Valentine Lunchbox Cards by Samantha

Hello! Samantha here today with some Valentine lunchbox cards. My boys love it when I slip little notes in their lunchboxes, but only if they're a bit silly, so I make them lunchbox cards with jokes on them.

For these notes, I created little envelopes (they measure 2 1/2" x 3 1/2") from patterned paper. Instead using the envelopes the long way, I flip them the tall way to create a pocket. I decorated the the envelopes with stickers from Valentine Labels by the Dozen, Valentine Stickers by the Dozen, and Planner Icon Stickers

I printed the jokes out and attached them to the outside of the envelope. I put the punchlines on a tag that pulls out of the envelope with a little delicious Twinery baker's twine

These Valentine lunchbox cards are such a simple way to let your kiddos know you're thinking of them even when they're at school.

Supplies used in this project:

Bible Journaling by Christine

I'm back at it and ready for a fresh new year in Bible Journaling - how about you!?!  I love that there are no rules in Bible Journaling, you can just create and dabble to your hearts content! For today's share I did A LOT of dabbling!  Christine joining you with a piece based on Ephesians 2:8 "For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God."

I have been watching lots of videos of talented artists drawing their own flowers and I decided to dabble in that for this project! My Black Le Pen was perfect for the doodling part!  I knew I could use my stamps from SRM (Amazing Grace & Trust in the Lord) for little flowers in combination with doodling to create a fun background.

For each style of flower that I did I used a single color from my collection of WaterColor Pencils.  I colored and then used a blending pen to spread the color and give it that pretty watercolor look.

I also wanted to play with masking on this project.  I cut a sheet the same size as my original and then folded it in half and cut out a tilted heart.  I then layed that over the top of my original and started stamping "Grace" over and over until I filled it. The word "Grace" came from the BIG Amen set. Lastly I traced my heart again using my Le Pen to make it stand out a little bit more.  I love how this ended up looking and most importantly I had a fun time making it!

January 2017 Planner Pages by Melanie

Happy New Year! Melanie joining you today with some planner fun!  I am looking forward to 2017 and hope you are as well.

My planner definitely helps keep me on track for a more successful year. Usually I only add color to my weekly pages because, well, this is what my monthly pages end up looking like . . .  The days are packed . . . but . . . Blah.

So, to start the new year off a little more brightly, I used SRM stickers to give my January planner layout a splash of color.

(Trust me, my sharpened #2 pencil was poised to write in work schedules, appointments, lessons, sports activities, social events, etc. as soon as these pictures were taken. But now I'll have some color amongst all the lead writing).

The "A Year to Remember" Calendar Companion sticker sheet is perfect for planners and calendars. The little icons fit perfectly on special dates or days to remember.

I love the Freestyle stickers and their funky shapes. They add just the right amount of color and style to my pages.

To add some finishing touches, I used the 2017 Year of Memories sticker and black sticker stitches (I think I use these on every project).

I love to see how you complete your planner pages on the SRM's Facebook Planner Sticker Fun page. Thanks in advance for sharing your projects!

Luke 19 by Shannon

Hi, Shannon here. Sharing some bible journaling with you this wintery morning, and I promise, you'll identify with the message.

Luke 19, it's a fairly well known passage, it's about a tax collector named Zaccahaeus. Zaccaheaus isn't anyone special, in fact he's despised. People were not fans of the tax collectors back in the time of Jesus. However, by the end of the reading, Zaccaheaus is indeed special because he does something that we all struggle with daily. He lets go. He gives it to God. He also is able to discern that he needs to repent and do acts of good works. He also acknowledges what is wrong within him and begs forgiveness. It's hard to admit when you're wrong...but sometimes you are, I am, we all are! We have to admit this to ourselves and work on this each and every day. Somedays are successful and others we fail miserably, but don't stop trying! Keep going! ❤

There are so many ways to journal in your bible, some people use word art, others can draw beautifully, some can sketch..others doodle, keep journaling and never worry that yours doesn't look like someone else, comparison is the thief of joy. ❤

I used some great stuff available from SRM for this page, you can see the products I used below!
