CAS Card Set by Melanie

Hello! Melanie here today to share a Clean-and-Simple (CAS) card set that I put together.

For this project, I challenged myself to using: 10 sheets of cardstock, 2 sheets of SRM stickers, and a variety of die-cuts and ribbon in my stash bowl.

Knowing that the majority of these cards would be used for mailing purposes, I kept them (mostly) flat. To add texture, I using embossing templates with my die cutting machine.

I kept the designs fairly similar to keep the process streamlined. The first step was to cut the mats and layering pieces for each card. Then I ran the top layering pieces through the embossing. Next, I matched up the stickers, die-cuts, and ribbons. After adhering the pieces together for each card, I snapped this photo to show the simple and similar designs:

Then I adhered the card faces to the card bases and am so thrilled to have 20 cards ready to go! Here are a few of them close up:

My mom has a birthday this month. She loves getting handmade cards as a gift (she writes several letters and notes each month). I tucked a set of cards into one of the SRM white glassine bags, along with envelopes, stamps, and a writing pen. Then I decorated the bag a bit for fun.

Working this way was a good process for me. I could work in steps and bits of time here or there. Clean and Simple works really well for me :) Enjoy your day!

BIG Love Layout by Christine

The new BIG Stamps are perfect for everything from cards to gift wrap to layouts!  The size is perfect for adding words to layouts and today I am going to show you how I did just that!  Christine joining you today with a layout that is full of love and a little silliness too!

SRM Stickers Blog - BIG Love Layout by Christine - #layout #BIGstamps #BIGlove #love #twine #stickers #stitches #gold #doilies

For this layout I used the Clear Stamp called BIG Love to highlight my striped paper.

Before I stamped I figured out where I wanted to put my pictures.  Because the stamps are Big, you need to do a little planning before you put the ink to paper!

I used the stamp three different times and then put my silly kids names by it!  I also used some other pieces from SRM to make the layout perfect.  I added in a twine bow using the Caribbean Bakers Twine.  I also added a row of "stitched" scallops to my patterned paper border to help soften that edge.  That sticker came from the Black Sticker Stitches Set.

gold lace doily coordinated perfectly with the foil gold accents in my paper!  And of course more sticker stitches to highlight my stamping!

Lace Layout by Christine

The new lace from SRM can be used for so many different things and today I am going to show you how I used it to create the background of a layout! Christine joining you today with a sweet layout incorporating several SRM Stickers products.

SRM Stickers Blog - Lace Layout by Christine Meyer - #lace #layout #stickers #stickerstitches #golddoily #doily

I was inspired with the wider 4 inch white lace to try and use it as the backing to a cut file.  I laid out the lace onto a square piece of cardstock and adhered it.  I then used a fabric adhesive on the back of the cut file and attached the cut file to the lace.

I love the delicate and feminine touch it adds not to mention texture that you just can't get from paper!

I also used several other pieces from SRM Stickers to make this layout special.  I added a gold lace doily behind my picture to give it a base and to add to my color scheme.  And I created a unique border for the whole layout using different white sticker stitches.  I think the sticker stitches are a really nice complement to the lace with a feminine feel! I used white stitches from the Valentine's Sticker Stitches and Christmas Sticker Stitches.

What creative ways are you using our new lace? We'd love to see the projects you have been making!

Hello Card by Michele

Hello there! Michele here with a fun little card to brighten someone's day!
I used this adorable new stamp set by Jane's Doodles called, Garden Friends.

The little bird was colored with Copic markers and cut out.  I stamped his wing again, colored it, and cut that out as well.  Both pieces were given a generous dose of glossy accents and his wing was sprinkled with glitter.  When it was dry, I attached the wing with foam tape and squished a bit of white satin ribbon under it.

The background was done with paper scraps.  Each piece was given a bit of black ink on all sides and then adhered to yellow card stock.  I cut a triangular piece for the sentiment and attached my bird.  I slipped a SRM gold doily under it for a bit of interest.

17 Turtles Bee Happy Tag by Cassonda

Hello SRM Fans!! Cassonda here with you today to share with you a sweet project featuring a 17turtles cut file called Everyday Carnival Tickets AND some fun SRM products.

The base for my HUGE tag is actually some package backing. Never throw those away...some companies have the prettiest packaging. :)  I added some springtime papers by Doodlebug for a yellow background and dotted papers for the scallops. I love how they look when they're layered all together. I also tucked in some pieces of a Gold Lace Doily

I'm a layers kind of girl so after my background area was set I went to town making my tag pretty. I added a banner sticker from the We've Got Your Border/Bright set across the top, a Life is good Sticker Sentiment a little bee from Jane's Doodles Garden Friends clear stamps and some ribbon with a button to tie it up. I wanted some of my tickets to be solid and some to be open. So when I sent the file to my silhouette I made sure I had both options ready. The file includes 4 designs to choose from....I think the camera is my favorite. :)

I hope you enjoy this tag and will create something "Happy" for someone else.
Have a wonderful Day! ♥

Thanks Card by Cassonda

Hi crafty friends! Cassonda here to share with you a quick thank you card I made for a good friend of ours. I didn't even put the paper through the sewing machine that's how quick it was to create. LOL

I started with some printed paper that was already stamped and embossed (gotta love short cuts, right?!) and adhered it to some cardstock. Then I just wrapped a small piece of ribbon around it and added a cluster of embellies in the corner by the butterflies.

That sweet little flower was made using a 4" gold lace doily
{I think I have found my new favorite use for these. ;) }

Final step...add a Thanks sentiment sticker and some pearls and the card is done.

I hope you find some inspiration in this quick card if you are wanting to make one for someone on your thank you list. :)

And we at SRM all want to say "thank you" to our friends and fans for another wonderful year.  Come back and see us next year! :)

World Card Making Day #5 with Shannon Morgan

Ready for another card from Shannon Morgan?  I am!  The ingredients of this card are the same as the other cards from Shannon's set but she's changed up the colors.  On this one she's using a SRM Gold doily.  YUM!  And by the way, that punched gold textured heart was made using the middle of one of those gold doilies.  What a great idea!

Shannon's work is all about textures and layers and fun little tricks that make her crafty creations really pop!  Sparkling sequins carry on the metallic theme on this card.  Shannon has spritzed with turquoise which is picked up in the sequins and twine.  Delicious!

And her use of vellum for placing the clear SRM stickers is fabulous!  Let's face it, the entire card is fabulous!  Want to WIN all the SRM ingredients used on this card?  Simply leave a comment on this blog post.

And also check out the Paper Crafts Blog and the Crafter's home Blog for more prizes and tutorials on Shannon's cards.  Do you know that Operation Write Home is having a huge blog hop today?  Check it out HERE!

Hope you are having a very crafty day!
