New Product Introduction: Textile Foil and Easyweed Adhesive

SRM now offers a very fun new heat transfer type of material.  It's called Textile Foil and it is amazing!  It comes in a wide array of 18 delicious colors.

You apply it using Easyweed Adhesive.

And create beautiful, delicate projects like this one!  Thanks to Annette Allen for playing with Textile Foil vinyl.  She loves it!  She used SRM's cotton muslin bags and gold Textile foil for these beauties.

To create with textile foil follow these easy instructions:
Cut adhesive on your home cutter, apply to fabric, cover with foil,
press at 305 degrees or less, with medium pressure for 8-15 seconds.
Or use specialty glue to write a word or name, let dry, apply Textile Foil and press down thoroughly and remove.

And check out the beautiful colors!

Use it on fabrics to make your projects dazzle!

New Product Introduction - Bible Margins Stamps

Hello and welcome to a week of new product introductions.  SRM offers two main sections to our line:  SRM BASICS:  stickers, stamps, bags, containers, twine, doilies and more!  And SRM VINYL: offering the largest selection of Vinyl including Matte, Gloss, Heat Transfer, Glitter, Chalkboard, Fluorescent, Glow in the Dark, Textile Foil and more!

Today we focus on a product that is a new addition to SRM BASICS.
It's a new stamp style called "Bible Margins". This is a unique design, with each stamp having three separate panels so that you can stamp each of them in your Bible and then embellish with pens and markers.  Or you can create bookmarks or faith cards.  For non-artists and artists alike!

The first Bible Margins stamp is all about love!  It features familiar bible verses about love with added graphics and embellishments to use in your Bible Journaling, Faith Planners or on Faith cards.

The second Bible Margins stamp is all about Light.  Wonderful fonts and graphics are sure to make this one a favorite.  I know it's mine!  I can't wait to see what our team does with this design!

The third design is focused on rejoicing.  Again, a combination of special fonts, enbellishments and illustrations are just waiting to receive the perfect touch.  I'll be using my Watercolor Twists to color these in or to give them a watercolor background.

Karen Hunter loves using her Watercolor Twists  in her Bible Journaling and she loves how easy it is to add her Bible Journaling in the margins with SRM's new Bible Margins stamps.  And as a little extra touch she used some Sticker Stitches!

But these stamps are not just for Bible Journaling... Love what Christine Meyer has created playing with her new Bible Margins stamps including these fun DIY bookmarks using watercolor twists to create the watercolor backgrounds and lots of delicious twine to make the tassels on her bookmarks.

And using the another Bible Margins stamp she created beautiful cards all about love!

How about this beautiful Valentine's card from Karen Hunter using one of the same LOVE Bible Margins design as Christine did but oh so different!  LOVE it!

Be sure to stop by tomorrow to see more new product!

Valentine Gift Idea by Shanna

Hello SRM Friends!
Shanna here again today with a great gift idea for your favorite Valentine this year!!

I modified a file intended for a tube of chapstick and ended up with a fabulous holder for SRM's versatile plastic tubes!  This project could be easily altered for any holiday or occasion, but I especially enjoyed making a Valentine out of it.  The size even allowed me to sneak in a gift card for the special recipient!

I got to use some fabulous Valentine's stickers available from SRM in this project!  One of my favorite things with SRM's stickers is that the sets all tend to coordinate, even though the are separate sets.  So even though I used stickers from 4 different sheets, they all look like they came in the same set when put together on a project, PERFECT! :)

I used some of the Red and Natural Jute twine for a fun and easy addition, and was able to tie my "tag" to the top of the bag too!

The inside of the box has a pop out piece that the tube slides perfectly into, and I added a few stickers to decorate the panel for the gift card, and actually affix the gift card to the panel as well!

Materials Used:
Jute Twine
Cardstock

Hope you all enjoyed this fun project!  Let me know if you have any questions :)

Have a wonderful Valentine's Day!!

Thank You Notes by Shantaie

Hello!  Shantaie here today to share my Thank You notes.

My Mother used to say you are never too broke, busy or important to say "thank you" :). As I look back on her no nonsense simple approach to life and manners in general I tend to agree with her. However grateful we are when we open our gifts, it is easy to forget to say a proper thank you. That is why I have made it a priority to have thank you cards on hand all year but especially during the holidays.
The BIG Thank you stamp set is one of my favorites, and embossed in white on kraft it is the star of the show on this card set.

I also stamped some branches in green, and a few scattered flowers, colored in with the watercolor twist pencils in shades of red. This type of coloring goes quickly and the result is beautiful. To finish the cards I added a little border sentiment from the brights border and mounted onto a strip of white cardstock.
No matter the reason, having a set of "thank you's" ready to go is really helpful!

Christmas Layout by Karen

Hello!  Karen here today to share a special layout
Christmas to document my family's special time together at this most wonderful time of year.

I love to preserve our Christmas memories in our scrapbooks. This layout came together so quickly, which is a must in this busy season.

Two patterned bags provide not just a fun background, but a convenient spot to slip in extra photos and my daughter's letter to Santa.

Lots of layering of SRM's clear holiday stickers bring this layout to life.

Winter Layout

Hello SRM friends, Giorgia here.First of all I wish you Happy Holidays, I hope you had a great Christmas and I take the chance to wish you a wonderful new year!  Today I have for you a winter layout.  This year in my town they placed a ferris wheel and a giant Christmas tree so me and my hubby went take some festive pictures. To create the layout I used SRM stickers winter themed products, but not only them... can you spot the Valentine sticker that I used? I chose to make a monochromatic layout in blue tones with silver touches, so frosty and wintery!
used a sequence of pictures to create movement. I love this kind of design for my layout!

I adhered circles stickers on white cardstock, fussy cutted them and adhered some of them with foam tape to make them pop from the background and add depth.

I used the word Winter from FreeStyle/Winter stickers as title. I placed some stitches stickers under the strips of papers to create more interest.

I hope you liked my layout and wish you a good day.
Until next time,ciao, Giorgia

Hello 2018 by Shantaie

Shantaie with you today to help ring in the New Year!

I'm that person. The one that inevitably forgot to send at least one person a Christmas card, or that received a few cards from friends and family but never got around to sending one to them. I find sending a New Year's card to be a great way to stay in touch when Christmas slipped past me!
I also love making New Year's cards because they give me the opportunity to send a year full of wishes while using as much sparkle as my heart desires!

This card uses this cut from the Silhouette store, and was used as a shaker design filled with sequins and shimmer confetti. I added a star border from take 2 stickers by the dozen graduation ( I love using stickers in more than one way!) and the sentiment from express yourself new years was added to a white strip of cardstock and popped up with foam tape.

This card will fit in a business size envelope and is surprisingly quick to put together making multiples a snap!
Happy 2018 to you!

Peace on Earth by Jennifer

Hi everyone! Jenn here with a Bible journaling page that I completed to finish up the final week of Advent. This month I have been so enjoying my weekly advent studies. Here is just a little peek into what I have been learning.

In my weekly Advent study the 4th week is based around peace. I started by first sketching out my lettering and doodles with a pencil then I went back in with my black permanent fine tipped pen. Once I was satisfied with everything drawn I erased all the stray pencil lines, as those are super tough to erase after you watercolor...believe me I know from experience. I love using the water color pencils to precisely fill in the doodles

and then going back over all the color with a water brush. The vibrancy of the pencils is terrific! Any areas that need a little more color you can always touch your water brush to the tip of the pencil and pick up color and place it where needed. I love this technique and use it often just like if you had a pan of watercolor paint.

Once the watercoloring has completely dried I go back over the line work a few times to make sketchy, imperfect lines....totally unnecessary, just my favorite style.

For the final touch I add little bits of white gel pen for highlights and to give the image more life.

Luke 2:14 "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests!" Wow this verse is so full of hope, and joy! One of the very few times an exclamation point is used...so you know it has a lot of emotion behind those words. The angels appeared to the lowest of all society, the shepherds and told them the best news ever. A Savior had been born to bring joy and peace. So this has me thinking ...what is peace? Peace is learning to trust God even in the midst of chaos. Peace is having confidence in God who loved me so much he was willing to send his son to earth as a helpless baby. Peace is saying no to the world and yes to God. That is the kind of peace that I need in my life during the chaos of Christmas and all year long. I hope and pray you hold on to this peace as we move into the new year.
