Bible Journaling Stamped Background by Karen

Hello!  Karen here today to share with you some Bible Journaling using SRM's Stamps & Markers. 

Many passages in scripture use light as a symbol or to refer to Jesus. In this passage in John 11, Jesus reminds His disciples, who are fearful of returning to Judea, to walk in the light and they will not stumble. I used the  "The Lord is my Light" stamp set to remind me to walk in the light and stay focused on Jesus when faced with fear or anxiety. 

 

To create the patterned background, I simply used a sun stamp from the set and stamped it repeatedly in oranges and yellows, heavier on the margin and lighter as it covered the text and the remainder of the page. Turning the sun in multiple directions with each stamping will keep the background from becoming too linear.  Fill in all the spaces with repeated stamping in gradually lighter hues to make a full and interesting background.

 I cut a smaller piece of white cardstock for the margin and stamped it with the same sun, but in a lighter yellow. On top of that I stamped the sentiment and a border from the set. The lighter block, with just a bit of orange border with a LePlume Marker, sets the sentiment up for a powerful contrast.

Christmas Gift Jars by Samantha

Hello! Samantha with you today. I'm starting to work on my handmade Christmas gifts. It always feels like there is so much time, but then all of the sudden, here comes Christmas! I give out lots of gifts in jars, so today I thought I'd share how I decorate my 

Christmas jar gifts.

I canned some raspberry rhubarb jam to hand out as gifts this year, but you can do this with lots of things. There are so many great jar mixes out there (like cookie, soup, and cake mixes)! Just choose your favorite, fill a jar, and decorate.

Take 2: Stickers By the Dozen Christmas are the perfect size to decorate the top of the jar. I used matching Marvy LePlume markers to label the jars with the contents. 

I finished up by adding a sticker from the We've got your Border Christmas stickers to decorate the edge of the jar lid.

2017 Mini Calendar Gift Set by Shantaie

Hello!  Shantaie here today with a fun idea. I challenged myself to create a more updated look and use of the traditional mini calendar, and to make it pretty enough to give as a gift. I set myself up for quite the challenge. After all paper crafters have been creating mini calendars for many years, how could I do possibly anything that hasn't already been done?

The answer was I couldn't. Not really. So I sought not to reinvent it, but to reinvent the way I might use a mini calendar in my daily life. I would most likely use it in tandem with my daily/ weekly planner, and I figured I would want it to be happy, colorful and loose so I could attach the month to my planner or on my desk.

What I came up with is 12 separate and distinct 3 X 4.5" pages cut from bristol, stamped in black with splashes of gellato in silver and pink. 

For January and February I used the love birds stamp set and for march birthday plans stamp set.   As you create your calendar pages, it is perfectly fine to stamp into the calendar area as long as you don't have large areas of solid black. The mini calendar is a clear sticker so your design will come right through! 

April's flowers are from the just believe stamp and May's sentiment is from love one another.  I love the big bold happy on June from the aptly named "big Happy" stamp set! 

For July I used Noah's ark and August Autumn blessings September (one of my favorite pages) uses the healthy plans stamp set.

We revisit Autumn blessings for October and Big Thank you for November, finishing up the year with Big Merry for December. 

I popped my calendar into a glassine bag, decorated it with patterned paper, ribbon, twine, a pom-pom and a sticker and my gift is ready to give!

 A mini calendar set not reinvented, but revamped maybe!

This bold and useful calendar is just a little different from the ones I might have made years ago, and 2017 is already looking pretty good!

Bible Journaling by Christine

Some days you just need a reminder to focus on the things that can change the world instead of focusing on the negative. Christine joining you today with a Bible Journaling piece that I made on one of those days! I used the Trust In the Lord Stamp Set for this piece.

The background on this came out of the hours of playing with the brush tips on my Le Plume II markers.  I have been playing a ton with brush lettering and as I was messing around I kind of stumbled onto how fun just making little marks could be!

I decided to do multiple colors but keep the same pattern.  I set a metal circular die on the border in order to help me keep a consistent shape going.  After I was done with all the brush tip marks I then went back and used my Black Le Pen to outline each circle.  

Although I traditionally like to do a specific verse this time I didn't have one coming to mind.  Instead I focused on a variety of attributes that God desires from me and that I myself need to be focusing on!

Thankful Gift Box by Tobi

Hi there! It's Tobi, sharing a fun little fall-inspired project. 

I find I can never have too many gift boxes ready-to-go. Today I'm sharing a quick little creation that's perfect for any Autumn gift-giving occasion. 

I started off by assembling the 3x3x3 kraft box.  

I then cut my font and shapes from Chalkboard Vinyl with my Silhouette Cameo and stuck them to the top of the box. 

It looks so sharp against the kraft!! 

 

I then decorated the box with pretty papers and a few embellishments. 

Gluing twine is a snap with the Mono-Multi glue applicator! 

All done!

Calendar Cards for Pocket Scrapbooking by Samantha

Hello! Samantha here today to share with you a fun stash busting idea. If you love scrapbooking, you're really going to enjoy making yourself a set of these calendar cards for pocket scrapbooking. 

These 3x4 pocket cards are a great way to use lots of bits and pieces of paper as well as lots of SRM stickers. I used a lot of random sticker sheets for these cards (and I'll list them all at the end of this post), but the only ones you have to have for these cards are the 2017 Mini Calendar Sheets in Standard or Decorative. 

You can make the cards purely decorative, or leave space for journaling. 

I made a card for every month of 2017, and customized them for our regular events. For example, my son's baseball season runs through June, so my June card is baseball themed. School starts in August every year, so my August card is school themed. 

I just gathered these all up and and stuck them in my card file so they'll be ready to use in 2017. Do you like pocket style scrapping?

Merry Christmas Card by Amber

Hello everyone! Its Amber here, today I have a colorful Christmas card to share. I used this adorable little elf stamp from My Favorite Things BB Santa's Elves stamp set and paired it with some colorful patterned paper, a few embellishments, and a sentiment sticker from SRM's We've Got Your Sticker/Merry sticker sheet.

To begin I started with an A2 sized white card base and adhered a slightly smaller piece of patterned paper to my card front. I cut a strip of red cardstock, added a white "Merry Christmas" sticker border from SRM's We've Got Your Sticker/Merry sticker sheet down the left side, and adhered it to my card base towards the left side. I absolutely love these clear white sentiment stickers from SRM Stickers, their quick and easy to use and really add a little something, something to a project. The white really pops against a colored background, plus its always fun to use another color besides black. 

For the focal point of my card I die cut a double stitched square out of some white cardstock, stamped my elf image, colored my image with some Spectrum Noir markers, ink blended the background with some yellow ink, and added a mini clothespin with some string and a little red bell to the top left. I adhered my stamped panel with some foam adhesive to the middle of my card to the right of my sentiment and added a little snowflake embellishment toward the bottom right. Halloween Treat Box by Michele

Hi there! Michele here with a fun Halloween treat box!  

Does anyone else love the Dollar Spot at Target? I just can't help browsing through all of their cute things!  I picked up a package of precut pie boxes.  

 

They are perfect for sneaking some treats into!

I applied glue to the top of the box and sprinkled on glitter to resemble candy corn. I topped the box off with a die cut flower that was colored and heavily glittered. 

 

A few leaves, twine, and of course a Stickers by the Dozen Halloween sentiment from SRM!

Uplifting Autumn card by Tanya

Hello everyone!

Tanya here today to share an uplifting Autumn card with you...

I created a colorful fall wreath using a couple of leaf dies and cardstock in pretty shades of autumn. Gold twine tied into a bow finished up my wreath perfectly.

I used 3 stamps from the lovely Trust in the Lord stamp set to create my sentiment.

For the finishing touch, I placed a few enamel dots around my sentiment.
