SRM Stickers on Fabric!

Tessa Buys took our assignment to create a project using SRM Stickers on fabric and came up with this beautifully textured Fall layout;



Tessa says; LOVE that I can add SRM Stickers to fabric! You can't always print on fabric, so being able to add a typewritten text to a fabric layout with the stickers is awesome :). I decided to try burlap as my fabric. I wanted to see if such a rough material could take the stickers, and I thought burlap went well with my fall theme.

Holiday Place Setting by Virginia

Virginia Lu created a festive place setting for holiday guests using our Tubes and SRM Stickers. Virginia provided the tube instructions;

1. Cut a strip of cardstock (heavy cardstock suggested), measuring 1 3/4" x 6"
2. Score a line at 1 3/4" and then use a 1" circle punch to make circles for the tubes
3. Use a border punch to trim the bottom of the card
4. Decorate with SRM Stickers
5. String through the holes with twine and add embellishments such as holly and leaves



Virginia filled the Tubes with almonds. She dry-roasted the almonds with a mixture of extra virgin olive oil, salt and pepper in an effort to keep them non-sticky for the Tubes.



Virginia used We've Got Your Sticker "Merry" stickers to adorn her placecards and Tubes.

Take on the Tube

November is going to be a month of TUBE-a-licious activity in local stores throughout the US, Canada, Europe, and Australia. Consumers will be "Taking on the TUBE", creating lots of excitement around this very popular SRM Stickers product. It's perfect for this time of year! Can't you just see the TUBE as your stocking stuffers or Christmas Party favors?

Check with your local retailer to see if they are participating. If you don't have a local retailer, we invite you to post your "Take on the TUBE" entry to SRM's Flickr Gallery and you will be in the running for the competition. Tubes will be judged on originality, use, contents, and craftiness.


Here's how it works:

1. Alter a TUBE, Magic Wand or Mini TUBE with any contents inside. Each entry must also contain SRM Stickers. Submit your TUBE to your local store. If you do not have a local store that carries SRM products, post your entry to SRM's Flickr Gallery. You can enter as many TUBES as you like.

2. The SRM Design Team will choose the top 10 finalists from all store submissions, and top 10 finalists from all non-store submissions.

3. Finalists will be featured on the SRM Blog and our readers will be able to vote for their favorite TUBE.


Timeline:

-Submissions may be posted to our Flickr Gallery from November 1st through December 1st.
-Announcement of Finalists will be made at the SRM Stickers Blog on December 5th.
-Voting by readers will be held at the SRM Blog through December 12th.
-Announcement of winning submissions will be made at the SRM Stickers Blog on December 16th.


Prizes:

50 Tubes, 50 Wands and 50 Mini Tubes with a large assortment of SRM Stickers for decorating your TUBES. The retail value of this prize is $200.00!

Mini 2012 Calendar

Tessa Buys created a unique and beautiful 12 month 2012 calendar using our Mini Calendar Stickers. Her "Tags on a Wire" are a wonderful way to display the monthly stickers for a home decor project!







Tessa says; I made this calendar from trimmed-down shipping tags, wire, and an old frame. First, I painted the frame. Next, I twisted two lengths of wire together for each row, adding little loops here and there. I stapled the wires to the back of the frame. I added the calendar stickers to medium-sized shipping tags and only had to trim a little bit of sticker from the sides. Otherwise, they fit perfectly. I trimmed the bottom inch of the tags off, then embellished with the Lost and Found 2 line by My Mind's Eye. I hung the tags with bullnose clips and mini clothespins, then added little beads and pennants on hangers for some extra sparkle. The last touch was adding rhinestones to the days we have birthdays in our family.
