God Is... Bible Journaling by Christine

Have you checked out the books of the Bible stamps that SRM now carries?  I love them and wanted to use them on my Bible Journaling with a focused list.  Christine joining you today with a Bible Journaling piece titled "God Is…"

I combined a bunch of stamp sets to create this project including:

I really like the script font of the word "God" from the Child of God clear stamp so I was excited to use that over and over! I used the 24 Pc Water Color Pencils and a circle template to create my background.

By combining the New Testament and Old Testament stamps with the Today Tomorrow To Do Planner Stamps I was able to cite each verse that the different statements came from.  A really great solution for a person who doesn't love her handwriting ;).

What different stamps and techniques are you incorporating into your Bible Planning these days?

Patterned Spring Bags by Tobi

Hello there! It's Tobi here with some cute gift bags for Easter and/or spring.
We don't celebrate Easter, especially since moving to China, but we usually give little gifts of our favourite candy (mini-eggs) or baked treats to each other! My boys love getting these kind of presents, so I thought I'd make a cute little bag to conceal the contents....

I assembled my supplies and got a colour-scheme going. This is usually the way I jump-start my creativity if I don't have any ideas - which was the case today. Colours are inspiring to me and I can usually work quickly after choosing a scheme.

I coloured an image that will serve as one of the elements on the bag. I made the colours muted intentionally so that the image can be used on top of any bag - regardless of colour.

Here are the bags, one for each of the people in my family!

I kept the design elements the same but just changed the colour of the bag! It's a really easy way to personalize a design without a complete re-design!

Hello Sunshine by Shelly

Hey y'all! Shelly, here!
Today, I'm swinging on in sharing a simple and sweet 'Spring' themed card with you!

I started with my background. Which I randomly stamped on my flowers and then did some heat embossing with them. Once done, I used some watercolor pencils and added my colors to the flowers. After, I added some 'blue' around my flowers and in between the blank spaces.

Once I had my watercoloring done and dried, I added it to my card base. To finish my card off, I added my sentiment on a piece of kraft cardstock, added a little bit of jute twine and some light yellow sequins. Simple and sweet, yeah?!...

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Enjoy your day!

Happy Spring by Melanie

Spring is just around the corner. Melanie here today to share a mini-card set celebrating our upcoming season. It is my favorite time of the year! I love to see the shoots of my tulips and daffodils starting to come up in the beds.

I decided to play a bit for this card set by using the Marvy watercolor pencils and blender pen. It was a lot of fun to see how the colors turn from pencil stroke coloring to blended watercolor-look.

Choosing images from the Just Believe stamp set, I cut 2-1/2 inch squares of white cardstock to stamp three images three times each. Then I colored each image in a similar fashion. The image on the left is the first, unblended image. The middle image I used the blender pen. Then on the right images I used a little more color on the edges to add some dimension in the shading.

They look similar but the blending really helps smooth out the colors and the shading. I especially love how the pink flower turned out!

I added the "Spring has sprung" sentiment from the Express Yourself Easter sticker set. Then I combined the new jute twine with matching twine and tied them to the side of the colored card. After matting with foam adhesive, I adhered the images to a 3x3 inch card base.  If you like you could put these into a clear Mini Box from SRM!

Happy Spring!  Coming soon to neighborhoods near you!

All About You Card Set by Amber

Hello SRM fans! It's Amber here, today I have a set of Special Occasion cards to share.

I used two different clear sentiment stickers from the Fancy Sentiment/Birthday sheet to create these. I love how big and bold these two clear stickers are. Not only are they great for the inside of your cards, they can look just as good on the front.

I kept both of my cards pretty simple. For this card I started with A2 sized white card base, cut a slightly smaller piece of  floral patterned paper for my background, cut a large banner out of some coordinating patterned paper, adhered the banner to my floral background piece, and wrapped some twine around both pieces before adhering them to my white card base. For my sentiment panel I die cut a pierced rectangle out of some watercolor paper, watercolor pencil and water brush. Once my sentiment panel was dry I added the "Today Is All About You" sentiment and adhered it to my card front.

To create this second card I used the same patterned paper I used for the first card. I started with an A2 sized white card base, cut a piece of striped patterned paper for the top half of my card front, cut a small strip of floral patterned paper.

I adhered the small strip of floral patterned paper to the bottom of my striped piece of patterned paper and tied a piece of twine around both pieces before adhering them to my card front. I created the sentiment panel the same way I did on my first card except I used a different colored watercolor pencil color and clear sentiment.

These two were super easy to create and could be easily be reproduced and put in a fun A2 card box. Thanks for visiting!

Lucky, Lucky Mack by Shannon

St. Patrick's Day is almost here!
In the Morgan house, that means shenanigans and all the beauty of the holiday. We celebrate dear St. Patrick, his life and works and we also celebrate being Irish, our heritage and our faith.
This layout, celebrates Miss Mackenzie Margaret Catherine (say that 5 times fast!) and the simple serendipity of being able to find Paczki's! (Yes, I know these are Polish, we're lucky enough to be Polish too!) This is a big thing! A big, simple thing!

SRM Stickers has so many awesome options for celebrating St. Paddy's Day available in the store, including some new items that are wonderful and versatile.

You'll find stickers, jute twine, twine, punched paper pieces, lace, bags and pens on this layout:

This layout is all about the details, I like to layer and add unexpected things. Here's a close up of the left hand corner:

The brand new lace is gorgeous! It folds and lays perfectly to create an elegant effect on this layout, it draws your eye right to Mack:

Here's hoping you have a wonderful St. Patrick's Day (if you celebrate)! "May the dreams you hold dearest be the ones which come true, and the kindness you spread keep returning to you!"

Heaven & Earth Bible Journaling by Samantha

Hello! Samantha here today with some Bible journaling using one of the new Bible journaling stamp sets Heaven & Earth.

I am so excited about how easy this was to create with the Heaven & Earth stamp set.

I laid out all of my words on my Bible first. Then, I stamped them in waterproof black ink.

I filled in some of the space around the words with icons from the same stamp set. For the icons I used some grey and some green ink.

Then, I added depth and color to the stamps with some Watercolor Twist pencils

This might be one of my favorite Bible journaling pages yet, and with the Heaven & Earth stamp set and the Watercolor Twist pencils it was so simple!

St. Patty's Day Tubes by Samantha

Hello! Samantha here with you today. We love St. Patty's Day at our house. I have some Irish ancestry, so we make sure to do it up right. This year I thought it would be fun to use the SRM tubes to make some pot of gold and rainbow favors.

When using the clear tubes, I always like to start off with some cute tags. I used the scalloped circles Punched Pieces in black, blue, and green to created my tags.

I think the both sides of the tag should be equally cute, so I added a Happy St. Patty's Day to the front. On the back I either used the shamrock sticker from the Calendar Companion stickers, or I stamped a shamrock using the heart stamp from the Birthday Plans stamp set

For my rainbow tubes I used the long, narrow Magic Wand Tube. Skittles work really well in them! 7 of each color of Skittle will fill them up.

For my pots of gold Tubes I added Rolos to the Mini Tubes. 7 Rolos will fill up these tubes perfectly. I thought they needed something more, so I added a little green Sticker Stitches Border sticker to the bottom.

I finished up with attaching my tags with a little blue or green jute twine. Sláinte! and I hope you have a wonderful St. Patty's.

Birthday Box with Jute Twine by Shantaie

Hello!  Shantaie here today with a fun birthday box!

I know everyone loves getting a gift, I also loving giving gifts, it's one of my favorite things to do. The new colorful jute twine is quickly becoming my crafting "go to" product and as you can see I love each color equally.
I wrapped a kraft box  with patterned paper and topped it with a 4" doily  embellished with a flag border from we've got your border birthday and wrapped it with all four colors of jute twine tied at the top. I placed itty bitty pom-poms along the twine and added a punched piece tag made with take 2 stickers by the dozen birthday

This really is such a festive and cheerful gift wrap that anyone can make. Be sure to keep an eye out for lots of fun ways to use the jute twine in your crafting, making, and of course gift wrapping!
