Celebrate Autumn by Cassonda

Hi Everyone! Cassonda here with a quick "Thanks" card you can send during (or after) the Thanksgiving holiday.  This card was delivered to the hostess of our annual Thanksgiving feast. :)

For this card I used some fun fall papers by Doodlebug. Super cute and they all coordinate which makes it easy to choose which ones to use. I didn't feel like pulling out my sewing maching this time so what did I do?? Reach for those awesome Sticker Stitches. They are wonderful and add just a little stitching touch to anything. I also added an orange Punched Piece and two Fall Sentiment stickers.

Now here's the cool part...and I hope you can see it ok (you might have to click the photo to see it up close.)  These SRM gold lace doilies can be cut up into whatever size you need. Perfect for when you need just a little bit. I cut out a little gold flower.

There's a little piece of gold peeking out from under the ribbon.  I just had to put it there.  All shiny.  And pretty.  And metallic-y.

Enjoy and have a great holiday weekend everyone!

Christmas Advent Calendar by Annette

Good Morning SRM Stickers friends! Annette Allen here with you today to share a fun advent calendar.  What a great way to countdown to Christmas!  Be sure to click on each image to enlarge it and see all the details.

SRM Stickers Blog - Christmas Advent Calendar by Annette - #christmas #calendar #adventcalendar #stickers #glassinebags

I have always wanted to make an advent calendar for Christmas and with all the fun goodies SRM Stickers has to offer well it just came easy. I started with SRM Glassine Bags 3.25x4.75 Flat and used Stickers We've Got Your Number White & Black Large. I used a die for the little kraft ornament.
Next I added some of favorite Christmas sayings from We've Got Your Border ChristmasStickers By the Dozen Christmas and Stickers By the Dozen Gingerbread Man.

I folded the Glassine Bags and added a cute clothes pin for hanging.

SRM Stickers Blog - Christmas Advent Calendar by Annette - #christmas #calendar #adventcalendar #stickers #glassinebags

Of course Christmas Eve and Christmas have to be super special so I added a die cut gold star and green die cut wreath.

I thought I would finish each day off with a fun die cut bow rotating each day with a sweet deer wrapped with gold thread and a fun snowman. Hanging them with these little clothespins makes for an easy project. Making this the perfect way to countdown my favorite time of year.

I used an old barn wood frame topped off with a fun Christmas sign.

Now who's excited for Christmas?  It's time to start counting down!
Over this Thanksgiving weekend it might be fun to create a countdown Advent calendar with your family.  What a great project that would be!

Holiday Sign Making by Shantaie

Happy Holiday time from Shantaie! Today I have a home decor seasonal project using SRM vinyl that is sure to wow your guests and stop Santa in his tracks!  First let's talk about what supplies you will need to make your own.

SRM Stickers Blog - Holiday Sign Making by Shantaie - #christmas #homedecor #vinyl #transfertape #DIY

1. A 6 ft X 12" wood board of course you can use another size if desired
2. A small can of dark stain and a small can of white paint
{craft paint could also be used}
3. A rag and a pair of disposable gloves to apply stain
4. 3 sheets of 12X24 SRM matte vinyl in any color
5. 1 sheet of SRM transfer tape
6. sandpaper, an ecutter, or printed letters to trace and hand cut.

I started with a decent quality common wood board that was smooth, straight and already cut to size. It cost just under 15.00 and saved me from any additional work to prepare the sign. I stained both sides and all edges with a dark walnut stain and let dry completely {this was the hardest part of the project for me ;)

SRM Stickers Blog - Holiday Sign Making by Shantaie - #christmas #homedecor #vinyl #transfertape #DIY

I cut my vinyl letters and the sentiment on the Silhouette, (you can also print or draw your letters and trim by hand). It doesn't matter what color you use as you will be using the vinyl as a stencil. Place letters evenly spaced onto your board and burnish really really well! For the best results use transfer tape to apply, I never ever do a vinyl project without transfer tape!

Now for the fun part! Paint over the letters, cover the whole front with a thin (almost dry brushing) coat of white water based paint and allow to dry. Once dry peel away the vinyl, don't fret if its not perfect you can sand away any imperfections and give your sign a rustic look! Now add a clear coat either spray or brush it on and it will last for seasons to come!

An alternative is to paint your sign in the desired color and apply the shade of Vinyl you wish and clear coat over the vinyl, its a few less steps and has a less rustic appearance for a more modern or crisp decor!

This was honestly quite easy, and took almost no time at all other than the dry time. The total project cost is less than a fraction of what some (not to be mentioned brand) signs would set you back..
see it pays to be a crafty type! :)

Happy sign making! And hope you have a crafty day!

Warm & Cozy Christmas Wrap by Lorena

Hello SRM friends! Lorena Cantó here today to share some inspiration. I don't know about you, but one of the things I love about Christmas and winter in general is the feeling of warmth and cozyness. It's just delightful! So that's what I bring you today, a little dose of paper crafted warmth and cozyness perfect for gift giving or for wrapping a handmade card. :)

SRM Stickers Blog - Warm & Cozy Christmas Wrap by Lorena - #Christmas #Gift Bag #Gift Wrap #Embossed Kraft bags #Fancy Sentiments #Shimmer Twine,

I started with a SRM Kraft Embossed Bag (the large one). Kraft just screams "warm and rustic" to me. To make the embossed flourishes pop even more, I dry brushed some white pigment ink on it.

SRM Stickers Blog - Warm & Cozy Christmas Wrap by Lorena - #Christmas #Gift Bag #Gift Wrap #Embossed Kraft bags #Fancy Sentiments #Shimmer Twine,

The next I did was die cutting, stamping and heat embossing a holly branch with berries. And although I chose to stamp them because I love to stamp, to achieve this look you can also die cut some leaves from green cardstock, or use one of those ornamental holly leaves that are sold in craft stores for decorating. There are lots of different ways to do this, really.

SRM Stickers Blog - Warm & Cozy Christmas Wrap by Lorena - #Christmas #Gift Bag #Gift Wrap #Embossed Kraft bags #Fancy Sentiments #Shimmer Twine,

Ok, moving on to the sentiment. I used one sticker from the absolutely beautiful Fancy Sentiments/Christmas.  Aren't these gorgeous? I adhered the sticker to a piece of kraft cardstock and trimmed it like a banner. Finally, I used a mini clothespin to attach everything to the bag and finished it with a double bow made from rustic and gold shimmer twine.  Look at all the shine!

SRM Stickers Blog - Warm & Cozy Christmas Wrap by Lorena - #Christmas #Gift Bag #Gift Wrap #Embossed Kraft bags #Fancy Sentiments #Shimmer Twine,

And by the way, here's that Fancy Sticker Sentiment that I love so much.

Just think of all the ways you can use all the other stickers on this sheet!
What about you? Is your Christmas crafting in full swing already? Thanks for stopping by!

Mixed Media Tags & Video by Shery

Hello, SRM friends! Shery here to share mixed media tags and a video using some of my favorite SRM Stickers products. If I were to pick my absolute favorite from all the stickers by SRM, I'd say it's the Sticker Stitches! I simply love them because they can add so much interest to any project. The Sticker Sentiments are fabulous, as are the Punched Pieces.

I created my tags from one sheet of 9" by 12" watercolor paper, which I cut in 8 equal parts, so each tag measures 3" by 4.5". I used different media (Gelatos, watercolor brush pens, Inktense blocks, Twinkling H2Os, gesso, and modeling paste) plus stamps, inks, and stencils.

SRM Stickers Blog - Mixed Media Tags & Video by Shery - #fall #tags #mixed media, #stickers #punched pieces #thank you,

For my first set of tags, I used Gelatos over some whipped spackle. I stamped some leaves to create a subtle background then used the Black Sticker Stitches. Then I applied modeling paste over a chickenwire stencil and gave it some shimmer with autumn butternut Twinkling H2Os. I sponged vintage photo Distress ink on large yellow Punched Piece and medium white Punched Piece punch pieces, layered them, and used the sentiments from the Sticker Sentiments/Thank You sheet.

SRM Stickers Blog - Mixed Media Tags & Video by Shery - #fall #tags #mixed media, #stickers #punched pieces #thank you,

I did the background for this second set of tags the same way I did the first set, only this time I used Inktense blocks. I sponged vintage photo Distress ink on large yellow and orange punched pieces, layered them, and used the sentiments from the Sticker Sentiments/Fall sheet.

SRM Stickers Blog - Mixed Media Tags & Video by Shery - #fall #tags #mixed media, #stickers #punched pieces #thank you,

For my last set of tags, I used watercolor brush pens for the background. I wanted these two tags to be completely flat so I picked two of the bold sentiments from the Sticker Sentiments/Thank You sheet and stuck them directly onto the tags.

SRM Stickers Blog - Mixed Media Tags & Video by Shery - #fall #tags #mixed media, #stickers #punched pieces #thank you,

I have a video showing how I made the tags from start to finish and I hope you enjoy it! I made these tags assembly line style so they made for quick work :o) Thanks so much for letting me share my project with you today! Hope they inspire you to use SRM Stickers -- they're awesome for mixed media!  View the video HERE!

Noel Home Decor by Christine

I absolutely love the look of burlap and doilies together and I think done right they can make awesome home decor for the holidays.  Christine joining you today and I am going to share with you how I made a simple holiday decor using White Matte Vinyl and Doilies.  I picked up these burlap canvasses at a craft store and they are nice because they can either sit on a shelf or be hung from a wall.

I cut out the letters N E and L on my electronic die cut machine and attached those to my burlap canvas. My burlap canvasses were all 6 X 6 so a 5 inch letter worked great!

Instead of using an O cut from vinyl I used a 6" White Lace Doily topped with a  4" White Lace Doily.  I then added a pretty red bow to the bottom to give it the look of a wreath and bring in some color.

One of my favorite things about this project is that with supplies in hand, it takes only about 30 minutes to complete. And let's face it we all need those extra minutes as the holidays approach!

Snowman Mini Tubes by Annette

Good Morning SRM Stickers friends.
Annette here with you today to share some fun ways to gift money on Christmas.

I don't know about you but I have a hard time picking out things for my nieces and nephews so I like to think of fun ways to gift money. Well this year I am using SRM Stickers Mini Tubes. I just love how easy it is to decorate these tubes and so many fun things you can put in them for stocking stuffers.

The gift of money.. one of the best things to put in a stocking.  Decorated in these cute tubes you can't go wrong.

Pssst…. take a close look at those caps covered in fake snow! :)  And don't you just love that bow tie?  It's a die from Lil'inker Designs. The Snowman stamp is from Lawn Fawn.  I love how SRM works so well with pretty much any other product.

SRM Stickers has so many fun stickers for Christmas I just kept on adding them. On these mini tubes I used We've Got Your Border Christmas. I love how bright the colors are and how perfectly they go together. Mix and match any of them.

Mini Calendar Shaker Card by Shantaie

How's it shakin'? Shantaie Fowler here with a really fun way to use our mini calendars that will be as much fun for you as it will for the lucky one who gets the card!

SRM Stickers Blog - Mini Calendar Shaker Card by Shantaie - #birthdaycard #birthday #shakercard #minicalendar #stickers #twine #DIY #srmpress #srmstickers

Cut a fun shape with a window to see the Mini Calendar of the birth month inside, mark the birthday with a sticker, a stamp or a little confetti hat like I have done with this one. Fill the shaker with sequins, beads, and chunky glitter. I used my Silhouette to cut out this cupcake, but there are lots of ways to make a window if you don't have an ecutter. Dies, (like our wafer die) punches, and good old fashioned scissors will all work just fine!

SRM Stickers Blog - Mini Calendar Shaker Card by Shantaie - #birthdaycard #birthday #shakercard #minicalendar #stickers #twine #DIY #srmpress #srmstickers

I looked to my SRM stash for a few decorative elements to "top off" my cupcake and added a sweet heart from Valentines Stickers by the Dozen to a scrap of white card stock and trimmed it out and popped it right on top of the glittered "icing"  I also used the Valentines We've Got Your Border for the little flag banner and trim in between my washi tape.

To give the cupcake "wrapper" texture I embossed it with a striped folder and added a sticker from the Birthday Stickers by the Dozen ....can you tell I love these;)  Bright, cheerful and fun to personalize, mini calendars just may be the next shakin' trend in shaker cards!

Guest Designer - Marcia Moss

Today on the SRM blog we feature one of our favorite customers, Marcia Moss, the very talented owner of Dandylion Wishes in St. George Utah.

Marcia is crazy for all of SRM's containers and she does the most wonderful things with them.  Marcia never ceases to amaze me with all her crafty ideas!  In fact, she was who suggested that we sell these Kraft Boxes, which we use for our DIY kits, as she saw a lot of crafty potential in them.

For example, how do you take this empty SRM Kraft It! kraft box….

and transform it into a beautiful keepsake?

SRM Stickers Blog - Marcia Moss - #kraftbox #kraft #container #box #DIY #homedecor

Let's just show you how Marcia transformed the kraft box, creating a beautiful home decor piece.

First, Marcia secured the box with score tape when putting it together to make sure that it would be sturdy. She put score tape on both of the side flaps.

And then she put score tape on the front flap.

Once her box was sturdy, she spray painted it black and added a beautiful photo of her granddaughter.

She added some braided ribbon down the side of the photo which really dresses it up.

Next comes some pretty glitter tulle, twine and flowers to embellish it.

What a precious treasure to create!  And what a wonderful gift this would make.

SRM Stickers Blog - Marcia Moss - #kraftbox #kraft #container #box #DIY #homedecor

There's still time to create your own precious treasure and remember, it all
began with a plain kraft box! :)

What would you do with a plain kraft box?  Leave a comment and you may win 3 of these boxes to decorate or use as is for Christmas gifts.

Thanksgiving Teepee by Michele

Michele here with a Thanksgiving decor/table setting idea.  Every year I host Thanksgiving and I wanted a cute way to decorate everyone's plate. I found this cute teepee cut over at the Silhouette store and thought it would be perfect for our Thanksgiving celebration. I used the thanks sentiment from the

SRM Stickers Blog - Thanksgiving Teepee by Michele - #thanksgiving #homedecor #thanks #stickers #DIY

I added some gold leaves and a sunflower to make my teepee a bit feminine and girly. ;) For my finishing touches I added feathers to the top and some coordinating ribbon.

I am planning on making enough for each person and hope I can post a picture of my "real" table on Thanksgiving.  ;)
Have a great day my crafty friends!
