Birthday Wishes - Day #3

Welcome to day #3 of our Birthday Wishes celebration.  I'm always impressed with all the different ways that our design team members can use our products.  Today we have 3 more delightful cards to share.

Today we feature Angi Barrs with a card that is absolutely adorable!  Angi used felt to create her little birdie and then used SRM's clear birthday stickers to finish it up.  Oh how I love this card!  And lucky me… Angi sent it to me in the mail.  Oh happy day indeed.

The next card is from Juliana Michaels.  What a beauty this card is.  Juliana used Jane's Doodles stamps, Sticker Stitches and Fancy Birthday Sticker Sentiments.  Thank you Juliana for all that you do. I am lucky to have you on our team!

Come see us again tomorrow for the final day of our Birthday Wishes week.

Birthday Wishes - Day #2

Welcome to day #2 of birthday cards that my team surprised me with last summer.  I never shared them on the blog and every one of them is a work of art!  Today I'm sharing 3 more cards.  Enjoy!

First up is Cassonda Tadlock who loves to make her cards frilly and fun and fabulous!  On this card, Cassonda used her SRM Fancy Sticker Sentiments birthday design.  Don't you just love the fancy netting?  And the hands of a clock?  So clever!

This card is a beauty from Michele Kovack who loves anything that sparkles.  You will always find some glitter or sequins on her cards and you most often will find a SRM sentiment.  And don't forget the flowers!  The teapot is from Jane's Doodles Tea Time stamp, one of Michele's favorites.

And the third card is from the super talented Miss Tenia Nelson!  Tenia loves to stamp her cards but then loves to use a clear sticker sentiment.  Love how it's backed in a bright pink.  And the final touch to almost all of Tenia's cards is a touch of Sticker Stitches.  What a delicious card!

Thanks for joining us again today.  Check back in tomorrow for more birthday inspiration.

Birthday Wishes - Day #1

One of the most wonderful days of my crafting life came on my last birthday.  I was at a trade show and so exhausted from set up.  I opened up my Facebook and saw that my amazing design team had put together a surprise birthday blog hop.  Each one of them had made a wonderful card for me and posted on their individual blogs such wonderful posts about our relationship.  I literally was crying for joy at my computer as I read each of the blog posts.   It was truly overwhelming.  What a wonderful group of ladies they are!

I realized that I had never shared these cards with you so this week we are going to be featuring our design team's birthday cards.  Who doesn't need birthday card inspiration?

So for the next few days I'm going to share their cards.  Everyone needs ideas for birthday cards and these cards are all amazing!  Enjoy!

First up is Christine Meyer, the instigator of this secret birthday bloghop.  Thank you Christine for being such a sweetheart.  Here's Christine's beautiful card using SRM Lace, Fancy Birthday Sentiments and white Sticker Stitches.  {{SIGH}}

Here's a darling card from the beautiful and talented Lesley Croghan.  I love this happy card made with Jane's Doodles Eat Cake stamp and twine.  Thank you Lesley for always making such happy projects.  You always lift my spirits!

Join us tomorrow for more birthday inspiration.

Flicker Friday - Planner by Yvonne Yam

Recently we had a guest design visit from Yvonne Yam who is such a talent.  We were fortunate to have her on our design team and she continues to use her SRM on a regular basis in her mixed media projects, her layouts and now in her planner.

For today's Flickr Friday, we check out another post to her planner.

Yvonne loves stickers and uses them liberally throughout her planner.  I spy the Calendar Companion, Year of Memories 2016, We've Got Your Border Birthday, Birthday Stickers by the Dozen and Cooking FreeStyle.

And here's a closeup of some planner art that Yvonne includes each month.  Her planner is a combination of a planner, a journal and her passion for mixed media.

Thanks for joining us today!  If you would like to be featured on the SRM Blog's Flickr Friday, simply post a project using SRM products to our Flickr and you may be featured!

I Chose You - Bible Journaling by Shannon

Good morning! I hope this post finds you well.  It's me Shannon sharing another bible journaling journey with you. Something I want to point out to you as you'll probably be seeing more and more bible inspired posts here at SRM, there is no wrong or right way to begin. You may feel intimidated or overwhelmed, maybe you don't know where to begin? It all starts with a single step, like any journey.

My first entry in my bible looks nothing like the one you'll see in this post, I was terrified that I would ruin it, but friends, you can't ruin something that you're on out of pure inspiration. Some of your entries will be simple, some of them will be complex. You are going to find that every entry will be driven by a different reason each time.

I used SRM Little Borders (in Black and White)Clear Stamps in Words of FaithLe Pens and Sticker Stitches as I worked on my page.

Here is a close up of some of the detail in the stamps that I used to stamp inside the hearts:

As you do your Bible Journaling, do not force yourself to journal, if you're not feeling it, walk away and come back to it, this isn't any kind of contest, this is your personal spiritual journey, or your personal time to get to know God better.  Here are the SRM products that I used on this page.  Look closely and you will see how each of these stamps, stickers and pens have been woven together to create my page.

I can't tell you enough how SRM has so many options for you to make your bible journaling pages spectacular....and I am sure you can look forward to many new exciting options in the future! I hope that you will share your Bible Jounaling using SRM products on our Flickr.

Thank You Annette!!

Today we are celebrating an end and a beginning!  Sad to let you know that Annette Allen, who has been on our team for the past 2 years, is moving on to new adventures.  But she assures me that she will continue to use and love her SRM!  So I will be featuring her in our Flickr Fridays from time to time or maybe even as a guest designer. :)

I have loved working with Annette.  She is so talented and such a wonderful person… so energetic and can do.  We have been blessed to have her with us.

Here's a card from Annette that's all about celebration and she's used a SRM Doily as the base for her stamped creations.  If you look closely at Annette's work, you will often find one of her favorite SRM products.

Thank you Annette!
We love you and know that we will be seeing you soon!

XOXO

Spring Gardening Mason Jar by Juliana

Hello all! Juliana here with you today to share a spring themed project using the new SRM Stickers Patterned Vinyl. I used three of the new colors to create a trio of Spring Gardening Mason Jar Gifts. These would make a perfect gift for Mother's Day and they are really quite easy to create.

Using my Silhouette Cameo, I cut a butterfly from each of the different vinyl colors and then adhered it to the front of the jar.

Next, I tied a small metal garden charm to the top of the jar using a piece of burlap ribbon.

To attach the silk flower to the lid, I carefully poked a hole in the top of the lid.  I then cut off the stem, leaving about a 1/2 inch and stuck the flower into the hole.

To add to the gift, I filled each jar with several packets of seeds in a variety of flowers and herbs.

And here are closeups of the 3 different jar I created.

I think this would make a fabulous Mother's Day gift and it would certainly be perfect for all the gardeners out there!

HUGS!
Juliana

Faith ● Hope ● Love Bible Journaling by Shannon

Good morning, Shannon here, sharing some bible journaling with you today. SRM has some great products for documenting your faith. There's stickers, stamps and pens, just to name a few. I'm sharing a page I created using some watercolors, markers, a LePen and SRM stamps.

I repeated the cross symbol you see here, to build up the verse I was concentrating on. I am trying to catch up to the current date, but as with all things, I am not perfect, and I have to remember there is no wrong or right way to journal in my bible.

SRM has an excellent stamp set for this very thing. The stamp set is called "Words of Faith", it's your favorite things about SRM Stickers in the form of a stamp! You can see the crosses, which is one of images available on the sheet and you can also see the words at the top (faith●hope●love●faith) as well. I shadow stamped the words with a watery red, this gave some depth and dimension to the page.

I used a black Le Pen to outline the verse, add "stitches" and the date. You'll also see the book/chapter/verse documented with the black Le Pen as well. I used a thicker pen I had on hand to journal the words. I used a red Le Pen to fill in the heart.

Here is a close up to the crosses, I used an ombre ink pad to stamp the crosses, I wanted it to fill airy and watery. When I begin my pages, I often never know where they will lead me, I definitely wanted it to lend to a dreamy, muted feel, yet have presence.

One more quick close up of the stamps for you, SRM stamps are so amazing to work with, they leave clean, crisp images on your pages.

Thank you for letting me share with you! Have a great day!

Clearly the Best by Shantaie

Hello my crafty darlings, Shantaie here with a Mother's day (or anyday) gift idea for someone special in your life. I treasure so many of the Mother figures that have graced my life over the years, as well as countless dear friends that uplifted me in various ways so that I could be a better Mother to my girls (and all my many "adopted" teens over the years).  Motherhood and Mothering are lifelong jobs, so a sweet little gift seems in order don't you think? :)

I started with a clear purse box and added a gold dotty vellum panel in the back, I began layering with a 4" white doily and a floral frame. A little swirled circle, and a die cut flower sit just behind a floral printed paper flower, and those two ribbons creating the perfect place for the greeting using mothers day express yourself stickers.

I left this gift box empty to allow me to fill it later with a gift later, and to allow you to decide what you can fill yours with! Chocolate, gift cards, or a pretty bracelet are some of my favorites! ;)

Thanks for dropping by!  Have a crafty day!
