New Products Reveal - Day #4 - DIY

If you love DIY, SRM is adding more products that are perfect for you!  Here's a collection of Scallop Circle Punched Pieces in 10 colors and in 3 different sizes:  1 1/2" round, 2" round and 2 1/2" round.  Scalloped circles come in so handy for so many projects!

Christmas Pencils in Mason Jar 

Create a fun centerpiece that can also be used as favors.  Make 12 Christmas pencils embellished with Gingerbread Man Stickers by the Dozen, Twine and all put into a Mason Jar with some shred.  

Christmas Muslin Gift Bags 

Create 12 Gift or Treat bags using SRM's Muslin Medium Bags.  Embellish with doilies, Christmas Take 2 stickers, punched pieces and twine.

Christmas Skinny Tubes 

Create 12 fun and fabulous Skinny Tubes embellished with Christmas Take 2 stickers, twine and punched pieces.

Baby Shower Favors by Yvonne

Do you love DIY?  Yvonne Yam does!  She took the SRM Baby Shower DIY Kit and changed it up a bit.  Everything you need is in the kit!

The kit comes with 12 embossed glassine bags.  Love the flourish pattern.  Yvonne did 2 different designs for her favors using SRM's Baby Take 2 Stickers, SRM Doilies and Twine. 

Yvonne had some fun with the Marigold Yellow twine by looping it through the holes in the doily.

And she also just tied a twine bow on the other.  Super quick, easy peasy!

DIY Princess Purse by Roberta

Roberta Rosi took her SRM Princess Party Purse kit and had lots of fun changing it up.  With this kit you can make 12 Princess Party favors.  Everything you need is in the kit!

Using the pieces included in the kit, Roberta added a SRM doily, some patterned paper to create a rosette and some SRM Sticker Stitches.   To adhere the doily, she just cut it in half and slit it so that it slipped over the purse handles. What  a quick and easy way to embellish the purse and to take this project up a notch!

Here's the SRM Princess Sticker that comes with the kit. 

I love the way Roberta used the "Little Princess" square and tucked it under some pink cardstock with just the word "Little" showing.  So cute!  And the SRM Sticker Stitches add a nice finishing touch at the top of the bold pink banner.

Love the subtle patterned paper she used to create a rosette and love the way she used the Pink Sorbet Twine that's in the kit to create a free formed flower behind the rosette. 

And at the bottom, Roberta affixed the {Princess} sticker right to the clear purse.  Clear sticker, clear purse… they work so well together!

DIY Wedding by Laurel

DIY Weddings are all the rage and Laurel Seabrook has taken the SRM DIY Wedding Kit and created a wonderful project that could be used as a favor or

gift bag.  

Laurel started with her DIY kit from which you can create 12 beautiful burlap wedding bags. 

Laurel loves the look of frayed burlap, so she cut the top off of the Large Burlap Bag that comes in the kit.  She then adhered and stitched one of the Wedding Take 2 borders to the bag. 

Laurel took one of the SRM Doilies that is included in the kit, cut the outside of the doily off, adhered it to the edge of the Mr & Mrs. sticker ruffling the doily slightly as she adhered it.   Laurel made a beautiful double tag using using her doily and sticker and some Teresa Collins patterned paper she had in her stash.  She trimmed the silver rose border from the Take 2 set and adhered it to the bottom of the tag.  Laurel says "Don't be afraid to trim the stickers to suit your needs".  

Laurel tied the tags onto her bag with some of the Gold Shimmer Twine that comes in the kit.  {{SIGH}}  Now that's just beautiful!

Love how Laurel took the products that she found in her SRM DIY Kit and stepped it up with other products that she has in her crafty stash.  Her beautiful burlap bag is truly one of a kind.  But you can CASE it if you like!  See all the DIY kit designs HERE!

DIY Baby Shower Favors by Michelle

We asked our design team members to choose one of SRM's new DIY Kits and to create a project using the supplies but to take it up a notch.  Here's the Baby Shower kit that Michelle Giraud decided to play with.  Everything you need to create 12 baby shower favors is in the box.  Here'a a peek at the box and some of the favors you can create following our instructions.

Michelle decided, however, to go way outside the box (pun intended) and create a darling stamped image to affix to each glassine bag.  She stamped and colored with Copics and then scanned the image and printed out as many as she needed.  That saved her lots of time and plenty of ink from her Copics! 

Once the image was on the bag, Michelle added a border from SRM's Take 2 Baby Stickers across the bottom of the stamped design.  Adorable!

Michelle made a little bow out of a SRM paper doily, cutting the doilies into quarters and then pleating each triangle.  She mounted the stickers onto a die cut circle and used a hot glue gun on the back of each sticker.  

Michelle also added a short bit of Twinery Twine to use with the doily bow to tie the bag closed.  Simply punch 2 small holes in the folded top of the bag and lace the twine through.

DIY Graduation Pillow Boxes by Juliana

Welcome to day #2 of our DIY Week!

Need some darling graduation party favors?  Juliana Michaels has created the perfect set for you!  I love the image of the wise owl for a graduation project.  So adorable! 

Juliana took SRM's Graduation DIY Kit and tweaked it to create this project. You can create 12 party favors or gift boxes using this kit.  Everything you need is in the box!

First, Juliana cut the owls from various colors of cardstock using her Silhouette.  You can use any color to customize it to your school colors.  

She then layered and assembled the owls and adhered them to the front of a SRM Medium Pillow Box. You get 12 of these in your kit.

Juliana cut "Happy Graduation" from SRM's Take 2 Graduation sticker borders, adhered them to a strip of chipboard and then attached them to the front of each owl.  

She added Twinery Twine to match the cardstock on each of her owls.  

On the inside of each box Juliana cut a piece of white cardstock to the size of the inside of the box and embossed it using her Cuttlebug.  She used this to "hide" the backside of the owl which is taped to the front of the box.  She finished it off with a "Congrats You Did It" sticker to the back of the box.

What an adorable idea!  You still have plenty of time to create your graduation favors or gift boxes.  This idea is sure to please.  Just tuck in some sweet treats for a favor and a check, gift card or a stash of cash if you use it as a gift box.

DIY Birthday Kit by Shelly

SRM's new DIY Kits are to much fun!  In each kit you have everything you need to create 12 favors for birthdays, weddings, holidays and more!  Today Shelly Kurth has take the SRM Birthday DIY kit and put her own spin on it!  Here's the kit!

And here are some of the birthday favor bags that Shelly created!    

Shelly stuck with doing everything pretty much the same as the kit instructions using the supplies in the kit which include 12 muslin bags, 1 Take 2 Birthday Sticker and some twine. Instead of twine she added ribbon, sequins, and instead of using a punched circle behind the "happy birthday" sticker, she used a rosette. She kept everything consistent, so it would be easy for anyone to just make them in a line. The only thing she changed, was mixing up the colors as she thought it would be fun!  

Shelly removed the drawstring from the bag and closed it with a colorful grosgrain ribbon.  Love how her cut one of the border sentiments into little sentiments to add as the finishing touch on her bag.  

Love the different colored rosettes Shelly created and the sequins she added to the sticker once mounted.

You can complete one bag at a time, then easily move to the next. Or you can assemble all your rosettes together first, then bags, etc. Then work everything in a assembly line. 

Shelly placed each one of her "make a wish" sentiments on a piece of colored cardstock. Then cut around the sticker, leaving a little bit of the cardstock to show. Once done, she added a ribbon on the finished bag. 

These DIY Birthday bags would be the perfect activity for a kid's party.  Can't you just see them creating their own favors?  Now there's a great idea! :)  And by the way, you can stamp or stencil these bags too!

DIY Kits are Moxie Fab!

Welcome to SRM where today we are totally Moxie Fab!  That's right we are featured on the Moxie Fab World Blog and we are over the moon!

unique, fun and totally FAB!  DIY is all the rage and everyone wants to play!  Not only does Teri want to share SRM's DIY kits with all Moxie Fabbers but she wants to do a GIVEAWAY of one of these FABBY kits!  Want to WIN yourself one of our very cool Birthday Muslin Bag Kits?  Everything you need is in the box to create 12 fun and fabulous birthday party favors.  Fun for crafters of all ages!
