Hello! It's Tessa Wise here with you today sharing some treats I made for our teachers for the first day of school but they are great for any time of year.
I picked up yummy chocolate bars and some Starbucks Refreshers to keep the teachers going on the first day. I thought it would be fun to decorate the packaging and personalize them a bit.
I wrapped the Refreshers in patterned papers adhering it together at the top of the packages. Next I added a panel of striped patterned paper towards to bottom and a scallop cut out of colored cardstock to each of them. I added a border from SRM's Sticker Stitches/ Black sticker sheet over the top of each scalloped piece.
**I've included a mini tutorial at this point so that you. Enjoy!**
I started my stamping next using stamping sets by Lawn Fawn. I stamped the white board and stars on to a white piece of cardstock and colored it in with Copic markers. I fussy cut around it and added this perfect sentiment from the Say It With Stickers/ Teacher sticker sheet. I added it to one of the packages using foam adhesive dots. I picked a Small White and Medium Blue Scalloped Punched Pieces and added the cut apple sticker from the Quick Cards/ Teacher sticker sheet to the center. I punched a hole at the top and threaded it with some Solid Stone Baker's Twine, wrapping it around the top of the package and finishing it with a bow. I diecut a journaling card out of white paper and stamped the globe for the second package. I watercolored it and splattered it with gray ink. Once it was dry, I added my sentiment from the Say It With Stickers/ Teacher sticker sheet. I added two epoxy geotags to embellish and adhered it to my card using foam adhesive dots. I finished the packaging with the Solid Stone Baker's Twine at the top, tying it in a simple bow.
The chocolate bars were the perfect size for the Original 7" x 1" Tube. I decorated them with banners of the same patterned papers and added the sentiments from the Say It With Stickers/ Teacher sticker sheet. I finished them off with the same Solid Stone Baker's Twine wrapped around the tops and tied in a bow.
Did you make any treats for the first day of school? I think the teachers will love these personalized treats! They would be great for Christmas gifts too!
