Kathy's Sticker Storage Solution

Here's another sticker storage feature, by SRM Designer, Kathy Racoosin;

"My stickers were in a few drawers, organized by season, and I had a lot of trouble viewing everything I had. So, this challenge was great! I alredy had this orange file box and decided to fill it with pretty file folders from The Container Store. The organization of the stickers and the folders turned out totally different than my plan, and I think this will help keep me organized. The tabs on the folders and the sticker descriptions will really help me find the right sticker quickly."

I love how Kathy used SRM Stickers to identify her folders. Thank you, Kathy!

Are you ready for tomorrow and Friday? We are! I have amazing Cosmo Cricket "Togetherness" projects for you tomorrow, followed by more Cosmo goodness on Friday. Please stop by and join us for the eye candy, a card sketch challenge, and a chance to win SRM Stickers and Cosmo Cricket Crafting Kits!

Back To School Projects!

Do you have children going back to school this Fall? I will have all three of my little ones in school full-time for the first time, starting on Wednesday. It's a bittersweet experience. One thing is for sure -- there will be many opportunities to create layouts, cards, and teacher appreciation gifts this year...some of my favorite projects!

The SRM Designers were asked to put together a few Back To School items using our school and teacher stickers. Here's what they created;

Now for today's inspiration. I have a fabulous card by our card Designer, Nina, using on of our Quick Card sets;

And, take a look at these extraordinary cards I found in our Flickr Gallery. They were created by one of my card making mentors, Peet Roven;

I hope you enjoyed today's card feature. I'm very excited to be blogging this week -- we have a Back To School feature for you tomorrow, and on Thursday and Friday I'll be featuring loads and loads of projects for our latest Cosmo Cricket showcase. A card sketch challenge is on the way, along with giveaways from SRM and Cosmo!

Sticker Storage Solutions

Today we're dishing about sticker storage. Amy, Tanis, and Tobi are here to show you how they store their SRM Stickers!

by Amy:

I store all my stickers in this binder. It's a heavy duty one that I got at Staples, the largest width they have. I have the catalog in the front pocket for easy reference. Then I have the spine labeled for easy access, too. I also store all my stamps this way, too, so I have a bunch of different categories all color-coded.

When you first open my binder, I have all my small calendars on the inside pocket, then I have an archival safe pocket for each category. Love, Thanks, Baby, etc.

I have one section for Holidays - and I have them in calendar year order, and I cycle them for the closest holiday is on top, then they go to the back once it's passed. I have a section for the calendar stickers which includes numbers and the months - but for instance all the baby stuff stays together - calendar and non-calendar. I will be adding a couple more pockets for the new stickers, too. It keeps things really organized and easy to find whenever I use my stickers.

by Tanis:

My storage solutions to everything are always cheap. My craft stuff is never out in the open, so it doesn't need to be pretty. I didn't go shopping - I just used what I had. A plastic shoebox, some file folders that I cut to fit and some old card stock that I'll never use that I cut to form tabs.

And voila. Not pretty, but practical. All in categories, my favourite sentiment sheets and quick card stickers in the front, categorized by theme. I put my quick card sheets into ziplocs so they wouldn't get lost in the shuffle.

by Tobi:

I use stampendous thicker storage cases for a couple of different storage solutions. I like to store my stickers amongst my cardstock for easy access.. Can you spot it?? Being a card-maker, I just need my most-used stickers on hand, and this storage solution doesn't take up much room. I keep the SRM Stickers Catalog in the back, and all the stickers on top! I usually store the quick cards on top of the Everyday stickers, on top of the sticker sentiments...

I don't know about you, but I'm now motivated to remove my stickers from their ziplock bags and get organized! I hope you enjoyed a peek into how a few of our Design Team members handle storage and organization of their stickers. I'd still love to see YOUR method - email me with photos! I'll be posting more sticker storage tips and tricks next week and I may highlight your storage solution!

Have a terrific weekend, see you on the other side as we continue to showcase new SRM, including a back-to-school day full of projects from our Designers, and a two-day Cosmo Cricket feature!
