SRM/17 Turtles Layout by Christine

Welcome back to day #3 of the 17 Turtles/SRM celebration!

I love cut files and I think SRM Stickers & 17turtles is such a fabulous pairing! I am so excited to see what the rest of the team has to share with you!  Christine joining you today with a layout that features SRM Stickers and the Floral Bouquet file from 17turtles.

I decided to cut my flowers in white and back them with various colors of vellum.  I used a medium weight cardstock and because it was a detailed cut I set my Depth at 3 and my Speed at 30.  My blade was set at 4.  I got a perfectly clean cut using my Silhouette at those settings! I then put them together to create a wreath on the layout.

I love the softness of the vellum against the black and white but this file would also look neat unbacked or using some patterned papers!  I used a fine tip glue pen to attach the vellum.

To carry on the Black and White color scheme I used the We've Got Your Sticker Sweet set.  I used the big "Sweet" for my title and put it right onto the picture.  I then used white word stickers  to create a visual triangle on the layout.  Embellishing around it with some gems and enamel hearts helped add a little sparkle.

SRM/17 Turtles Grateful Fall by Annette and WINNERS!

Welcome back to our celebration of 17 Turtles Digital Cut files!  And check at the bottom of this post for the WINNERS of our new Chalkboard Markers!

Hello…  Annette Allen here with you today.  It is my day to share SRM Stickers and 17 Turtles.  Hope my card makes you "Smile"!

I first started with the new SRM Stickers:  6" Green Lace Doilies. 

I thought it would be fun to use it as a stencil, so I took my Memento Luxe ink pad and dabbler to create this fun lace background.

 As you can see it came out really pretty but we are not done yet.

I cut up the 6" Green Lace Doilies and filled in all the white space of the card. I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut this fun sentiment from 17 Turtles Grateful Fall. I totally love the script in this cut file.

To finish off the card I used SRM Stickers: 4" White Lace Doily, Large White Scalloped Circle, Jane's Doodles Garden Friends and 17 Turtles Grateful Fall. Lot's of layers of SRM fun.

For her project today Juliana has created an adorable Easter project using SRM's new Kraft Window Boxes.  These boxes are great for cards or for treats as well.  And Juliana used SRM's new Jane's Doodles Springtime clear stamps to decorate her box and her card.  The "Hoppy Easter" cut file is perfect for this project and she created just for this post.  How fun!  It's available in her shop today!

What a happy or should I say "hoppy" font!  It goes perfectly with that little stamped bunny, flowers and butterflies.  And I love the "grass" Juliana has added across the bottom. 

Love how Juliana created a matching card to go with her little treat box.  That gift is going to make someone very "hoppy"! :)

Chalkboard Kraft Bag by Cassonda

Hi SRM crafty friends! Cassonda here today to share with you this cute little kraft bag I made using the new Chalkboard Markers. Here's how I did it.

First I punched some 2" circles out of thick cardstock to create astencil. Then I used the Easy Chalkboard Marker to color in the circles on the kraft bag (I placed a small piece of chipboard inside the kraft bag so the black wouldn't soak through.) 

Next I took the Bistro fine tip white chalk marker and some cute Jane's Doodles Stamps (Life is Good and Home Sweet Home) and colored the chalk ink right on the stamp. After the black had dried I stamped the white right on top. This was very easy to do and clean up was a breeze. And who can resist those butterflies and clouds! :)

Last step was to decorate my bag with a SRM Silver Doily and to wrap my kraft bag with some ribbon, a bit of twine, flowers and other other embellies. The Happy Spring sentiment sticker on the 1 1/2" white punched piece is the perfect added touch.

I hope you enjoy and put to use some of these chalkboard markers. You can cover a big surface with the black pen or just a little bit...the choice is up to you.

Small Things with Great Love by Shannon

Good Morning SRM fans!  Shannon here and so excited about SRM's new Chalkboard products!  You've seen a ton of inspiration featuring the new Chalkboard Markers being offered at SRM! It's my turn to show how versatile these markers really are...and chalkboards are all the craze now, even after the trend seems to have been around forever.  So I guess it's more than a trend, it's an essential basic!

I created this canvas using the Easy Chalkboard Marker, the Bistro Markers 6 mm tip (both White and Fluorescent) & the Bistro Markers Fine Tip (both Fluorescent and White).  In fact, I used every Chalkboard product that SRM offers!

The markers are so fluid, yet they give you the ease of marking exactly how you want to! This is an 8X10 canvas, I seasoned the "Blackboard" before adding the quote.  Here's a link to how you can season almost any surface:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=msr9CpNBNcE#t=18

Here are some close ups of the quote and texture.  Love how the fine tip creates the bright dots in the background.  I love the way this turned out and can't wait to make more in the future!

Chalkboard Frame Teacher's Gift by Tessa Wise

Aren't you loving the chalkboard craze?  It's Tessa Wise joining you today with another chalkboard gift idea!  I created this one for my oldest daughter's teacher.

I bought the frame at the store.  It was pretty on it's own but so much more fun to personalize!  I cut a piece of black polka-dot paper to 8x10 and put it inside the frame.  

The new Bistro Chalk Markers are perfect for writing on glass.  They don't smudge easily and wipe right off when you're ready.  I drew a little welcome sign on it but I think it would be cute with spelling words, a countdown to a special day, or test reminders, too!  

 I added a few details to the frame to make it a little more fun.  A couple of chipboard stickers from Simple Stories were the perfect embellishment to the corners.  I wrapped the top with Cantaloupe Baker's Twine and tied it in a bow at the corner as well.

At the bottom, I added this definition sticker from the Say It With Stickers Mini Sheet: Fourth Grade Sticker Sheet.  It was the perfect last touch!

Mrs. Trachsel has been such a great teacher this year!  My daughter can't wait to give it to her on Teacher Appreciation Day.  I'm going to wrap it up with a set of the fine tipped Bistro Chalk Markers too!  I hope she likes it!

Graduation Chalked Muslin Bags by Annette

Hello SRM Stickers friends.  Annette Allen here with you today to share a new product and a fun way to use it. Let's get started.

SRM Stickers now carries Marvy Uchida Chalk markers…YAY!  I am sharing how you can use them on SRM Stickers Muslin Bags. On today's project I am using SRM Muslin Bags/Medium 4x6.

I first started with using the Marvy Uchida EASY Chalk Board Marker extra-wide tip. I masked off the area and also added this fun silhouette from Hazel & Ruby.

TIP:  I recommend putting a piece of paper inside the bag to absorb any of the marker that leaks through the muslin bag. 

With it being March it is time to start planning for those graduates.  I used SRM Stickers: Stickers By the Dozen (Graduation).  I first added the graduation hat to a piece of card stock then adhered to the muslin bag, next I added these fun sentiments to add to the celebration. SRM Stickers adhere very nicely to these muslin bags.

You can also personalize with color like I have done on these.  I used Marvy Uchida Bistro Chalk Marker Fluorescent Pink and Fluorescent Blue.

Life is Good with Chalkboard Marker by Stacey

Hey there, SRM Stickers fans!

Stacey here with my take on the new Easy Chalkboard Marker!

I stamped the jar from the Jane's Doodles Clear Stamp/Life is Good set over a piece of vellum and asked my new stamping buddy, Heather Campbell, to color in those yummy strawberries.  Thank you, Heather!  The jar, sentiment and berries were adhered over the chalkboard background and topped off with a super cute Reverse Confetti banner.

Chalkboard To Do List by Christine

I love the versatility of chalkboard!  Christine joining you today to show you how you can make that boring and intimidating To Do list a little more fun by using Chalkboard Markers.

My To Do list is always long but there are always certain things that are top priority and I am also liable to forget.  So I decided to use the new Chalkboard Markers to create a shorter - in your face list that can hang in my kitchen!

I started with an inexpensive wood clipboard.  I then used the Easy Chalkboard Marker and just colored it.  I did two layers to ensure it was thick. I used some letter stickers to trace the "to do" part with Bistro Flurescent Chalk Markers.  You could totally freehand that if you are braver than me :)  I then created lines and boxes using the white fine tip  Bistro Chalk Markers and the 6 mm Bistro White Chalk Marker.  Because I was in a bright and cheery mood when I created this, I doodled some flowers using both the Fine Tip and 6 mm Flourescent Bistro Chalk Markers. I love that depending on my mood, I can change up the doodling or even just leave it plain and simple! Make a mistake or need to change your list?  Just take a damp cloth to remove it!  Super simple and super fun!

Lastly you add your to do's and then enjoy checking them off!
