Crafting with Kids; Ornaments

Here's a fun project to do with the little ones - handmade ornaments!

I purchased plain, plastic, clear ornaments (didn't want to use glass with little hands), removed the metal toppers and put them in the middle of the craft table along with my bucket of acrylic paint bottles. My children chose two - three paint colors for each ornament. They dripped the paints into the ornaments, covered the hole, then shook them a bit until the inside of the ornaments were covered in paint swirls;

I then positioned the ornaments upside down on dixie cups for a few days while they drained and dryed. I added coordinating bows to each ornament using heavy duty glue.

My girls then packaged them in clear bags, added SRM to/from labels, twine, more ribbon, and a jingle bell;

SRM labels were perfect for this project;
