Baby Gift Set

Welcome! Take a look at this wonderful baby gift set, created by SRM Designer, Carole. She used several SRM baby stickers for her gift bag and tags. It's a terrific example of how versatile our Stickers can be! What expectant mother wouldn't love to receive this beautiful coordinated set at her baby shower...








Now for a bonus card (love this part!). I discovered this card art at Gina's Blog, using SRM Stickers and was taken back by its unique and lovely feel;

A St. Patrick's Day Card Tutorial

Happy St. Patrick's Day! Welcome to another tutorial at SRM Stickers. Gina Hanson put together a sparkly and fun St. Patrick's day card using SRM Stickers and walks us through the steps. Here we go!





Here's what you'll need;

Bazzill Cardstock
Reminisce Patterned Paper, Lucky Me and Glitter Factory
Shamrock Button and Ribbon
SRM Stickers - Express Yourself, "St. Patrick's Day"




I started with a 5 x 5" card then trimmed 1 1/2" off the end of the front of the card. I took one of my patterned papers and trimmed to 3 1/4" x 4 3/4" and adhered to the front of my card.




I cut two different sizes of circles, making the black cardstock circle a tad bit bigger than the circle cut from another piece of patterned paper. I stitched the ribbon onto the patterned paper circle as shown. Before adhering to my card front, I distressed around the black cardstock.






Using two different sizes of heart shaped Spellbinder Nestabilities, I cut three of each size from two different papers to create the shamrock. I used foam dots to pop up the little hearts.



Lastly, I added a Shamrock button and SRM Sticker sentiment to finish off my card.

Shaped Baby Cards by Kathy

I have a pair of lovely baby cards for you today. Our Designer, Kathy Racoosin, created these using Shapeabilities Dies in her Cuttlebug Machine. Shaped cards are so fun to receive in the mail, don't you think?



You can see that Kathy also treated the inside of the card, using all three stickers from SRM Quick Cards Sets;



Kathy used the little black dots that surround the baby feet image as a guide for stitching with embroidery floss - brilliant!

Tutorial by Tanis

Hi there! Glad you stopped by today! It's Tanis here, and I'm going to share a tutorial with you today. I decided to make a bookmark, walk you through the steps, and show you a little "trick" for dealing with loose ends of your machine-stitched threads. Let's get started!





Supply List:
Finished project measures 7 3/4 x 2 1/8"

2 colors of card stock
an old dictionary, book, or text paper
stamps (using a tall image works best)
SRM stickers: SCHOOL
Pigment Inks
Sewing machine
Ribbon scrap
Mod Podge
old paint brush


1. Cut a piece of text paper to the size that best fits your image, allowing space on the bottom for the sentiment stickers. I tore one edge of my text paper for an aged look. Stamp your images.




2. Trim card stock to mat the text paper. Adhere text paper to card stock.




3. Stitch edges of text paper with machine. Pull ends of thread to the back of the text panel. Pull the thread end on the back side, so the front stitch loosens. Grab this loosened thread with your fingers and pull until the front thread end comes all the way through to the back, as shown in the photos.












4. Adhere stickers to card stock. Cut into strips. Adhere to front of bookmark. Stitch and pull thread ends through. Paint entire panel with a coat of mod podge. Allow to dry. Stitch ribbon tag to top.




5. Trim Card stock base slightly larger than text panel. Trim threads and adhere panel to base, making sure threads are completely tucked in.
