Itty Bitty Pumpkins by Ann

Happy Halloween to all!  Today I'm sharing something that's perfect for Halloween but is also great for anytime during the Fall, especially Thanksgiving.

Ann Molvik loves to create knitted home decor for every holiday and season.  For Fall she decided to create some little pumpkins that can be used for home decor throughout the season or even as place card holders at your Thanksgiving table.  How totally fun and adorable!

Ann, who loves knitting with twine, found the perfect colors from The Twinery for this project:  Solid Mandarin Orange for her pumpkin and Solid Peapod Green for the stems.  For the pumpkin pictured above, Ann found a free pattern on Ravelry from Marie Green called Luscious Little Pumpkin.

For her second project Ann created a trio of pumpkins with simple little stems.  She could not find a pattern that she liked so she created her own!  And we are sharing that pattern with you HERE.  How fun to create these for your home or as gifts for friends and family.

To create her little pumpkins, Ann used 50 yards of Solid Mandarin Orange and scraps of Solid Peapod Green

Be sure to look for Twinery Twine in your local craft or knitting stores.  Twine is becoming such a popular fiber and The Twinery has 47 different colors from which to choose.  Find them all in the SRM online store.  It's 100% cotton, 4 ply, washable and Made in the USA!  And it's great for paper crafting and gift wrapping too!

Mini Christmas Stockings by Ann

Welcome to day #4 of Holiday week.  Today we are excited to share some Christmas projects that are sure to become family treasures!

Ann Molvik loves these darling little ornaments knitted with Twinery Twine.  She's created one of them for each of her 5 children for Christmas.  So quick and easy to make, they use less than 15 yards per ornament to make.  And wouldn't they be perfect for on a Christmas tree or on top of a package? Ann used Twinery Twine in Marischino Baker's Twine, Pea Pod Baker's Twine and Solid Natural.

Here's  the pattern Ann used:

Who knew that twine could be so fun for knitting?  Never too early to get started on sweet little treats for Christmas.  Thanks Ann for all the inspiration!  These are simply adorable!

Non Stop Tee by Ann

Ann Molvik loves to knit for her family.  She has 5 children and they all have lots of beautiful sweaters, vests and novelty knitted items like headbands and toys.

Today Ann shares with us a "Non Stop Tee" that she knitted for her daughter Lillian.  Ann used Lilac Twine from The Twinery and this little sweater is adorable!  The Non Stop Tee is knitted in one piece, without breaking yarn.  It is flexible in size and can just as well be worn inside out, so toddlers and small children can easily dress themselves.

Lillian loves her knitted tee!  Can you tell?

Ann's girls love the Twinery's Lilac Purple.  It's their favorite color!

And by the way, the twine is 100% cotton and washes up beautifully.  Doing a lot of knitting for her children, Ann wants a fiber that washes up nicely.  With an active girl like Lillian, this tell will be getting many washings!

Twine Market Tote by Ann

For this design team term we are introducing to you a new category of interest:  knitting and crocheting with twine!  So many paper crafters also knit or crochet so we think that it's a good fit.  We looked for someone for our team who loves to knit and crochet and found Ann Molvik.   We gave her a supply of Twinery Twine and she was off and running.

Ann's first project is a Market Tote knitted using Buttercream Twine.  YUM!

And here is the pattern that she used to create this tote:  http://www.purlbee.com/the-purl-bee/2007/6/28/elisas-nest-tote.html
The bag took about 175 yards to create and each spool of Twinery Twine is 240 yards so you will have twine left over for other projects.

Ann thought that this tote would be great to take to the Farmer's Market but her son Nathaniel thought that it was perfect to store his plastic veggies!

If you knit or crochet, think about using Twine in your projects.  And if you don't knit or crochet, perhaps Ann's projects will inspire you to give it a try. Twine is such a wonderful fiber.  It's 100% cotton, 4 ply, strong and will not fade.  And it's Made in the USA!  And if you do decide to knit or crochet with twine, please post your projects to our Flickr.  We would love to see what you do!
