Mini TUBE Containers by Deana

Deana Boston loves to organize her craft room and SRM's TUBES are perfect as containers for all sorts of supplies.  Recently Deana realized that she could store her Twinery Twine Skeins in Mini TUBES!  She added white and yellow daisy stickers from SRM's Stickers by the Dozen Thank You sheet and organized the twine according to the rainbow.  How clever!

The mini TUBES are perfect for storing one skein of Twine.

And the standard 7" TUBE is perfect for storing two skeins of Twine!

What would you store in your SRM TUBES?  And which size is your favorite?
Thanks Deana for sharing such a fun idea.

Guest Designer; Kathy Racoosin

What a treat to welcome Kathy Racoosin back to the SRM Blog.  She was on our very first design team in 2010 and has remained a big fan of SRM ever since.  Kathy is truly a stamping super star creating amazing cards and altered projects. Kathy loves her stamps and inks but she loves her SRM too. She reaches for them on a regular basis, especially the clear sentiments which are so much quicker and easier than stamps and need no clean up!

Here's a bit of info about Kathy:

"Since I was a toddler I have always had a passion for the artistic--whether I was entering coloring contests or drawing Ziggy cards for friends & family. Fast forward to adulthood: I was always on a search to satisfy my need to create; finally in 2009 I discovered card making & blogging. I am constantly inspired by others' card designs and scrapbook pages, and love sharing in this wonderful online community."

And here's what Kathy says about SRM:

"SRM always has the right sentiment for me and the stickers are a big time saver too. I love looking at one sheet of sentiments rather than flipping through all of my stamps."

Look what Kathy did with SRM's Bright We've Got Your Border!  Love how she combines stamps and stickers on this card.  Kathy said: "It's so nice to have a beautiful banner that is colorful without the work. No paper piecing or stamping make this a fast embellishment that enhances any card. For the bottom banner I put the sticker on white card stock, cut it out and repeated the step on blue card stock. The party banner in the circle I used white card stock only."

Love the embossing and Kathy's use of Copic markers on her stamping is simply amazing!  She achieves such realistic colors, beautifully blended and shaded.  I'm in awe of her talent.

For a change of pace, Kathy created a lovely SRM large Pillow Box and embellished it with lots of SRM Sticker goodness.  On the outside of the Pillow Box Kathy decorated it with Black Sticker Stitches which give the effect of stitching with just a simple sticker!  Got to love that!  And the "it's the little things" mini sentiment border is just perfect for this sweet gift.

And on the inside, Kathy created a mini "make your own" card set.  She pre-made the pieces and tucked them all inside.  Included are sentiments, embellishments and layered card stock to get the recipient's mojo rolling. The darling daisy images are from SRM's Stickers by the Dozen Thank You and the sentiments are from the Bright Border.  How totally fun and clever!

And for her last project, Kathy created a quartet of graduation cards.  Who doesn't need a stash of these cards at this time of year?  Kathy said:  "For years I have been enjoying the art circles on the SRM sticker sheets like these graduation hats. I love layering the circles, adding a sentiment banner, some die cutting and you are done! So quick and fun. I whipped up these graduation cards in no time flat." You can match the school colors using colored cardstock. Easy peasy!

Here's the Stickers by the Dozen sheet that has 12 images, 12 sentiments and lots of mini sentiments around the outside of the sticker sheet.

Thank you Kathy for joining us today and sharing your wonderful projects and talent.  You can enjoy Kathy's talents on her blog, The Daily Marker.  If you would like to WIN all of the SRM products that Kathy used on her projects here on the blog today, simply leave a comment and you will be in the running.  The winner will be announced on Monday's blog.

Please be sure to join us tomorrow when Deana Boston shows us something fun to do with mini TUBES!

Mixed Media Card by Nina

Two of Nina Brackett's favorite SRM products are used in the card she's created for us today: Sticker Stitches Black and Sticker Sentiments Thank You.

Nina's
been doing some mixed media-inspired cards recently and these sentiments and sticker stitches are perfect for this style.  Nina LOVES her new Sticker Stitches! Nina says "Using a real sewing machine takes some planning ahead. But with the sticker stitches, I can add them at any time in the design process."

Nina used some of the new Natural Solid Twine which is her new favorite!
Love how she cut apart the sticker "thank you from the bottom of my" and added a red bling heart.  Perfection!

SRM is fortunate to have the talent of Nina Brackett on our team.  It's a joy to work with her and her work is absolutely gorgeous.  Thanks Nina for this mixed media inspiration.  Love how SRM Stickers fit right into the mixed media style, or any style for that matter!

13 Years by Deana

Deana Boston creates the most wonderful layouts using lots of stickers from her SRM stash.  This lovely layout is in celebration of 13 wonderful years of marriage.  They were married 13 years ago today.  Congrats to you both!

Deana used more than 13 SRM stickers on her layout! She used Labels by the Dozen Bright Blanks and added SRM stickers to each of them.  How fun!

Love how the patterned paper Deana used picks up all the colors of the stickers in her layout.  What's your favorite label/sticker combo?  I love the May mini calendar placed inside the green square.

What a delicious layout!  Here's the stickers that Deana used:

What would you put inside your Labels by the Dozen?

A Trio of Cards by Virginia

WINNER ALERT!  See all winners at bottom of this post!

--------------------

Virginia Lu loves her SRM Sticker Sentiments.  We asked all our designers to choose their favorite SRM product and here's what Virginia said:  "SRM sentiments are truly fabulous in complimenting any stamper's style! I love how each font enhances the aesthetic design of the card." And how we love seeing SRM Sentiments on so many of Virginia's cards!

Here's a trio of birthday cards from Virginia using a variety of different SRM Sentiment products. All 3 cards Virginia created for us today are stamped.  Now Virginia is a stamper but once she discovered SRM Sticker Sentiments Virginia loves to create her stamped image and finish her card off with a SRM sticker sentiment.

First up is a card using a Fancy Sticker Sentiment, birthday design.  So beautiful  and delicate!

For her next card, Virginia chose a mini sentiment from the Birthday Stickers by the Dozen.  This mini sentiment surrounds the 12 sticker images that are perfect for invites or party favors.  How sweet this card is!

And for her last card, Virginia chose the "Happy BIRTHDAY" sentiment from SRM's Stickers by the Dozen Birthday.  There are 12 of these sentiments on one sheet.  Think of all the cards you can make!  I love the delicate flowers and the perfectly placed bling.  And I love the way Virginia created a beautiful banner to highlight her Sticker Sentiment.

Thank you Virginia for your beautiful work and for your love of SRM Stickers.  We have loved having you on our 2011 Design Team and again on our 2013 Mini Term Team.  You are a joy to work with and your work is stunning!

New Product Reveal Day #5 - Containers & Pencil Sentiments

If you love the SRM Pillow Boxes you are going to love the 5 new clear containers!  This darling little purse comes in 2 sizes, medium and small.  You can emboss it and/or ink it and decorate it to suit any occasion!

Here's what Nina Brackett did with her little purse.  Can you believe how adorable this is with a scarf inside and the ends brought up and out the top and tied into a bow as part of the box decoration!  Nina also used the new Labels by the Dozen Valentine on this project and some Pink Sorbet twine.  And the "Oh, Happy Day!" sentiment is from the new Birthday Birdie Stickers by the Dozen.
How totally fun!

If you are looking for a tall, thin container that's perfect for gumballs this is the one.  It measures 1" x 1" x 8".  What a fun party favor!

How about a rectangular clear box?  So many things could fit into this little container.
Looking for a small square box?  This one measures 2" x 2" x 2".  Fun!

Love the glassine bags? How about a Kraft Bag, available in 2 sizes?  You can emboss and ink it too!

And finally, more Pencil Sentiments from SRM.  How fun for Halloween, Christmas or Valentine's Day.  That XOXO design could be for any love event like a wedding, anniversary or just because.

Two Thank-You's by Clare

Today Clare Buswell shares with us a pair of wonderful Thank You cards.  You can never have too many Thank-You's!

Clare loves the new Sticker Stitches and she created her first card using 3 of the stitches and mirrored them top and bottom.

She then added a big, bold stamped flower, a ric-rac sticker from We've Got Your Border Birthday and a touch of Charcoal twine.  The {Heartfelt Thanks} sentiment is from the Thank You Sticker Sentiment sheet.

Simply beautiful Clare!  Thanks for the inspiration!

And here is a very clever card using a variety of SRM Border Stickers to create the pattern on the card and topped it off with a die-cut acetate label using Spellbinders Labels Twenty-Five and Spellbinders Ribbon Tag Trio Two.

Clare attached the die-cut to her card using some Marigold Twine. Don't you love how the "Thanks A Bunch" sentiment is placed precisely over a sticker border and the white dots outline the sentiment?  Brilliant!

Here's a list of all the SRM Stickers used on this card:

Drop by tomorrow for more SRM goodness!

Thinking of You by Tobi

As we approach the choosing of a new Design Team, I have asked our current designers to do a "Free Play" assignment and work with their favorite SRM product.  And I've also asked them to tell us why they love that particular product.

First up is Tobi Crawford who was on the 2010 Design Team and has loved using SRM Stickers ever since.  Tobi's favorite product is the vast array of Sticker Sentiments.  Whether the original Sticker Sentiments or Fancy Sticker Sentiments Tobi finds that these products fits in with her cardmaking no matter what materials or methods she is using.  She loves that she can create her focal image, usually stamped, and then has a wide range of choices for her sentiment:  fancy, bold, large, vertical, color and the list goes on.

When Tobi finished with the image on this beautiful card, the card said "solemn" to her so she chose a thoughtful sentiment from Fancy Sticker Sentiments Thinking of You sheet.  Perfection!

Thanks Tobi for your beautiful work and for your love of all things SRM!  We have loved having you on the very first Design Team and now again on the mini term Design Team.  Your work is stunning!

Crocheted TUBE Cover by Amy

Many of our friends and fans are multi-talented crafters.  When recently asked, lots of our Facebook followers revealed that they are life-long knitters or crocheters.  So when we asked our Design Team members if any of them would like to do a project with SRM's TUBES showing how they are great for storage, Amy Crockett jumped at the chance to play!

Amy took one of her 7" TUBES.

She crocheted a darling cozy for her TUBE and topped it with a crocheted flower.  How fun!

Then she loaded her crochet hooks inside and tucked the TUBE info her knitting bag!  She loves how convenient the TUBES are for organization.

What would you organize with TUBES?  The possibilities are endless!
