the August monthly memories sticker. How can you not smile when you see this crabby!!!

Have a fun and maybe even a lazy summer day!

Peanuts on Parade by Shantie

Hello!  Shantie here today to share a fun project.
Containers, are one of my favorite crafty products, clear containers that offer a colorful peek-a-boo inside are probably the most fun ever!

A panel of patterned paper is embellished with a sweet baby elephant holding a balloon. The balloon is highlighted with a white bistro chalk marker and a twisting twine bow in cantaloupe.  I added a simple greeting of baby love from the we've got your border baby girl and a border from the baby sentiment sheet.

Making favors, gifts, or packages of any kind is just a little more fun and eye catching with a clear box!

Bible Journal Art by Shannon

Good morning, Shannon here, sharing yet another bible journaling page with you! I'm offering you a little bit of ingenuity this morning.

Have you ever thought to add chalkboard markers to your journal entries?

The journal entry you'll see below was used using the BISTRO Chalkboard MARKERS above.  This entry also has LePen or two, of course!

The following pages are journaling the readings for April 30, 2016. I highlighted the text that I wanted to focus on, I also drew some arrows, well, seven...because when I journal, I try to focus in on the 7 gifts of the Holy Spirit. Fun Fact about me: Seven is a special number in my life as well, Paddy and Mack were both born on the 7th, and we adopted 2 of our 3 dogs on the 7th..and the other was actually born on July 7th...so you will always find seven somewhere in the things I share with you.

Here is a close up of the entry. You'll notice that the "chalkboard" is not a perfect, straight line, I don't do perfect, I can't draw a straight line with a ruler. It's just "not a thing" in my life, and I don't even attempt to try.

I added a lot of "dots" of various sizes and colors. I outlined my text too, I felt like alone it didn't stay out enough, so I went back after looking at it awhile, and committed to the outline. The beauty in using something like a chalkboard marker, you can go over it in black and begin again. It's "smeared" a little, because I wanted texture.

Here's an additional close up, you can see the outlines. The only thing I used that wasn't SRM, was a gold marker to add a bit of sparkle to the page as well.

Thanks for letting me share with you! ❤

Lace Layered Card by Shantaie

Shantaie here today and I've got to say… I love lace!  Lace is pretty no matter how its used, but as a layer on a card it is gorgeous! I love the softness it adds while still adding texture and dimension. In a word - delicious!

SRM Blog - Lace Layered Card by Shantaie - #ard #stickers #fancystickers #twine #janesdoodles #autumnblessings #lace #chalkmarkers #twine

I spritzed the corners with a touch of glimmer mist to shade the paper and lace just a bit. I stamped the sunflower from Jane's Doodles Autumn blessings stamp set in black momento ink and colored it in with spectrum noir markers, that touch of white was achieved with one of our chalk markers (cool huh?)

SRM Blog - Lace Layered Card by Shantaie - #ard #stickers #fancystickers #twine #janesdoodles #autumnblessings #lace #chalkmarkers #twine

I added a strand of twine and a bitty tag topped with a fancy sentiment sticker for an all occasion greeting. I love the gold mixed with lace and a sweet floral stamp

This is one of those cards that I will have a hard time parting with! :)

Hello friends!  As a design team alumni for SRM Stickers (2011 and 2013), I am so happy to be back here to share my guest design projects with you. The SRM products keep getting better and better. The varieties are awesome for any paper-crafters and event planners. I have used the SRM products many times for my own special occasions from wedding, birthday and dinner parties.

As an avid stamper, no post would be complete without sharing a card with you.

I love the Jar image from SRM's Jane’s Doodle Stamp “Life is Good”. I paired it up SRM doily. With some paper-piecing, this card is rather fun to create.

My 2nd project is to create watercolor tags. I also used “Life is Good” stamp set.  These small tags are handy to have and great for using on SRM's kraft pillow boxes wrapped in a doily and twine.

For my 3rd project, I created two large tags. I love creating my own watercolor paper! With SRM's chalk board markers, it’s easy to add the personal touches.

These tags can be for food displays or gift toppers. While I was at it, I also added the SRM Sticker Stitches to dress up the wooden clips!

Chalkboard & Stitches Layout by Shantaie

Hi Shantaie here with a sweet and stylized layout to share with you! I wanted to create a page using the chalk markers and multiple sticker stitches, I knew I wanted a modified chalkboard effect without using any actual chalkboard paint or papers.

SRM Stickers Blog - Chalkboard & Stitches Layout by Shantaie - #layout #stickers #chalkmarkers #doilies #yummy

I used a kraft 12X12 base and layered a black patterned paper with a subtle white print, I dry brushed white craft paint in a super thin coat over several areas of the page to give the impression of a chalkboard that had been swiped with an eraser. I added a layer of black cardstock to anchor my photos and added more paint and multiple rows of sticker stitches.

SRM Stickers Blog - Chalkboard & Stitches Layout by Shantaie - #layout #stickers #chalkmarkers #doilies #yummy

The title is handwritten with a chalk marker onto plain black cardstock and allowed to dry. I rubbed the title in a circular motion with my fingers to get a slight white blur like erased chalk.
I added a doily that I cut in half at the top of my page and the other half at the bottom of my photos, A sub-title was added along the bottom of my photos using the Express Yourself recipe stickers saying "yum yum yummy yum yum!" I love lots of embellishments and this layout is no exception -- lots of fun die cuts and flowers all enhanced by the sticker stitches and the bold hand written title!

Have a sweet day! Shantaie

Baby News Card Set by Shery

Hey there, SRM fans! Shery here today sharing a set of cards using chalk markers! These chalk markers are incredibly fun and easy to use for all sorts of projects. They go so well with SRM stickers, particularly the We've Got Your Border stickers and my all-time fave, Sticker Stitches.

SRM Stickers Blog - Baby News Card Set by Shery - #cards #announcements #baby #chalkboard #markers #borders #stickers

As my husband and I will be welcoming our first child in August, baby announcement cards are just some of the things I started working on as soon as the pesky morning sickness started to become a thing of the past and I've got a lot more energy. I needed to make these cards to send out to family, relatives, and friends here and abroad, and here are just 6 (of many!) I've done.

SRM Stickers Blog - Baby News Card Set by Shery - #cards #announcements #baby #chalkboard #markers #borders #stickers

To start, I stamped the rocking horse, teddy bear, and baby carriage that I'd originally illustrated and turned into stamps in various Hero Arts inks. Since we don't know yet if we're having a boy or a girl, I went with ink colors that would work regardless of our baby's gender.

SRM Stickers Blog - Baby News Card Set by Shery - #cards #announcements #baby #chalkboard #markers #borders #stickers

I covered white card stock with the Easy Chalkboard Marker and once it was dry, I cut it in several small pieces. I doodled the frame/border using the Bistro Chalk White Marker and then used the Bistro Chalk Marker Fluorescent markers to write different baby messages.

I used Black Sticker Stitches on the cards, as well as 3 We've Got Your Border stickers: Baby GirlBaby Boy, and Pastel.

Hope you enjoyed my project, and thanks for letting me share! :o)  Got to get back to making more announcements.  I'm having so much fun!

Kraft Box + Chalk Markers = Fun Art Supply Holder by Shery

Hello, SRM fans! Shery here today I'm sharing an art supply holder/container I made with the Kraft Box (3x3x2) and the super fun chalk markers!

SRM Stickers Blog - Kraft Box + Chalk Markers = Fun Art Supply Holder by Shery - #kraftboxes #chalkmarkers #chalkboard #storage #EASYchalkboardmarker #altered #DIY

I'm always on the lookout for things I can alter and the SRM kraft boxes are perfect not just as gift holders (of course!) but as storage and containers. These kraft boxes come in a variety of sizes and I thought they're awesome as art supply holders for you know...markers, brushes, pens, small embellishments, and even small scraps of paper I wouldn't want to throw away just yet. Here's one I made from the 3x3x2 kraft box -- it's the perfect size for my Gelatos and I can keep them upright, which allows me to easily pick the colors I want to use! I was keeping them horizontally in a little plastic drawer and it was a pain to dig through.

I cut the top flap of the box and then covered the entire outside with the Easy Chalkboard Marker. I have to tell you...I am in love with this chalkboard marker! After the paint dried and cured -- quite a wait but I busied myself by working on two other kraft boxes to hold my watercolor brush markers and embossing powders -- I decorated all 4 sides of the box using the Bistro Chalk White Marker and Bistro Chalk Marker Fluorescent

I stenciled some stars and then doodled in the swirls and lines.

On the other side, I stenciled the butterflies and doodled some more.

And on the front I wrote the name of the contents of the box and doodled some more.  So much fun!

Mini Terra Cotta Easter Pots by Cathy H.

Hi SRM Sticker Fans! Cathy H. here with you today and no fooling ...I have super quick chalkboard themed place setting idea for you for Easter.  SRM now has these awesome SRM Chalk Markers

I used the black EASY Chalkboard Marker paint on mini terra cotta pots to create a blackboard, let them dry and wrote my grand kids initials on each one using fluorescent yellow and pink for my little pots.

I have more to make for Easter brunch but I thought I would start with their's first.  I love how this marker can create a blackboard surface on just about anything!

Small Things with Great Love by Shannon

Good Morning SRM fans!  Shannon here and so excited about SRM's new Chalkboard products!  You've seen a ton of inspiration featuring the new Chalkboard Markers being offered at SRM! It's my turn to show how versatile these markers really are...and chalkboards are all the craze now, even after the trend seems to have been around forever.  So I guess it's more than a trend, it's an essential basic!

I created this canvas using the Easy Chalkboard Marker, the Bistro Markers 6 mm tip (both White and Fluorescent) & the Bistro Markers Fine Tip (both Fluorescent and White).  In fact, I used every Chalkboard product that SRM offers!

The markers are so fluid, yet they give you the ease of marking exactly how you want to! This is an 8X10 canvas, I seasoned the "Blackboard" before adding the quote.  Here's a link to how you can season almost any surface:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=msr9CpNBNcE#t=18

Here's what I created….
